MKY: Not sure what else Doc is looking for but the scope is no fun. They have been putting off doing that to DD4 because of her age. We are lucky to have found the eggs. She is doing much better. Still have problems with her ears so we are going to an ENT in February. Please take care of yourself and feel better. Our friend with Divuticulitis did not take care of himself and ate whatever he wanted and paid for it. You are smart to stay away from popcorn.

I think the promos this year have been fooling people. They keep putting together these packages and it is harder to figure the true savings. You got it right though. I keep playing with the numbers for the 7 for 4 and it is pretty much close to 40% off room only rates. Problem is exactly what you said, it is in high season. August is so much cheaper. Right now we are scheduled to leave on the 10th and nothing has come out that is cheaper than what we have. It would be nice if the rumors were true, 7 for 4 with free dining. Even with that, it would only be worth it if dining were completely free and not 3 days free. Dining would cost us $144 per day so even with 3 days free out of 7 we are looking at close to $90 per day. Would not spend that much every day so not really worth it. It is just nice to have the peace of mind knowing that everything is paid for and you just need to arrive.

As for the pox, the girls are a lot better today. So far only needed to do Calamine lotion 1x on 1 kid. They are starting to scab over so by Monday we should be good to go. As for DD4, I am praying that the vaccine worked on her. Maybe because she is younger and had the vaccine and booster closer together than the other 2. Didn't know about the heat but it makes sense. They have been worse every morning.

TP2, yes, I am missing those august prices. October is going to be very expensive. But bug, really does not want to go in november /december. October is still warmer and able to swim. So will probably stick with early october. September, is too rainy and don't want to be there during the free dining. Too crowded. Not to mention #1 rehabing month.

I am still a little nervous about the pool work. But, bug has a point that it could be too cold to swim, and if people are using the poly pool that will be crowded. GF is out of reach I am saving tower $$$$ for October and MNSSHP fireworks. So we are spending gv / gw $$$ only. I am so spoiled.

Had to go to the Allergy Doc today...(everything is well ...thank goodness )....I missed alot of chatting it looks like !
MKY- ...thank you for the compliment...and YOU are a wonderful Nurse !!
If It wasn`t for your experteeze ...Id have been alot more nervous when the Princess had her T&A op in Oct....that`s for sure
I pray that when you go to the surgeon ....he says that the DVTL can be helped with just the meds...and that`s all that you have !!!!

TP2- Missed the Travel channel Disney shows today...were they the same ones of New Years eve ?....I DVR`ed those ....
Glad to hear that the girls are feeling alittle better ...every day will be better ..and we will keep our fingers crossed for DD4 !

EE22- How`s the bestest teacher in the field of dreams doing ??

Been watching the code boards for the AP rates ....EE mentioned that they are out for April...Id like one...(AP rate).. for one of the weekends we will be at the Boardwalk villas this trip....right now we have it held with the AAA rate....it`s really not bad either...but..Im curious to know how much lower the Ap rate will be....(if we get one ).. over the AAA rate we already have (percentage wise )

MKY- .....I am so happy tooo Thank you ...this is the first year Im Asthma-free for a longgggggggggggggggggggggggg time !! This is the first winter I can say that....Im usually worse around this time !

Well if it took you a spat with DAD to be the wonderful nurse you are....so be it !! ....
I know GH is a TV show and it ain`t ...the... Real ...Deal ...but....you come very close to being the "Bobbi Spenser" of your hospital I bet !!
( I used to watch GH a very longgggggggggg time ago when the boys were babies...that`s how long it`s on the air !! )
BWV- WE are doing a split stay this year...having trouble with getting flights out with reward travel ....so we opted to take a little longer vacation 7 nights at SSR...10 at the BWV ...and take our chances with the airlines coming up with a decent price (at least)... for one fare....and using our rewards for the other....we could have gotten 2 free tickets this year...but nooooooooooooooooooooooooo ....everything and the kitchen sink has changed with continental .........seating....bagggage fees ....reward qualifications...it`s unbelieveable !!

Hey Tomar!

Trust me, I am old enough to know exactly who bobbi spencer is. I always joke at work: Bobbi spencer only walked around, dressed nice, carried a clip board and got in the elevator. We are the exact opposite. We run around, look like slobs in scrubs, never use a clip board, and I never leave our unit.

