June/July/August 2006 Code watch

If disney opened a cm (cro) / department up here near chicago I would take that job just to be able to "know" the code dates. ;)

No, I have never heard about an email thing. After calling for years they just say let me check but not sure what they are checking?

Well I will try to get off early to run home and get back on. Or try to call from work but that is very hard. No internet at work. :guilty:

:grouphug: Hang in there! :grouphug:

I also called and NOTHING. We chatted for a minute and I said how do you know if you don't check the computer this early. He said that they get e-mails with the information and he did not get the e-mail ths morning. Is that new? I thought that they saw the discount when they plugged it into the computer. :confused3
I don't know how true this is because you hear so many different stories from so many different CMs, but one CM I spoke with last week said they get an email the day before advising them of the codes :confused3 .

The website won't let me in - not even under the Florida Residents section. What do you think that means? (probably just not working like I heard another poster say!) Well, I can hope.

I have a theory that EVERY single employee of Disney is trained on an individual basis and given completely different instructions and procedures.

:rotfl2: Seems that way.

NO INTERNET AT WORK :scared1: I was flipping out this morning because my computer had a hard time booting up. :badpc: Try to have a good day, I know I feel major stress at this point when I am away for more than 2 or 3 hours.

Maybe that is what he was talking about. I will say that it DOES seem that they all have different training. The whole thing is just crazy.

dsnylover,
My family will be there almost the same dates. July 15-22 at the Poly. :cool1:

Fellow Disney Fans, :wizard:
I feel very confident the AP rates will be here before or on May 5th( May 1st I feel). Not much longer you guys..Don't freak out and think the worst yet. Especially if your months of travel are July through the end of summer because according to Mousesavers historical data ----

2004- the AP codes came out May 5th
2005- AP codes came out May 4th

Those were for travel dates of 7/5/04- 8/28/04

I still have high hopes for you June Disney goers too!
(Just to show you how close they cut it before Ap are given) If this helps:

2004- Ap codes came out 8/5/04 for travel 8/29/04 - 9/29/04
thats only 24 days before the trip, if of course your were going to be there on 8/29 --so my point--anything can happen--

and I think it will--so there!! pirate:
yall have a great night, see you bright and early

Logpey

Wow - code released in 2004 only 24 days before the date of the discount? That is close. I will keep having hope for June then!

I know, I can't get up in the morning to exercise before my husband leaves for work but I can get up to check CODES!!! :rotfl:

Disney must know they are producing all this stress, therefore we all need a Disney vacation. My DH says he would really like to have a real vacation instead of a Disney vacation sometime. Sorry, not this year!

I know it's early but...

After all the talk about codes not being released until weeks or days before the beginning date, I'm wondering if I should cancel my "safe" ressies (split stay at POR:RS and AKL at the AAA rate) and go ahead and book the out-of-our-range re$$ies at either AAA rate (if they're available) or rack rate just so we have a room to apply the code to?

:cheer2:
This will not increase your chances of a discount. There are X rooms at each hotel/view with the discount. So even if you have an AP and a room at your "out of range" when you call if there are NOT AP rates avaiable for your dates at your hotel then you won't get a discount. And you will have given up your affordable room..... Book what you can afford and not what you "hope to afford"

OK - other 2006 months have a watch - lets start the summer :sunny: watch
Current AP rates out till June 3rd.

Guess of April 2006 for June/July/August AP rates
We'll have to wait and see :coffee:

We will be at the Polynesian June 24th till July 2nd
Looking for some great WDW AP rates pixiedust:

Quick question from a new premium AP holder, sorry if its been asked before.
I was thinking about surprising the family with a quick trip to WDW in late August or September. I know some times that AP holders get really good discounts off of rack rates but from reading this dis for the last few days, it sounds like they only offer a limited amount of rooms at the discounted rate? Do I have this correctly?

Is it the type of thing where I should call and make reservations the nano second the discounts are posted? sorta like ressies at CRT?

Should I join the crowd and check daily?

Thanks for all the help from the "professionals"

Patiently waiting....ok not so patiently anymore.... but still waiting. I just want to know one way or the other at this point. We are staying where we are resort wise but I would like to know if I will have a little extra $$ for some treats!(like new shoes for mommy ;) )

It will increase your chances of getting the room you really want. The AP may be available for your date but the room may not be available to book.

That being said realize if you give up the rooms you can afford/willing to pay for without the discount you are taking a chance.

I think the only thing it will do is assure you of a rackrate room. Disney looks at the resorts and sees who needs more rooms booked. If you book at say, AKL, and so do others like you, then Disney will think AKL is doing well and won't assign the AP rooms you might want. You are therefore lessening your chances of an AP rate for your room. You should always book the room you are willing to pay rackrate for. I book the Poly twice a year and go whether I get a discount or not. Being at the Poly is THAT important. I can afford rackrate and most of the time pay it. Who ever is booking up rooms they cannot afford in the first place are really their own downfall. Who ever does this is only hurting themselves. Book what you are willing to pay rackrate for!

I've got a question.

I plan on waiting for AP codes through the end of next week and then just buying parkhoppers if they don't come out. We just feel more comfortable having tickets in hand before the trip and I want to make sure we get them in time.

Now, if AP rates for June come out after that, can I call and get the AP rate, check in without the AP, head over to one of the parks and upgrade one of our parkhoppers to an AP? Is that allowed and doable?

:lmao: I've made my DH obsessed with codes...it's bad when your DH (who loves Disney as much as I do) but has never been involved with the planning or "code thing" has gotten up at 5:00 a.m. everydayand turned on the computer first thing to check the boards. I've just about given up hope for June codes :sad2: I just wish they would announce they are not having codes, just so everyone would know. It's the not knowing that's killing me
