Tomar: I am so glad I read your message. What time are you having company that you are putting the bird in the oven at 5:00am? We are having company at 3:00pm and thought 9:00am for the turkey but I am wondering if we should start earlier.

Hi TP2-
It`s all according to how many pounds the bird is....ours is 23 pds....so I try to get it in the oven between 5 and 5:30....dinner will be at 2:30.....and.....by 12 pm the bird is cooked through and through !! If you have the meat thermometer.....use it alot at the end (and don`t forget the baisting tube) ....time may vary an hour or so.....and then take off the cover and let the bird get brown for 15 minutes ! .....It should sit out too for a while .....before you can carve it....so that`ll give you time to put other things in the oven while you wait !
If you do that and dinner is at 3....you`ll be good to go !!

Hiya everyone,

Still sick But, I am giving up and going back to work tommorrow. Guess, I can cough there all day. I need to get out of this house. The steroids are making me crazy.

I was spending $$$ online again. Called wdw, and changed our 9 nite & 7 nite to 7 nite & 9 nites. The more expensive room is the latter ressie. It showed online, but the cm kept telling me on phone, he could not switch it, "not available". I almost [in my crazy, coughing state] said: that your an idiot But, I just kept telling him. I cancelled it online and pulled it up 3 times while he told me not available. He called someone else and they could acess it. So all switched. I just did not like the idea of staying the longer period 1st. I know us, and we would be like: "only 1 week left....".
I am considering too: changing the 7 day tix to no experation, and maybe even waterpark?? The way the tix work: we will overlap 1 day [for move] and might not go to park the 1st day. But, it is looking like the princess & pirate parties might not happen. They are dropping some of the activities and changing park hours. Even thou, they keep saying the end of march will be busy. The crowds don't bother us as much as heat, so i will take that.

Sounds like everyone has there thanksgiving plans ready. I get the best and easiest plans: work 7am > 3pm and come home and eat. Think, I just regained the 20# I lost over the last couple of months. Can't control eating with steroids, + boredom.

Hope everyone has a great holiday. Last year today, we where at WDW. We went down nov 21 for 18 days. Good thing I wasn't sick last year. Maybe that is why. Got out of here before allergies took over. >>>> think I need to move.

Still sick. But, planned to work today, and they called and cancelled me. So am on call. Did some housework today, to move about and see how I am doing. Saw md too, and staying on the steroids and everything else for another week. Will see how it goes. I am already roid raging. Just can't control it. Irritable is putting it likely. I don't know why anyone would do this if they didn't have too.

Candi, You can celebrate again too. Looks like you got snow today. At least on GMA your area was covered. Your down to a month! Get out the suitcases!!

EE22, I know you have to be a good cook, with those teenagers / men . Have a great holiday. Its supposed to be warmer on thanksgiving. 40's. And by the weekend > back down.

Did you guys see Orlando had a bad cold spell last week and supposed to be nice again now. You never know till your there, this time of year. sweats, jeans, jackets, or tanks with shorts??? Hope march is not like that.

Still waiting to hear about the rest of our adr's, they are saying dec 1 but who knows. The Princess & Pirate parties are still in limbo too. They will probably be going on in august cause we won't be there. Tomar, still can't talk sis into spoodles. I had it in, and she doesn't want it. Changed in Marakessh, and espn. I won't give in on the narcoosee's thou. Even thou, I have read a couple of bad reviews lately.

I got my emails, confirming our trip and changes I made. They seem good to go. Now, am I right >> I can make the tix no expiration anytime? [before last day]?? Cause, that could be a real possiblilty.

And can you still use my dining card? DDE, or are the old cards no good as of Jan? I only got this one in august so hoping it is still good till then.

I am a little concerned being a package too. I have to pay off by middle of jan. Not a problem, but worried >>> what if something happens, no refunds or problems working that out. Or a great ap rate would be better, and comes out after, will not be able to change it. I know, we can get the insurance, but its over 100 and times 2 trips.

Last question >> Anyone in am ex's membership rewards? I have alot of points, and worried with economy > should I just cash them in and get myself gift cards, use at wdw, and pay our meals off. Or if I take the gift cards, will they be good in march? Seems like we don't know about this economy, and the points are fastly losing their value. Or will they drop the program?

Well, you can tell I am hopped up on albuterol and roids. Not to mention bored.

I heard PP were cut...not sure. Perhaps a rumor. Did you see that hours at EPCOT are only till 8 pm?

You can add expiration at any time, but remember it's based on the beginning price and can be very expensive. Be sure to look at what you have left.

DDE is good for a year...name change shouldn't matter.

Not sure what to tell you about the package. Is it 45 days out to cancel?

AMEX: I also don't know what to tell you...do you AMEX gift cards? or Disney gift cards. I had a Visa one with a year expiration. Not sure what to tell you there. They are a PAIN to use at food places. HUGE ORDEAL for me with a Visa card because the food places adds 20% which rejects the card it it goes over the total. I tried to turn the Visa card into a giftcard for the exact amount and it wouldn't do it. I had to go at least 20% under the value of the card. So, don't use them where there is a tip. World of Disney would be good!!

MKY: I had a package and even if you need to cancel at the end it was $200. I would look into it though because I know it changes based on the number of days out that you cancel. I remember comparing buying the insurance in case of cancelling a trip and it was not really worth it. I bought this time in case of trip interuption. I am more concerned about someone getting sick in our group and us losing days. This way we get reimbursed for the cost of our room and tickets for any days we miss. If I know that we can always go back with the insurance money, an illness will be a lot less painful.

I have Tomars number programmed into my speed dial. I have to cook and clean all day tomorrow. Have the girls home tomorrow so it will be interesting.

TP2, your girls will be very helpful to mom. Your right, I only ever took the trip insurance, when we cruised. Going out of the country > all kinds of problems, you never know. Don't think it makes sense otherwise. The kids thou, would also be a reason.

About Am-Ex.....we normally use this card for the car rental each year .....to get the insurance ...that we DON`T take out with the car...but with the economy as it is...and AMEX dropping credit limits .....we have rewards saved and actually just transfered them to Our One Pass Acct with Continental this week....we felt it wasn`t in our best interest to just leave them there....if you can get a gift card with the reward (not sure about that) I would do it ....we don`t know from day to day what will happen these days....
About the DDE- whatever the name is...your card is good for one year....they have to honor it .

Well work was long today, not too busy. I am exhausted thou. This just doesn't seem to be breaking.

Tomar, thank you for the info. I was concerned about the am ex points too. Don't really want anything in the catelog so just might take the cards for spending money. I would think if I charged the meals to our room keys > I could put the gift cards on the room key charge? That might be easier than trying to use them at the resturants.

EE22, Yeah! for DL11 & her brother doing so well in school.

TP2, OK, write down the turkey song. Never heard of it.

Great idea Tomar and MKY about charging to the room and using it that way. I didn't know if you understood what I meant, but it was a pain when I used it and the tip goes on and "sits" on there for up to a week and you cannot access all the funds. Royal pain!

TP2: was at Walmart tonight...they will match ANY Black Friday ad.
WOW!! Don't always trust them with their sales....thought I'd mention it.