WOW, your gonna suffer at wdw for 17 nites. Not sure if you can take those extra days. I know, I am gonna loose alot of United points not flying with them this time. Southwest, for now is still saying 2 bags, and no extra fees. No change fees, so we will see. Midway is easier from where we live. Only, I will miss the airline check in desk at wdw. That is sooooooooooooooo nice. The airlines, are 1 reason we are going to try: that locker thing. I have 1 and sis bought #2. I want to leave all our wdw stuff there. Hats, backpack, sundries, and she wants a toaster oven. [we might buy a cheapie and keep it there]. Don't have luxury unless you in the dvc's. But with her food issues it would be very handy. I think the saving for breakfast would pay for it. Got an extra hair dryer, I plan to leave too. I hate the wdw ones.

Have you stayed at BW before? We had a 1 brd, overlooking the main pool. Could see mgm's fireworks. I thought the rooms looked bigger than the BCV ones? But not sure. We had a double balcony too. Too bad, it was right after they opened and it was not run very well yet. Pool was unkept. Cigerettes all around from the day before, old cups laying around. Then they didn't turn on the fountains or open the slide you had to ask and they would say, oh yeah. The front desk was unbelieveable. Totally, unhelpful. Didn't know how to register us, cause we wheren't dvc. The worse was the parking and valet. Very slow, not friendly. >> Now, we have visited bwv alot since this and we had no problems, parking or valet, and didn't deal with desk. I have check out the pool and things looked ok now. I remember they had a lovely quiet pool, no one used too. The boat ramp is all steel too > be sure to not line up. You will bake. Everyone hides in the shade away from there and sprinted for the boat when they seen it. I never understood why they didn't add a canopy? It is very close to swan and the fantasia gardens golf you can walk to. I think you will like the bw. It is alot busier than ssr, and it will feel like a new trip once you move.

We are going 17 nites too. And split the same: 7 & 10 at the end. That will be sooooooo much fun in august. You can relax and totally take your time.

Does anyone have info about canceling with a package? Or Insurance? I hate to buy the insurance, but if something goes wrong with my gut problems > we probably will cancel march. Bug, doesn't want me to pay it off [I was gonna early] just incase. Insurance for the 2 trips would be close to 200.00 I think, for medical reasons, you would get more back as long as its before the 5 days out. And the farther out the more you get back?

Tomar: So glad to hear all is well with your Asthma. DD4 was good this year and I was thinking that it was because of the eggs. Maybe whatever it is that sets it off is better this year for whatever reason. I don't really know, only guessing but it is good news regardless.

I did not know you extended your trip either. That is great news. I would love to push for the 17 days but that is just more than I can get away with. I stayed at the YC for a LONG time back in 1997. That is when I was working and had perks. I loved it there and would go back in a heartbeat. First off, there is so much to do at the BW you can survive without the parks. Then Epcot is RIGHT THERE. I loved just walking over and I think you will too. MGM is a quick boat ride and the fireworks! When that UK deal was out with the room discount and free dining, I priced that out and even DH was willing to pay the extra to stay there. He came down to visit while I was working and saw how nice it was there.

We are also going to use some CC miles this year. We will get 3 free tickets but I want it to work out so that we can still travel together. I am a little nervous but I can't even think about it yet because SW has not come out for August.

MKY: I also watch Greys. Can't talk to me when it is on.

I also bought a toaster over for this summer. I picked it up at Target on Black Friday for $15. With DD4 and the egg allergy I figured it may come in handy. Not sure how the food court is going to work out. Plus we can save a few pennies heating up leftovers. I am hoping to eat one big meal out per day and then just a snack. Breakfast is easy. How does Bug handle CS with allergies? I know ts won't be a problem but the cs is concerning me.

As for cancelling a package, it is 45 days, which I am sure you know. From there it depends on how far out. I think it is $100 or $200 depending on how close to the trip you cancel. I bought insurance more for trip interuption. After DD10 got sick in 2007 we lost so much. P&P tickets, room price with free dining (rack rate), taxi's, prescription money. With SW, you can cancel and keep a credit for a future trip and with DW I remember the $200 if you cancel 48 hours out but don't quote me because things change.

Thanks for the update on the cancel policy. I think your right, it sounds familiar. I don't think for us, that the insurance would be that beneficial.

Good thing about the allergies everyone! As for bug, for food it is just the chochlate. WDW is probably the only place, she would get ice cream or desert cause she trust them. The main street ice cream palor > changes gloves, dipper, and opens new ice cream so as NO chocholate. Here I would not trust it. Even at DTD, ghiradelli's, would not serve her, or "she could take her chances", but they where not doing anything different. Same dipper, ice cream.... . So you have to trust, where you are eating. Regular resturants at wdw, usually the chef comes and talks to her, if she wants something. At poly, she could not eat the bread pudding, he said yes, there was white chocholate in it. So they substituted. I think EE22, is the expert about allergy eating. Bug, has more issues with Diabetes, and she is allergic to 75% of all medications. Can't take any antibiotic's. [so far] She usually, can take a new one > then the next time she will react to it, and have to try something else. We are running out thou.

