Hope you all are having a wonderful vacation :wizard:

I managed to snag an AP discount at the WL for our Dec trip this morning :cool1: So Excited!!!!!!

Well, all that rain that Florida has not seen showed up today. Weather report said 40% chance of afternoon thunderstorm but we are in Florida so that pretty much goes without saying. We show up at MK and just as we approach the entrance the sky opens up. Well, we really tried to be good sports and get through it with our ponchos but it was beyond regular poncho weather. I will say that we had the park to ourselves. No one was there. We walked right onto Snow White, Small World, Peter Pan, and rode the carousel 5 times without getting off. That is all that DD2 has been asking for, to ride the horses. Glad we finally got to do it. It was very strange to see MK so empty. We finally went to Guest Relations and said that the weather was just too bad to hang in and they gave us a pass to return at another time. We may go tomorrow when Spectro is showing or we may just save our one day passes that I was planning to use on Sunday and use these tickets on Sunday instead. Have to check the weather.

MKY: We are also having a very relaxing vacation. We have lots of down time planned, mostly because this was a budget trip, but we are enjoying it none the less. We actually all wished we stayed at the hotel on our arrival day instead of heading to the Beach Club for dinner. We enjoyed ourselves but a lot of work on our first day. Hopefully we will catch up on Tuesday.

TP2, sorry about the rain. The Field of Dreams is flooding while you're away. We have standing water in our back yard. It's bad. Good thing we had our sump pump fixed though.

That is awesome about the rides in FL. Perhaps when you go back, you can hit some of the coasters or the other lands. I'm so glad that Disney took care of you too. I know someone who did that over the holidays as there were too many people in the park.

I hope the P&P Party is awesome for you!!

Hi TP2- :goodvibes
Im so sorry about the wash out at the Magic Kingdom...but I think I would take having the park all to my self (as you guys did) ...any way I could get it !!
WE had the same thing happen to us one day....but we scrapped our plans and went shopping at DTD....I almost wished we braved the rain at the parks....as every one in the "World" had the same Idea....DTD was mobbed that day !!:earseek:
Im so glad you got passes for a Do-Over !!:cloud9:
It rained here in New Jersey "ALL WEEK"...Not as bad as in EE`s neck of the woods...but bad enough....sooooo don`t worry about your lawn....its probably very Green !!!! ;)
Enjoy the rest of your vacation !!!...Im sure the girls are having fun! :yay:

Hiya everyone!

:wizard: TP2, your right about the rain. We could not see magic kingdom, from our balcony at cr. It was in a cloud. Lots of lightening too. Was good today, till sis and I put on our swim gear. Sunny one minute and pouring the next.

EE22 & Tomar, sounds like the storm hit bad at home too. Lots of tornado's in area. Dad said, we lost part of a tree. No flooding in our home, we where very lucky.

Tommorrow marks the 1 month in the boot. It is off and on but getting better slowly. We are still enjoying our vacation. But miss my Vader :darth Hope school is going well. You guys are almost down to 10 months.:dance3:

mky:cutie:

It's good to hear from you too MKY. I was at the special shoe store today and saw your foot "issue" on the wall. I am breaking in my new walking shoes this winter for WDW.:cool1:

I've got 10 days DONE and 10 days closer to our trip.:thumbsup2

DD's new passion is putting Hidden Mickeys in her school projects. She did one of Lady Liberty as a postcard assignment on immigration for history and she put a Hidden Mickey in the smoke of the ship:rotfl:

We have to get home soon. Vader :darth is limping. grandparents said? Went to vet, said its sprained. I said he wants to be lame, like his mom's. To fit in?

Enjoy the rest of your vacation..and have a safe trip home !!!

Hiya Everyone: We are back. DD8 got pnemonia while we were there. It was finally diagnosed on the 26th and she was put on heavy antibiotics that made her really sick. Got home on the 29th after the 48 hours she needed to be on antibiotics so she could fly and would up in the ER. Her temp was over 105:scared1: when we got home. She spent 2 nights there and we are finally home tonight and I am delirious. We know she inhaled pool water on the 23rd and she started complaining of chest pain on the 24th. Not sure if it is really possible to get pnemonia that way but nothing else makes sense. No one else is sick and she did not even have a sniffle before or after being diagnosed. Whole thing is just crazy. Maybe WDW in August is just too much on the kids. I have to agree with MKY, the weather was really hot. Like, can't breath hot.

MKY: Hope you enjoy your last couple of days. Sorry we missed you at the P&P. We got there around 7:45pm and only stayed for a couple of hours. DD8 passed out in DD2's stroller around 10:30pm. She really tried to make the best of it. Poor kid.

OMG!!! I am just going through my e-mail and was reading the latest edition of ALLEARS and they were talking about this new interactive show at Epcot with the Muppets (which we saw). I check out the pictures and I am in one of them with DD8. I can't believe it. It is so weird. Of course our faces are blurred but I know it is us for sure. How weird.

TP2: I cannot believe she got that sick! :scared1: I'm so sorry. So you cut it short then?

Every year I took the kids to Michigan when they were little, I was always in the emergency care center or emergency room with them. Vacation wear them down I guess.

How is she doing now?

TP2- Welcome back !!!! Im soooo sorry to hear about DD :sad2: ...I don`t know....but from someone who had Pneumonia for all last winter....my guess would be that .....because of the extreme heat...and going from outside... to all air-con ...that could be a possibility too....I worried about that myself....when we were walking around the MK...sweating....and then gong in to an attraction that had the AC sooo cold.....:scared1:
Her resistance was probably not as strong as everyone elses at that moment...:sad2: ...but like you said...it could have been some bacteria in the pool also.....who knows...:confused3
I hope that she is doing better though....pixiedust:

Thanks everyone. DD is doing better. We just got back from yet another doctor appointment. She has 2 days left of antibiotics and then she will need another x-ray. She is supposed to start school on Wednesday and all the doctors say it is fine. We did not leave early because we had to wait to fly home. Our activities were very limited. We would spend the days in the room and go out only to eat dinner. We have tons of food vouchers left and park tickets. Such a shame. I am just so happy she is feeling better. It was torture to be there with such a sick kid.

I am so glad she is doing better TP2. What a bummer on the tickets and food...at least the food was free.

I believe MKY gets home the tomorrow.

I hit single digit months today:cheer2:

TP2- I saw the picture !!!!:goodvibes You and DD are celebrities !!
Im so glad that she is feeling better  ...I know it`s not fun being in your room for most of the day at Disney.....that happened to us one year when the boys were small...DH came down with "Vertigo" at Disney !!:faint: we were at CBR and had to have the doctor come to our room...he just couldn`t move from the bed !
Our biggest accomplishment that week... was just getting out to go to dinner :earseek:

EE22- Single months !!!!!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
