Great news EE22. And I heard it is headed right for us.:scared1: They said snow tommorrow. I feel your pain (in about 12 hours?)

mky:cutie:

You missed this one mky...it went up to WI. Must be another system.
The snow plow dumped 4 feet of snow in the driveway. DH was not pleased. He had the flu last week during the blizzard. Not cool. Mother Nature is not a nice lady that's all I know.

Sub zero temps this week with snow EVERY day in the forecast except Wednesday.....

EE22, good for us, and sorry for you. Didn't know about the temps dropping again. I get used to it freezing and then we get a warm day. Our picu md from nigeria on friday said "it is warm out today" it was 28. I told him he was now an official midwesterner. ;)

Howdy:cool1: still cold and snowy in the Field of Dreams but I think we might have school today.:teacher:

Do you remember when AP rates came out for June last year?

April and May were just released. I'm really not very hopeful, but have to try.:confused3

must add...
it's -9 here this morning with wind chills at -30

Hiya everyone!

Yes, so far we have been crazy here. The weather for the "ball" was pretty good. high 20's and clear. :thumbsup2 Today we went all the way to 45! :cool1: :cool1: But it rained.

The "ball" was a bit of a let down. I was expecting red carpet gowns.:rotfl: Guess we watch way to many red carpet events ala' Oscars etc... . :confused3 People looked very nice, just not that far out there. Bug did great. She got up accepted her award and made her little speech. She looked fabulous. So proud of my lil sis. :) Otherwise a so so band, some interesting speeches and dinner. Wish I could post a picture, we actually looked a little hot. :rotfl: It was really very nice. Gosh, think I need to start wearing makeup more. Forgot we clean up pretty good.:lmao:

Wore out today and not big plans for tommorrow. Will be nice to sleep in. :wizard:

mky:cutie:

MKY- Glad you had a nice time at the Ball....Did you meet Prince Charming ?
Im sure you were a very proud sister ..:cloud9:

Well, just saw an update...we have just a bit over 8 inches of snow:rolleyes:

EE22- I know you just had about enough of the frozen Tundra weather in the field of dream by now......Im thinking SPRING for ya !!!:flower3:
I think that the AP rates for the summer months usually come out in May EE....and then....keep your fingers crossed for June...you know the routine the last couple of years....June wasn`t included....ick:confused:
I hope this year will be different !:goodvibes

Well....we`re counting down to the Perfectly Princess`sprincess: visit to Gram-ma and Gram-pa`s house for Easter :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
They wil be here for Easter Week.....:cloud9:
Can you say.......Tomar needs to go ....SHOPPING !:woohoo: :woohoo:

Happy Planning guys !

Thanks Tomar. I thought it was May...like mid, wasn't it?
I also remember that late June was included for DVC resorts which is what I'm pulling for:goodvibes

EE- If I recall right ...the only DVC resorts included in the AP rates for summer are OKW and SSR.....I`m sending you some pixiedust for the wait ! pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Hi Everyone.

Just checking in and figured I would drop a short note since I have been lurking but not posting lately.

Only 15 days until we leave for Disney...and 88 days until I leave for Europe with my mom...and 143 days until our second trip this year to see The Mouse....:scared1: what I have done :scared1:

I am suffering from sticker shock from the cruise to Europe! But I remember feeling that way about our first Disney trip as a family and that faded to. My mom is really looking forward to going. :hippie:

Hope everyone is keeping healthy. Stay warm. :grouphug:

Hiya everyone,

Off today.:) Finally. Our hospital is finally having its inspection. I had the PICU all week, so I got grilled yesterday. It was not too bad. It was worse waiting all week for them to walk through our unit.

Candi you are getting sooooooooooo close!:dance3:

Hope everyone had a great week. mky:cutie:

I am under the two week mark now. This time two weeks from now, I will be checked into the hotel, finished dinner and maybe having a swim in the hotel pool. Then try to get a few hours of decent sleep before we head to the airport for a 7am flight...:dance3: :dance3:

With the rough week at work this week and it is going to be worse next week, I can't wait.

I won a tanning certificate at a fund raiser I went to. I called this week and it gives me 100 minutes. I am the whitest white girl that ever walked so I will only need 6 minutes if what everyone tells me is true. So I decided to share it with one of the girls that works for me. She went last night and was pretty pleased. That was the highlight of the week for me....shame eh?

13 days :woohoo: :dance3: :woohoo:

Candi:banana: 12 Days!:dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:
I would pre-tan too. Last time we didn't got burned up.;) Are your suitcases down yet? Where do you fly out of? Detroit?

Supposed to be 40 here tommorrow? popcorn:: Of course it was 81 in Orlando today.:lovestruc

Tomar, how many days till easter? You need a new counter.

EE22, got my new custome inserts and they are killing me. I lasted only a few hours after wearing them. I see the guy next week to adjust them. He better create a miracle.

mky:cutie:

OK! So let me start by saying that originally I was thinking of changing my end of July trip from End of Jult to August and now it's looking like I have no choice as the week I picked is the week for cheerleading camp for our high school and my daughter is going into high school next year and she signed up for cheerleading and cheerleading camp is a requirement to be on the squad! So my question to you all is if you were me what week of august would you switch to it cannot be the first week though! ????????? Please help as now my goal is to definitely try for free dining time frame! :confused3

MKY - sorry your feet are still giving you trouble...hopefully they will be able to adjust the inserts for you.

I won't start to pack until next weekend. I will get caught up on the laundry and have the kids try on the shorts and warm weather clothes. This week I will get a few things ready ahead, like the laundry soap and coffee and snacks that we bring but we won't do too much until the Tuesday before we leave.

If I let the kids pack too early they bring too much luggage with them. I hate having a lot of luggage. Instead we will do laundry one night in the middle of the vacation.

Our poor dog gets a bit upset when she sees the bags come out so I wait as long as I can for that reason too. She is not as bad as the old dog was. Jasper (that was his name) would hang his head the minute he saw the bags. We have always had a house sitter that would take care of the animals and the house so he never had to go to a kennel but he hated it when we were away.:guilty:

My suitcases don't get put very far so I don't have to dig them out. We have a storage room in the basement and they stand beside the shelves just waiting for the next trip. :dance3:

I am busy trying to resort my daily plans at the moment. I received some travel advise :cloud9: but have discovered I need to rethink a few days of my plan because of the advise given. I need to figure out which days to book golf for the guys since I can do that starting today.:cheer2:

Life is good....

Hi All.
Goofy...I cannot help as I have not gone in August before.
Have fun planning in the final moments Candi:beach: you're almost there!:laundy:
MKY, so sorry about your inserts. :crazy2: That is not good. I hope they work out for you. Don't take ones that don't work....too much money!! My foot really bothers me in the cold and it's been cold a lot:rolleyes: and I've been on my feet more too which doesn't help. I'm starting to worry about the World.
Tomar...it's not long for PP to comepixiedust: because I know we are 3 weeks from spring break and Easter is in there. I'd be fine with going to school during spring break so we didn't have so many days to make up in June, but the school will never do that.
TP2...pixiedust: pixiedust: that you are still able to go.

We are due for yet another strom Monday and Tuesday and:drive: is still not good around here. The side streets are still bumpy and it's like driving on Test Track. I hope more melts today.

Good luck with the wait Candi:hourglass

3 more weeks till the Perfectly Princess comes to Gram-ma`s !! Yaay !:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: Thank you for asking !:goodvibes

Goofy- Ive been to the world both in July and in Aug.....What I can tell you is that the first week of Aug. is a run off of July people....still crowded...The second and third weeks of Aug. the crowds will be less..as alot of states start school at that time (still very hot and humid though ) ....As far as the Free Dining offer....I can`t help in that catagory ..as Ive never gone at that time...
Good luck with the switch...pixiedust:

Candi- We have our luggage stored in the same place in our basement ! When I go down to do laundry:laundy: I wave at them :wave2: ROTFL
Happy Packing !:cheer2:

Hope everyone is having a great weekend !!:goodvibes

Hi guys ....... I'm still here ...... in case anyone was wondering :rotfl:

I had a short (work) trip to Philadelphia and then coming back with a stomach bug in the house ..... but all is back to normal now!

Candi - you are sooooo close now!!! :goodvibes I'm sure you're getting busy with :laundy: and packing and all that stuff ......... :crazy2:

Tomar --- The PP is coming for a visit!!! :cheer2: How exciting for you! I hear grandchildren are sooo much better than children. They have to be - nothing could be worse than children, right? ;) I love mine, but whew they wear me out!!! :faint: You MUST share pictures of her visit!!! :grouphug:

MKY - Sorry 'bout your insert. I hope they get that adjusted for you! I'm sure you spend a LOT of time on your feet at work, so you definitely want them comfy!! :upsidedow

EE22 - Good luck digging out of the snow! I'd be completely INSANE by now! :sad2:

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh ........ did I mention we bought more DVC points & took advantage of the incentive? :joker:

....... and, I need to figure out how to get more than 1 ticker in my siggie again! :confused3

(ok-going back to work now)

THAT'S IT!!!
Snow Insanity...and I can buy more points too:rotfl:
congrats Mouseaddicts!!

We are home again...bad weather coming or so they say and they have been right alllllllllll winter long:rolleyes:

We made the 2nd half of our DVC July ressies this weekend! :thumbsup2 We're staying 7/6/08 - 7/10/08 in a 1BR SV at AKV ... then we switch to a 1BR at BWV with a Boardwalk View from 7/10/08-7/13/08!!! :cool1: We are wayyy excited about the Boardwalk view. We've stayed @ BWV before, but in a studio when it was just us (no kids). We stayed @ BWI in July '06 with the kids & they loved it!!!

The only reason we're staying on points the 2nd 1/2 of the trip is b/c we got the Developer's Points Incentive with our recent add-on. ......... otherwise, we wouldn't be using points on a weekend!!! :scared:

We're currently planning:
Spring Break @ HHI
Mem Day Wknd @ Pop
July 4th @ AKV/BWV (and probably Poly too!)
Labor Day Wknd @ TBD (???)
New Year's Week @ SSR
.......... and we'd LIKE to go in April for our 5 yr anniversary - just a quick wknd for the 2 of us - no kids!

Well, now that I made a list of the 2008 trips, I'm tired already! :rotfl: But like MKY pointed out, we don't have a plane ride or 20 hrs in the car to get in our way! :goodvibes

mouseaddicts - congrats on the add on to your DVC :dance3:

Did you buy into AKV? Once I saw the resort would have a savanna I could not sign up fast enough. We bought into the first offering which was a bit cheaper but no incentive at that time.

Do you own a lot of pionts now?

9 Days until our trip now and I fixed up the last of my ADR changes today. We are eating really early at Coral Reef but I was wanting to change my days around and had to pick something. So I think our days are pretty well planned out now except the last day...leaving that open for discussion.

I talked to our friends from Denver that are meeting us there....really talked, not just email....I can hardly wait.

I have a pixie dust request. They are talking about letting me bring one staff member back (we had to let two people go). So I need some pixie dust that they will give me the go ahead tomorrow and that the person I want to bring back is still available.

Talk to you soon.....