We first thought about a toaster, than she upgraded her idea to toaster oven, She thought she could add alot of ideas with that. Melt cheese and crackers, warm up rolls, etc.. . She even talked microwave and I said lets start with this and see what happens. We priced them around here and can probably find a cheapie for 20.00 and will store in the locker thing.
Glad to see, that we are not the only ones thinking this. One year to GF, we had room service and they gave us a toaster. [GF guest, don't get cold toast] We asked if we could keep it and did for a few days.

MKY: Yes, I also bought the toaster oven. Trying to come up with stuff that does not need a freezer but can be heated in micro and toaster is more difficult than I thought. That coupled with the egg thing, that is. I know I need to call and ask dining some questions but we are still waiting a bit longer to tell the girls and don't want to talk about it in front of them.

How are you feeling today? I am ready to break out of this taco stand, I tell you that. They are feeling better and probably could have technically gone to school today but I figure one more day off will not change too much and then the weekend will help to make things perfect to return.

EE22: Hope you get a break this weekend but I am sure you have a BB Game and then homework. Is today the last day for midterms? At least the kids can breath again. I remember basketball being a couple of times per week. Hang in there, it is probably half way over?

mky -...I used to watch GH when Luke and Laura were as young as I was .... .....with Anna Devane and Scorpio.... ....Frisco and Felica ......OK.....seems Im giving my age away here !!! ......
About the longggggggggggg vacation this year....it came as a suprise to me too .....WE usually leave ....mid-week....but with the "NON-reward" travel for mid-week...it was in our best interest to leave on the weekend....(with DVC Sun. starts the first day of lesser points )....
We stood at the BWV back in `05 for a week...and in `06 when The Princess was born....I remember writing my TR about the longggggggggggggggggg hallways to you guys ...
Glad that you and Bug are getting the Owners locker.....it pays for you to do that since you go more than once a year !!.....

I remember you mentioning that you stood at the YC...it IS nice to be at the Epcot resorts...your in the middle of everything....but I have to admit...that is something that Mr. Tomar rather avoid ....He loves the tranquility of his Home resort of Satatoga....I bribed him with staying extra days by the pool..... to do a split stay...
Im so glad that DD4 is doing well with her asthma also ....I was soooo happy to hear I don`t have to see the allergist for 6 months now ...WHOO HOO ....

EE22- I know you`ve been sooo busy with School projects and such.....I hope also...that you can rest this weekend !!

How I wish we were going to Disney as early as all of you here, but still we are in process of planning. Maybe we will have our trip on December, I'm excited and little bit crazy. But we can change our minds every now and then.

6 inches of snow on the ground this morning and it's still snowing.
mky...hope you're doing better and getting well.
TP2...hope the pox are continuing to heal. Not fun.
Tomar...hope the snow doesn't hit you too hard.

We had basketball last night. Both teams won so that's good. Bball is getting long now, but once chemistry is done for the term I think DL11 will be in better shape. Last week in Jan she has 5 games in a week.

Finals start on Tuesday...I'll be glad when those are done.

Did you guys see tommorrowland transit authority is closing after Easter till mid / late august & that Space Mt. is also going down right after Easter till late 09. I think the TTA is actually my favorite ride & always a restful stand by. I can ride it over and over again.

mky...we went to T Rex. Excellent food, but on the loud side. Fun to be inside. Neat decor. It really was our best meal while there. Made a ressie for this summer since they take them 6 months out.

We at the Plaza at MK for the first time and it was good...limited menu, but all we needed. We didn't eat much counter service, but Casey's Corner will probably be one of our favorites...if ya like dogs, but like DL11 says she never eats dogs except there.

Columbia House is one of my friend Susie's favorite places at MK. I think Tomar likes it...I can't eat much there.

I did see Space Mountain. I didn't tell DL11 about the TTA...she was glad she rode SM a few times, but I didn't give her the news about the TTA...she'll be so upset. She too loves that ride. She still loves Indy Speedway too...made me go with her I thought I saw it would be limited hours for TTA, but maybe that's been changed. I figure she's on dis so when she finds out, we'll deal with the aftermath

It's really slick here...we had snow, then rain, then too much snow after that. Coming home from the game last night was not good. I'm glad we only have about a mile to drive. Took forever to get out of the parking lot.

By the way...it was 80 when we were there and no one was in the pool. I don't think they are busy like they are in the summer...it's so cool in the mornings.
