Happy New Year everyone!

We are leaving for the airport at 9am tomorrow. I was just wanting to check in.

We do NYE at my mom's with family and the kids.

We spent most of the day today getting ready for the trip and it is time for lights out for me.

When we were kids we always would go snowmobiling and then have a big bonfire and roast hot dogs and make smores. I don't think I'd like that much anymore...too COLD. With my grandmother we always pulled taffy before we went out.

I actually completely missed the NY New Year I was cleaning.

I watched Travel Channel last night. I sent a shout out to everyone but I never saw it posted. Did you guys get to see the messages scrolled at the bottem of the screen?

Candi: Have a great trip.

MKY: I have never been to NYE in the city but I went to school in the city for 2 years and one year I went to the tree lighting at Rockefeller Center. What a nightmare! So crowded and when the lights went on on the tree the crowd just pushed. My feet were not touching the ground and a woman next to me was there with her kid. The kid fell in the chaos and almost got trampled. We were all screaming. That was early in the evening and people were not drinking like they do on NYE. I swore I would never do anything like that again. It was terrible.

Tomar: Thanks so much for letting me know about the Travel Channel. We all watched all evening and then cryed during Samantha Brown. I would love to travel the way she does.

Happy New Year !!

TP2- We don`t have the texting service on our phones....(ROTFL...I don`t now how to use it anyway ...our DS`s Do though )...I was watching the bottom of the screen too all night.....I would have been soooooooooooooooooooo excited to see a "Shout out" from you !!!
Alot of people did though....it was a very nice thing for the TC to do for us !!
At 11 we switched back to The Ball drop in New York City.....those people must have been FREEZING thier Buns off out there ! ....ICK...Im glad I was comfy and cozy watching Uncle Walt last night

Forgot to tell you guys. My BIL got engaged for Christmas. Of course it is wonderful news and I am so thrilled, it has been a long wait. But I am wreck over the wedding. I am sure they are going to do it fast and we booked 2 WEEKS in August. I am praying they do it in June or any other time that we are not away. Have to wait and see, she is off until Monday so I am hoping she has been doing some of the leg work during the break.

TP2: I did see some of those messages. I didn't join in until the second round of the cruise and I was watching them, but didn't see anyone I knew.

DS and DL11 text like crazy. I'm slow and they make fun of me

I saw some group of ladies were in Time Square from 2 in the afternoon. How could you stand that long

Congrats on the BIL. Fingers crossed here too that it's in June. Convince them that August is TOO HOT!!!

I completely missed NYC bringing in the new year. I was cleaning...what is wrong with me DH and DS went to a movie. I tried to bring in the year with MKY, but our Chicago station is gone I wasn't staying up for the West Coast though that's all I know!!

Tomar...thanks for letting us know about the TC...I taped the cruise one. I'm going to watch it with DH. I think I could get him to go on one I don't think there are deals for those though like deals for WDW.

I think we'd be in big trouble with sleeping with DS and DL11 now though...not enough room. The WL was painful with 2 queens.

TP2 Congrat's to your BIL! Fingers crossed for the date. How exciting! I don't blame you about NYE either. Sad, that it would be something special, and the crazy's ruin everything. Last year in chicago > 4th of July >> they where shooting guns into the crowd You never know.

Tomar You should try the 3 day cruise. I get car sick, train sick, air sick, ............... You name it, so Bug really wanted to do the cruise, and I said ok, for 3 days only. I never everrrrrrrrrrrrrrr got sick. [we have done it twice] And yes castaway cay is the ONLY reason to do the cruise. It is wonderful.

EE22 cleaning, I thought I was pathetic. I feel asleep during samantha brown. Of course, I have the excuse > worked today. Congrat's on the airfare!!!! I always worry, if we will have to cancel a trip for some reason, but once I have airfare > no way.

I thought about the shout out thing too. But we don't text. I wanted to write a hi to fellow disney nuts: candi, tomar, tp2, and ee22. Have a great wdw vacation in 2009!

Planning wise: today is #69. And I think we will be calling to pay off our trip. I ran the numbers last nite, and don't think with even a great ap rate it would be a good idea to change. We are saving the ap tix for almost a 9 months, getting 2 x $200 gift card, and got a pretty good rate with tix. It also comes with boats, and mini golf > both of which we always do, so think I will just stay put. I almost forgot: Tomar, Bug did get a adr for spoodles. She surprised me. So, I am excited, we are trying that are narcoosee's for the first time. Now do we have to dress up?

mky...I've been at it again with the cleaning. I need to go back to work so I can rest I baked cookies and cleaned this afternoon and took another shower and now I need another one! I did the same thing yesterday. I don't sit still well. I went up to work on Tuesday too.

DL11 always makes fun of me when I clean.

That's what I'd like to do...3 day cruise! That would be it for me. If DH and I ever decide...I'll look ya up! I'd probably clean the ship otherwise...

MKY-....Can I skip the Boat and just go to Castaway Cay ?? ....Im tellin ya.....I have the weakest stomach ....ick ....when I think of 3 days ....I think of 3 days of...... Puking !!!!!

I ditched the Christmas CDs and put back in my Disney CDs. Christmas music is one of my favorite things about Christmas

Hi Everyone: No cruise for us either. Went on one for our honeymoon and DH was seasick. Not worth the risk.

MKY: So far so good, no pox. Thank goodness!

Our trip started leaking out during the break and now we may have company. SIL would be fine but not so sure about inlaws. I bet they would never want to go in August anyway.

Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday. Getting the kids ready to go back to school tomorrow. We need the routine.

couldn't do WDW with family...you're a better person than I am.

mky...no amount of rest could prepare me for tomorrow. My own kids are mad at me...I can hardly wait for the rest. I did get one panic email from a student who did nothing over break. I told her...no worries.

Tomar and I will both fly into the CC!

Ice storm was not good last night. At least it was on a weekend. The last time we had two weeks for winter break (too long too!) we had 4 snow days after that. what a nightmare that was! We had a ONE DAY WEEK!
