Hiya everyone!

Mouseaddicts! You are too crazy. I can hardly plan 2 trips at a time, and you have so many. You are too lucky.:thumbsup2 But we don't overlap.:confused3 You will have to add an august. Congrat's on the extra points.:woohoo:

Goofy22, Guess we are the resident august crew.;) If you can get the free dining and that is important to you, go for it. But the last 2 years have been extrememly busy with the free dining plans. I am going earlier in august, this year cause of longer hours and no free dining. Used to be the last 2 weeks where nice and slow, but not in the last couple of years.

EE22, I feel your pain. Today the news said our govenor was going to ask the federal government to declare 6 northern illinois counties disaster areas due to snow. Everytime, we have a melt the next day it snows again. Are we getting close to spring yet?

Tomar, Easter is coming!princess: Are you princess prepared yet?

Candi, single digits yet? :laundy: Get busy.:) Hope things worked out at work.

TP2, Are you thinking about august? Hope the girls are fine.:wizard:

Hope everyone has a great week, Happy Planning, MKY:cutie:

Candi - no, we did not purchase at AKV ..... we debated when they made the original announcement, but ultimately decided we were better off adding to SSR simply due to the fact that the 11 mo. booking window only applies to the pts you own at that resort ........ unless we had enough to make another entire purchase for a week's worth of pts at AKV, it didn't make sense to split our ownership interest!

Do we own a LOT of points? :confused3 I dunno ...... I guess that depends on your definition. Our original purchase was 180 pts. We just added 120 to give us a total of 300. I've run scenarios & we can go 3 - 4 times per year with that amount. :thumbsup2

MKY - With all the planning, I'm not sure if we're coming or going!!! :rotfl: Maybe I should just leave the bags packed & load 'em up every time we get ready to leave the house!!! :cutie:

So ...... MKY ...... are you enticed by the news of the "Kingdom Tower Villas"??? DH & I are really discussing a small add-on there ...... but hopefully the points won't go on sale for a while to give us time to save up!!! (maybe if we skipped a trip or two ........ nah!) :rolleyes1

mouseaddicts, Hmmmmmmm, Kingdom magic towers? Haven't read anything about this? Nor can I find anything now? I am guessing at CR? DVC? That would be very enticing. But probably can't afford it. See I have a bad disney habit, that is tooooooooo expensive. :confused3 Wonder if it is going to be outrageously priced? When is it supposed to open? Hoping it is after we go down in august. Will not be as crowded then. But we would get to see it?

I was interested to read about passholders, on room only getting free dining? Still not sure if it will all work out thou. We will see.

mky:cutie:

I was on the dvc board last night and it looks like the Kingdom Towers Resort at the Contemporary is Scheduled to open sometime in the Fall of 2009! When we were there in April it was all torn down and it was just dirt! So it will be interesting to see I'll check it out when I go in August!:thumbsup2 Rumor over there also is that Disney probably wont start selling them until SSR is sold out! Which makes sense or they would offer a bonus to buy into ssr! and no bonus for KTR! I heard the points were suppose to be appr$110 a point possibly $120 a point when KTR goes up for sale!

Girlfriend ....... where have you been!?!?! :confused3 The Orlando Sentinel reported the article yesterday. It's the buzz all over the boards - and other Disney/DVC member sites! :goodvibes

Here's a link to a lengthy thread about it:

http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1735325 (includes link to the online newspaper article)

I just finished all 16 pages! :surfweb: My eyes are crossed .......

DH & I have been discussing this as a possibility for a while now. We debated on whether or not to add on pts @ SSR or wait & gamble for CRV / "Kingdom Towers" points. We ultimately decided an add-on at SSR was our best financial bet for now .... If/when they make Contemporary pts available, we may review the pts chart & make a smaller purchase there for use every 2-3 yrs with the bank/borrow methodolgy. :thumbsup2

OK! So let me start by saying that originally I was thinking of changing my end of July trip from End of Jult to August and now it's looking like I have no choice as the week I picked is the week for cheerleading camp for our high school and my daughter is going into high school next year and she signed up for cheerleading and cheerleading camp is a requirement to be on the squad! So my question to you all is if you were me what week of august would you switch to it cannot be the first week though! ????????? Please help as now my goal is to definitely try for free dining time frame! :confused3

Go as late in August as you possibly can, even September if you want free dining. In 2005, while planning our first family trip, the CM I spoke with kept urging me to change my trip to a later date in the summer. I was originally booked to arrive July 5. I changed our arrival to July 12. I didn't really understand what she was talking about but then free dining came out that year to start on August 21. She was the best CM I have ever dealt with and that was during my first call to CRO. Never have I spoken with someone that had so much excitement and knowledge of the World.

