Tomar: Did you really see the picture? It is the third one from the list of four. We are all in the picture except for DH, he ran to get a fastpass for Sourin.

All we did was dinner too. We did go to the P&P on Tuesday but only for a couple of hours and after the sun set. She is doing much better now but is still sleeping a lot. She will just take a cat nap in the middle of the day. I guess it is all part of the recovery.

TP2- YES.. I did see you and DD.!!:goodvibes ..it was the third picture YES:goodvibes...You had a white top on...Right? ! ;)
I was very tired when I had Pneumonia...I was dragging my self for a long time....I`m sure she`s going to bounce back much faster though...she`s young and strong princess: ...and Im getting old and weak:crazy: LOL

Well we have our trip booked for March 2008 but I plan on making another trip in the summer so that I can stay at AKV with a savanna view room.

I think we will go July 13-22 or July 20-29th. I am not sure which yet.

TP2...I saw the pic too...I went back and looked again after you mentioned it.
I'm glad your DD is doing better. Good luck with school this week.

I've lived through DS driving off alone in the mornings and one Friday night to a friend's house too while you were gone;)

Hiya everyone!:cheer2:

Yes, we got back last nite. :sad2: It was a very different trip. Lots of time at the AMC, pleasure island. We saw 4 movies. War, Bourne ultimatium, Becoming jane, and the katherine zeta-jones cooking movie. The last movie, was in a major rain storm, on sat. sis got out of the car first, to give her a head start on tix, and fell in the storm drain. :confused3 Her glasses fogged up, from the car air conditioner and she was blind. I wished I had brought my video camera. :rotfl: She was fine, just VERY embarressed. Lots of TV too. TP2, sounds like you guys did alot of that too. Disney has some bad tv. Many disney looping shows, then the cnn's, espn's, 2 relegious stations, nascar station, poker channel?, 2 lifetime stations, at least 4 infomursials stations, and then all of these in spanish, and in print for the hard of hearing.
I will try to write a small trip highlight and will put the page on our thread here.
Going disabled was very eye opening. The sheer unbelivable rudness of most people, really put me off the idea of trying to walk or ride around any of the parks. Just didn't have the energy, or will to fight through it. The heat was really bad, worse this year than usual. Glad tp2 (who is much younger) agreed. Sis kept asking if I had on my hormone patch, I was so red and hot all the time.;)

ee22, Your down to single digits months!!!! Hope school is going well.
tomar, finally finished your pictures, and reports > wow, you two are young grandparents! No one would believe your a grandma.

We don't have any pictures to show this trip. Apparently, the phototag's don't approach the old, disabled spinster types. :confused3 Overall, the cm's where nice. They tend to ignore your disability. Unless you specifically ask about getting on a ride or line. I did learn the disabled > get no FOTL / or special treatment for that matter. The whole process is get a fastpass > then show up and get in the fastpass line. Ummm, thought that sounded familiar. A very few rides, allow special entrances, but I never pushed that issue, or requested anything special. Even thou they gave us a GAC card upon entering the mk the 1st time.

We got the "free dining" offer for next year. I will NOT go again, during free dining. It is just nuts. The resturants where packed. I never seen so much food consumed or wasted by so many people. The cm's saying "your not? on the dining plan?" :sad2: The resturants then went into speed eating mode. We went to tony's the week before (fd=free dining) and relaxed ate lunch, given free bread with meal, brought extra pop & told relax, cool off...., During fd > sat, abrupt waitress "fd?, order... I am not kidding she took order got pop, and 3 minutes later our food was on the table. We where ready to leave in 20 minutes start to finish. She almost pulled my sis's plate out from under her. Reaching for the plate, she said "I'll take that for you since your done" Sis (not happy) with a fork of pasta say "I am still eating" ..... So she said, well "i will just leave your bill" Since we weren't fd> guess we don't get asked about dessert?

Oh well, we about 78 days out! I need to go over our adr's. And weed out a couple. :upsidedow

TP2, sorry we missed each other. After I got back to the room, I saw you had called me back. We left right after the fireworks. Wasn't feeling good. And yes, inhaled water can definately cause pneumonia. But she could of caught something on the plane too? You never really know. Wished we could of helped somehow. A ride somewhere if needed would of been no problem, etc... . Hope you had some fun. And that she is recovering. Kids bounce back fast. :cheer2:

Happy planning, once again!:cutie: mky

MKY: Glad you are home safely. I am sorry this wasn't the perfect trip for you, but it doesn't sound like the Magic is gone though :goodvibes

Hi MKY- Welcome back !!!!!!
I too, am sorry that this trip wasn`t exactly what you wanted it to be:angel:
I hope that your feeling better with the foot situation....and that the next trip coming up...will be FULL FULL FULL of Magic for you !!! ;) pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:
I`ll be reading your trip report alittle later today....can`t wait !! Thank you for posting the link !:goodvibes

MKY: So sorry your trip was not what you wanted. I think we both lived the same trip. I am so disappointed because I really had a great itinerary this year. Not to crazy, trying to keep it relaxing before the big back to school rush. I was sorry I missed you too. So close, yet so far.

DD8 is definately feeling much better. She is done with antibiotics but is still sleeping a lot more than usual. She is going to start school tomorrow which she is looking forward to.

Can't wait to read MKY's tr. I am going to try to get to one but I don't think it will be very long. Disney Channel only has so many shows and I think we actually saw some of the same episodes more than once during this trip.

Hope everyone else is well.

Hiya everyone! thanks for the welcome backs.

TP2, glad DD is doing a little better. Rest & fluids.:thumbsup2

Well we are already back to full blown planning mode. Looking forward not backward.:surfweb: Today called and changed several adr's. Had to drop several gf's tea's. (you will understand after reading the trip report). We are not going to change resorts. We toyed with the ap rate computer & I can get SSR 1 br for 13 nites (poly portion) cheaper than the poly gv. :upsidedow So we are hee hawing that idea. But think we want to stay on the monorail. We will still stay at CSR for a try out. The thanksgiving & weekend $$$ prices are really high for those 4 days.

We are also considering to cruise or not to cruise 08'? And when to go back? Aug > not if it is in free dining. Maybe we should join you guys in july? But I bet it is packed then? Are the tour groups a problem in july? I am not sure what we want to do yet.

The foot, I believe is much better, I see my md tommorrow. So I will know for sure, but it feels much better.:woohoo: Planning on going to work on thursday. hopefully!popcorn:: I am supposed to be off fri and work the weekend then. So life will return to normal soon. (i hope) didn't think I would be looking forward to work.;)

Hope everyone had a great labor day weekend. mky:cutie:

Sounds like you could have had a better trip.

We have gone a couple of times in July and the crowds are pretty big and the rude soccer teams are around (most are in their teens, so you can imagine).

It is hot in July but not as bad as August.

We are going in March 2008 and then again in July 2008 so that I can stay at AKV in a Savanna view room.

candizfan, thanks.that'swhat i remember about july. We have been in july before but it has been a few years. We went March 06' and the weather early was cooler than I thought it would be. Very crowded cause we ran into easter. Are you dvc?

TP2, I found your pictures too! :thumbsup2 They are blurred somewhat now but I pretty sure I can make them out. :) That is soooooooo cool being in her website! I won a prize 1 month last year for being in the allears newletter, giving trip ideas. They mailed me a mug & luggage tags. :cool2:

happy planning, mky:cutie:

MKY, We are DVC members. I love it! :cool1:

We have stayed at the resort and done the Disney Cruise as well. We own a lot of points with our new purchase, so you will see me on the Trade/Rent board as well.

I want to do a Disney Adventure vacation at some point as well. Maybe when the kids are older and don't want to come with us on vacation any more.......with my luck that won't ever happen.

Jo-Anne

Candizfan, alot of the members of this thread are now dvc. ;) I am still a hold out.:confused3 Can't stay home and save up the money.:rotfl2: We just keep going back. I know we should seriously think about it. But haven't yet. I noticed your from windsor! We used to cut through windsor going to niagra falls. It was a beauitful city. Haven't been in years (since disney obcessed). Those disney adventures look pretty nice. We have been on the wonder twice, and have a cruise booked for aug 08' but not sure if we are still going on it.

Well, been to the md. No work for another 2 to 4 weeks. Have to go to therapy, and can wean out of the boot (thank you). So things are better. :yay:

Hi MKY

Yes we are from Windsor. Lots has changed in the past few years. We have a casino now and the waterfront parks run for miles now. :goodvibes

We even have a sculpure garden along the paths that is really pretty good.

DVC is a big committment and it really has to be utilized to be worthwhile but I am glad we did it. Our house is very nearly paid off, so the debt was not such a big deal now. We looked at buying in 1995, but we were expecting our first child and the $ was not available. We have done two add ons since we bought in 2004...the latest was AKV in June.

We figure we can now "share" the time we get with the kids when they have kids, but they will probably have to fight me for the time. :rotfl:

Get in the pool for some therapy once you can...it really helps to shorten the recovery time once it has healed.

Peace and fast healing to you. :hippie: Jo-Anne

MKY glad you have good news about your foot.

I've been so busy that I haven't even had time to read your trippie yet. I have to have time without anyone bugging me and that seems like a pure miracle these days. Work is busy :teacher: and still HOT...yuck. There seems to be one crisis after another and our class sizes are still HUGE this year  Home is busy with homework with two in high school now and football games and gear to wash:laundy: . The best thing we did was buy another car so DS can drive himself home. We only live a mile from the school, but the time saved waiting is worth it. The nights after games it's nice too because we left and were home nearly in a coma we were so tired, but DS had to stay and help bring in the Varsity gear so didn't get home till 45 minutes later. I'll keep telling myself that when I make the car payments.

We also had a very stressful week with DS as he was injured in practice on Labor Day:mad: He went to a sports doc and there is no damage, but he can no longer play defense and can only play offense. His has weird flexibility where his shoulder pops our of the socket:scared: It happened all last season and DH and I finally said enough of this noise!! We'd like him to have two functional arms for his future life and as the track coach said his shoulder is golden for throwing!

Tomar and I booked our rental cars:banana: I got her onto a good price and bless her, she helped me figure out the dang coupon!!! :rotfl:

I have only been to the World in early July. All I know is the fireworks on the 3rd and 4th in MK are amazing!! The crowds in the park on the 3rd were not bad, but at night they were wall to wall people in MK, but we knew that going in. Sort of like Christmas time.

Hi Guys !!!:goodvibes
Well I just finished getting my "Disney closet" back in shape...LOL...and finished until next trip ... I think that all this washing a drying was just alittle too much for the old faithfuls to handle..."Cause they finally broke down" !
We bought a new set (with a nice sale on Labor Day)...and they are supposed to be delivered tomorrow...:cheer2: but...since last week...I`ve been hanging all the wash...ICK !:laundy:

MKY :cutie: -Hope your feeling better with your footpixiedust: ...and Happily Planning your next trip ...coming up soon !

TP2- Your paobably very busy with the girls starting school this week here in the east coast...Hope DD is feeling better toopixiedust:

EE22- Yep- Soo glad the car is out of the way now  ...I think we did good !!:drive: :cheer2:

Candizfan- Hi  and welcome :welcome: Yes ..some of us that post here ARE DVC Members ...and speaking for myself....I adore "Owning a little peice of the Magic":goodvibes

Hiya everyone!

Well, we changed it up. :surfweb: I had a feeling, I would.:confused3 After Tomar's beautiful pictures & We rode through it. We are now staying at SSR! Ok, I read the boards, and was reading about someone calling and still getting an AP rate after all this time. Sooooooooooooo yes, I tried out the ap site. :surfweb: I could get the SSR over thanksgiving (our csr time) but only if we stayed 6 nites. 1 brm! So We are now SSR nov 21> 27 & Poly 27 > Dec 8. I tried to remember Tomar telling me where she request, (we had no idea otherwise) & asked for high floor & congress park. I did call and did it all through cro, but feel content now. With giving up 2 poly nites & adding 2 nites to first part , the price is $150.00 more only.:hippie: When I worked it out, I was really surprised. The ap rate at SSR is well worth it.:scared1: But now we are in a 1 br villa 6 nites and 11 nites poly instead of 4 csr & 13 poly. (aaa rates)

So tomar, is my request ok? Or should we of asked for something else?

EE22, what kind of deal do you guys have on the rental car? Is it available in nov?

Happy planning! mky:cutie:

(I hate therapy, OOuch!!!

So tomar, is my request ok? Or should we of asked for something else?

!

The request is fine MKY...except that I would call CRO and ask them to put on the ressie....Congress Park (which you have:goodvibes )...Upper Floor(which you have:goodvibes )...."Downtown Disney View" :cloud9:
If you don`t ask for DTD view...you might get a viilla on the side of the building ...Asking for DTD view will have you looking at the water :cloud9:
Sooo happy that you guys are staying at my Home Resort !:woohoo: Can`t wait for your review !!!! ;)
