If DD's birthday hits (5/22) I will have been on this thread for 3 months watching. WOW!! can't remember how long on the other thread when 6/3 was realeased.

We are having DQ ice cream cake...you all should come by. She'll be 13 and I'll then be living with two teenagers! SEND HELP!

Have a FAST Monday! :cloud9:

My DD has her 13th birthday 5/24, I will also have 2 teenagers, except I feel I have already had 2 for quite some time. But I also have a 7yo to add to the clan. When we go to disney we are also taking 2 of the kids friends so there will be me,DH,DS15,DD13,DS7,friend16,and friend15 driving from Ohio. Ok I am really going to need help!!!!!!26 more days till disney, and still no codes!!!!!!!!

Oh you must have missed the thread where I said my kids said they would miss the GF and posters went nuts thinking I had such spoiled kids that they would prefer the GF over the Poly. So we did indeed change again!

I think tomorrow will be the day - because I have to be over to our grammar school early for Teacher Appreciation Day. Do you think they'll notice if I have my cell phone permanently attached to my ear trying to get through for AP rates?

OK I guess I wouldn't make a great detective then because I missed that whole thing(I would have jumped in to defend your kids and you :cheer2: ) I hope that tomorrow is the day but early enough that you know it before you leave for Teacher Appreciation Day. lol

I don`t know if this will affect US (waiting for a code) in any way, this year :confused3 , but has anyone checked out the thread about the new "SUMMER" season, for `07, on this board????

I just wanted to again thank all you folks for checking every morning to see if new codes came out. I really want to thank the poster that mentioned that even WITHOUT any codes she was going to save $180 with the DDE card and her AP......
Guess what I'll be doing today, lol...crunching numbers and figuring out if that woule be true for us as well. Group of 11, going for 10 days, booked 3 rooms...maybe just for the DDE savings it would be worth it.

3 rooms at AMSo most likely AREN'T going to have AP rates available over July 4th holiday.

We do have AAA rates, so I should be glad I booked standard rooms for that time with AAA rates.

I was really hoping for a special promo from WDW like free dining, kids free, 2 for 1 or something like that....doesn't look like that is gonna happen either, lol!

But then again....you never know right???
They did bring back free dining again after everyone swore Disney would NEVER do that again.

Anyway...thanks for keeping this thread alive..I really appreciate it!

It's now beginning to make sense why June was broken out of the "spring" code releases. June has always been released with the April/May AP release. This is a first, but it would appear that despite the fact the majority of June is actually "spring", Disney is going to decide it's really "summer". :confused3

I can say that it doesn't please me that Disney has created a new category, but it sure doesn't surprise me. I never quite understood why June/July were deemed "regular" season when, in fact, they are two very busy months. Thankfully, we only have two more years of high school and then we will be "free" to book at times other than summer--although I truly do love going in the HOT HOT weather!

And I'll be saving just shy of $1000 with our DDE card. 8 people, 10 days with all TS restaurants. It's a no brainer for us. Not to mention the discounts on tours, boating, etc.

Tess,- I honestly enjoy the hot weather too (not too hot), but, I love the parks being open real late (we usually start our park day around 4 pm), and stay at the pool most of the morning :sunny: Our boys are adults now, and we have had the option of going (whenever), for a long while now. DH would rather go in the winter though.
Anyway, I`m seeing that there is a change here, and wondering if it will affect "this summer`s codes"?

monday 9:41 cst > just called "nothing yet"

Just in case of a delayed code release. ;)

Got the grand gathering line: (by mistake) these people are all soooooo nice. I have to get a major group togther and do a GG yet. ;) It must be the grand floridian of the cro office? :)

Ok I know a grand gathering is 8 or more people (that is my family lol). But what are the benefits? Are there discounts for this grand gathering? Could someone let me know?! Thanks!!!!!!!!!!

I'm still cheering for you all and your codes!!!!

No real benefits that I have found other than you call a different phone number for reservations. You can book certain dinners and shows that are different for smaller groups but of course everything for a price. The one I liked was $60 per head, a bit out of our price range after paying for park tickets. If you call they will tell you all about them. The phone number for grand gatherings is 407 939 7526. I have not seen any discounts associated with it if that is what you are wondering.

There is no discounts. It is more of a service to coordinate a trip with multiple families.

I just called the AP line to see if there was any word that discounts would NOT be released. I explained that I would cancel my current reservation and reschedule for August during the dining promotion. She apologized and said that they have absolutely NO information. All they know is the current discount that ends June 3.

The CM I spoke to this morning said she heard they would not be out until after Memorial Day!!! :confused3

I was thinking that was a possibility because of the Free Dining expiring on June 3rd. It drives me crazy that they try to make the "faithful" jump through hoops to spend our money there!!

The "season" changes may be due to the Florida school schedule. For reasons that I won't go into, FLorida kids now get out of school before Memorial Day. '07 is supposed to go back to at least the first week in June, but maybe they didn't know that when they made their decision.
I am a Florida resident, so I am not familiar with a lot of the abbreviations you'll are using. Since we get discounts for liiving here, I've never explored any of the packages. Are there any for Florida residents?

Here's some info on the different FL resident deals and they usually offer discounts on rooms throughout the year as well. Being a AAA member will get you more savings and being an AP holder (Annual Pass) will get you even more...usually...it's just not happening yet for the summer which is why we all have been posting on this thread!!! :confused3 :sad2:

We had a Grand Gathering last October for 20 people in 8 rooms. One benefit we got was a diferent dining number to call. I am not sure if it helped, but we had no trouble making reservations at all of the restaurants we wanted at all of the times we wanted for various members of our group ranging from 14 to 20 people.

Also, the room assignment person called me about 3-4 days before we were due to arrive and made sure we got 8 rooms in a row, on the top floor in the Jazz building, exactly as we requested.

That would be me, the anal retentive, pencil pushing math teacher :cheer2:

I forgot about the 15% off our tour too that DD And I are taking.
DH and DS will get 10% off at Rainforest Cafe too...I think unless I read it wrong. I'm not 100% sure if he will have an ap or not yet though. Waiting on Dec air fare.

well, I called a little while ago,( 6:45 pm), about another issue, and asked about AP rates after 6/3. nice cm didn`t think that they weren`t coming out, she said she just didn`t know when
same ol, same ol :rolleyes1