Hi Everyone:

Candi: you leave in a few days now. You must be so excited. Happy packing.

MKY: DD9 has the inserts and complains about something almost everyday. Yesterday she went to the nurse. I hate that she needs them but her shins were collapsing? I think that is what the Dr. said. Her knee was bending in and her foot was turning in also. All because her arches collapsed. Not good.

EE22: I would be out of my mind by now. 3 days in the house and I go crazy. I think buying more points will help.

Tomar: You must be so excited for the princess. Almost here!

We are still thinking about August. Everything is in place. Bridal shower is March 16, my gift is purchased and the roof is done. DH is sick of spending money (and so am I) but I think it is looking good. He almost bought a week at OKW over Easter break from Craigslist. I talked him out of it (can you believe that). I said, how can you really trust it? They were willing to take $500 for a 1 bedroom. It would cost over $2000 to buy the points to something sounds fishy. But he did it on his own so I would say he should be up for going in August. Thanks for the pixie dust. I think it is working.

Mouseaddicts: So jealous about all your trips. I bet you don't have so many health issues when there for a couple of days at a time either. For us, it is so far just to get there we stay to make it worth it. It would be so wonderful to be able to drive and take shorter trips. Kingdom Towers so very exciting. I would love to stay there.

Hi Guys !:goodvibes
WEll...Shopped yesterday for "Disney" Luggage :cloud9:WE needed a back up for some of our older peices:upsidedow ...and of course... for the Perfectly Princess princess: !!! Bought some cute cute rompers to put in her ....Easter Baskets !! (notice I said baskets with an s ;) LOL).....
WE`ll be starting our countdown to the Princess on Saturday the 1st.....YIPEE !!!!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Heard all about the "KTR" (Kingdom Tower Resort) at the CR ....and was very happy to hear that as DVC members we might have an option for a beautiful MK View someday ....but.....Mr. Tomar and I are very happy with our little corner of Saratoga Springs for now  ....and it seems that he won`t be trading a stay at the towers in the near future......UNLESS ?.....MABE ?....the princess comes with us !!!!!!!!!! :goodvibes ...in any case the tower won`t be ready until late fall of `09 , and we`re happy for the people that were looking forward for the announcement ....it finally happened !:woohoo: .....

Mouseaddicts- Congrats on your Add -on at SSR !!! :goodvibes
We would like to do one someday there... as we love the 11 month ressie option too

TP2- Glad that all the "Shower" arrangements are done...and also the roof !!:wizard:

Hiya everyone!

TGIF (almost;) ). Is it march yet? I even like the name. Kingdom towers. Glad they didn't pick the usual "contempary resort villas" It just sounds so magic kingdom.:thumbsup2

TP2, Good news about August. pixiedust: pixiedust: Glad the roof is done. Wow, thought you would of had to wait for warmer weather, so I was surprised. Your shower is soon too. The girls must be so excited. Now no crying. Is this your baby sister's? Are they doing a disneymoon? Your poor daughter, arch problems already? Now, that sounds familiar. So so sorry. This is bad enough, but to start out at her age. Hope her supports help.pixiedust: (for her too).

Tomar, yes still tweaking. This is gonna take sometime. :scared1: Your baby outfits sound so cute.

Mouseaddict's I am sooooooo far behind. I really only read this thread and quickly scan stuff about every week to 2 weeks. You are really an inspiration as to us moving south. Hopefully sooner than later. Oh well, one day.

EE22, Hope your sending nice weather this weekend. Right now its 22 and still frozen outside.:sad2:

Candi is it march yet?:dance3:

:welcome: MissMichelle. 2 cheers for august.:dance3: Happy planning.:woohoo:

Have a great weekend all. mky:cutie:

Hi All...I'm alive...I think;)
Buried at work, buried at home...
nothing new here...more snow and bad weather...4 more inches last night.

