June/July/August 2006 Code watch

just called and spoke with cm Leisha. She told me that yes they will book anyone a room with an Ap rate even if you tell them you dont yet have one. You just have to buy one and activate it before you check in. By the way she was very nice, so maybe the man this am was grouchy because he was getting a call at 7am for codes questions. Also I do not call the AP #. I call the grand gathering # since we are a grand gathering.I dont want to pretend Im something Im not. Sorry I have had a really bad day. :guilty:

Just wondering....who else thinks that maybe the BRP wasnt all that bad after all ?????????

we'd be booked already.

I liked the best rate program.......It worked......It was easy to book rooms, It kept people from booking rooms that they had no intention of keeping and yes, Disney did automatically reduce my rate.

Hi:
I, and my family have a trip planned for June 29 - July 8. We have gone to Disney World the past two years during this time and it was incredible. Never get tired of DisneyWorld. My question is, does anyone know if postcard pins have been release for this time? I know the AP rates aren't out yet for this time period but last year my two sisters in law received a postcard and it saved us a ton of dough. Just curious to see if they went out and I didn't get one. Any info would be appreciated.

On the subject of renting points - I don't understand why people say they are such a great deal. Right now, I have two rooms at WL Woods View for 8 nights AAA rate for a total of $4400. A 2 BR Villa at WL for the same dates is 425 points. If I can get a reservation, and if I can pay $10/point, this will cost me $4250. That's not a big difference to switch to transaction which also carries all the risk of a private transaction between two individuals. I feel much more comfortable sending $4000+ to Disney than to someone I never met. Also, if the AP rates come through, it will be cheaper than points.

It actually seems like kind of a good deal to me. For the same price (maybe a little more if you get an AP discount) you get about 800 more square feet, a kitchen, a whole third room, don't have to mess with adjoining rooms to have everyone be together, etc.

I agree about the leap of faith. The first time you rent a timeshare it's a little frightening. But I've rented timeshares several times, including DVC, and never had a problem. Just get the confirmation in hand with your name on it before you send any significant amount of money.

went to check the passholder site and can't log in again. begining to think its a 5am thing and not a sign that a code is near. i'm ready to scream. bought airfare on southwest a month and a half ago and have been patiently waiting. now that i'm less than 60days out i'm starting to get really really nervious that nothing is comming.

I finally got onto the AP site, and nothing new yet. Still hopeful. Maybe after Eater???

I keeping checking here everyday with hopeful wishes. We are planning a trip July 2-7 and I would love a discount. I am trying to remember what the discount was last year. We went in June and I got the code from this site. I know we saved about $500 on the total of 2 rooms w/dining. Does anyone remember what the code was for? Also, I have tried to find my paper work as to when I called and applied the code. I do remember it was close to my 45 day window.

I'm starting to worry about missing out on what I'm after altogther...should I go ahead and simply book the rooms I need for early June and then apply an AP to it later...or should I hold off...my worry is I'm going to miss out - my other worry is that they'll have another rack booking giving them reason not to release an AP code........

I think the time to consider going off-property is rapidly approaching.....

Personally I would book what you want now. The "AP logic" only goes so far. Things are booking up, travel is up and there is NO gurantee they will have AP codes for your date.

7/5/05-8/27/05 Annual Passholder room-only rates release date - 5/4/05, exp 8/27/05 :) I got this from Mousesavers...

Is WDW skipping us June people for AP rates  ? June 4 to July 4th ?????

I hope not