However, my shorts that I ordered from Old Navy came:cool1: It gave me hope! Hopefully I can get caught up this weekend, but who knows!!!

DD and DS's first outdoor track meet is March 28th...I'm not sure the snow will melt by then?????

Tomar: You seem so excited for the princess. My mom overshops for the girls too but when she buys one thing she loves she makes herself find 2 more things whether she loves them or not to make things fair. She has the grandma bug too! I am so happy you are going to see her soon.

Mky: Yes, I also feel sorry for DD9. DH has flat feet on his side of the family but it seems that her problems went a step further. My sister is a dancer so arches are not a problem on my side. I do feel sorry for her though. She has been taking Tylenol more than I like.

I think a move would be perfect for you. Are you looking to retire first? Maybe look to transfer.

So I ordered the cake yesterday. Chocolate fondant icing with chocolate cake and raspberry filling. Can you tell I like chocolate??:rolleyes1 I think I am more excited for the cake than any other part of the party.

Oh...She will be 32 on her big day so I will not be crying. Other than, it's about time!

TP2- Yes !! Im sooo excited to have my princess with us for Easter:cool1: ...if you remember she couldn`t come up to New Jersey for Christmas cause she was sick...so it`s been a while since she`s been to Gram-ma`s house :cloud9:
Im so sorry that your DD has trouble with her feet too....It`s best that your taking care of it now too...before she grows up and wants to wear shoes that may do more harm !!:scared:
About DSis:angel: ....The cake sounds.....YUMMY !!!:cloud9: ;)
Hope the Shower is.....Fabulous !!!!:tinker:

EE22- I pray that all the snow melts in the field of Dreams for DS and DD`s track meet in March....pixiedust: pixiedust:

Tomar: My parents would have a heart attack if they had to wait that long. I think it is worse being grandparents. They miss those kids so much. Good thing Easter is so early this year.

Thanks for the shower wishes. Things should go well. I just need about 40 more people to RSVP.

MKY: Yeah, it stinks that DD9 needs the inserts. She has also been getting migranes. Poor kid. She woke up last night screaming with a headache and then she vomitted. She has the state math exam today and tomorrow. I think she is stressed out over them.

So who will be the first to buy into Kingdom Towers? I would love too, but not this year. Maybe if we win lotto!

EE22: Just think, at least the snow has melted enough that you can get to work. It has to be better to be busy than to be stuck at home for so long. This is a sign that the summer is coming. It is finally March!:goodvibes

TP2- I know how your parents feel:angel: .....Having Grandchildren is a whole new world :cloud9:
Believe me ....we were getting alittle crazy when the Perfectly Princess was sooo sick over Christmas and couldn`t come up to NJ :sad1: ....my only consolation was that I talked to her EVERY day..:cloud9:
I DO wish that they lived closer to us....but then....I probably would want her to be at Gram-ma`s every MOMENT !! ;)
I can`t wait to have her at our house over Easter and ...Yes Im grateful that it is early this year....
Good Luck with the RSVP`S.....:goodvibes
And.....I hope you win the Lotto to buy into the Kingdom Towers !!! ;)

Hi everyone.

Have been really busy lately and not able to check in.

I can't wait - only a few more days left.

I booked golf while I was at work on Saturday and that was the last thing I had to take care of.

So much to do now and so little time. Plus I have to get everything done at work in the next few days.....:scared1:

But I really miss the Mouse and can't wait to catch up with our friends that are meeting us there. :grouphug:

Tomar - I hope the visit with the princess goes wonderfully and she enjoys every hug and kiss you have to give her while she is there.

Got to go...:dance3:

Okay - I need a lot of pixie dust to be sent our way. Our DD9 has come down with something. She has a fever of 103 and a sore throat and a bit of a cough. She is pretty congested as well but not a lot of sneezing or anything like that. No body aches. My first thought is step throat.

We'll take her to the doctors in the morning but if she does not get better, she won't be able to fly:scared1:

So MKY - what do you see going around that has this sort of symptoms? If it is viral, we may not be able to take her with us. If it is an infection and they give her an antibiotic, she might be okay by the time we leave. We fly out Saturday morning.

So send me lots of pixie dust PLEASE :scared:
