to say I am dissapointed is an understatement .... I miss the days of old when the Magic Kingdom was open until 10:00 pm during the week and midnight on the weekends :(

The times WILL change!;) I went last year in June and the Web site showed NO late hours...when I arrived, Friday, MK was open till 12 Midnight! Sometimes you cannot go by the web site times...;)

Oh my gosh, I hope they do change. We will be there from 11-22 and the dates that they close are ridculous. We always go in June and they hours say for MK....are usually 10:00 and they are showing 7:00, 8:00. AAh, I hope that isn't true.

I agree, but glad to see the other post for E-nights. We'll be in WDW the 24th and 27th of June

I HOPE they change, but they already e-nights listed at 7-10 p.m. That is so early that we won't even have to sleep in the next day!

I hope the hours are longer as well...we will be there from June 27 thru July 4th.

I actually wouldnt mind the shorter hours if there are not a lot of people in the parks....quality time vs quantity...

but...my greatest fear is there will be wall-to-wall people and not enough time on the clock....hope it does really change..

Please Please everyone hope the hours increase this is my fiance's first trip to wdw and I had our first night all planed out.
Ferry to MK, dinner 5:05 at Cindy's, then watch fireworks, then the kiss goodnight.
As the hours stand now we will have to jet to epcot and watch the show there. Still will be great but not as specail as I had planned.
We will be at WDW June 8-13

One of the other reasons having the park open later is because of the heat. My girls are 10 and 7 so luckily they can deal with the heat better than when they were toddlers. I wanted to head back to MK around 5:00. And I made Chef Mickey's for 5:00 figuring we'll head over to MK after that - at least that night I got lucky and they're open later. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D Just venting....

Take my word for it--THEY WILL BE OPEN LATER-Unless something like 9/11 happens again, or a SARS breakout, they will be open till at least 11:00pm!;) I have gone MANY MANY times WITH the schedule IN my Hand, and found the web site schedule was NO good! Please, everyone take a DEEP breath and have a DISNEY DAY!!!;)

These hours are absolute BS as is the wait to find out what June hours were going to be. Universal has had their hours posted for months. Disney should've had the June hours out months ago. That warning "hours subject to change" should be understood to mean only in cases of national disaster or natural catastrophe and not an ace in the hole if the gate doesn't pan out the way Disney management would like it to. Especially when you've already taken people's money for reservations.

Yes, the hours will most likely change, but frankly, what kind of moronic management would even think to put those hours out to the public. Puhleeeze, this is just a total lack of respect for the paying public and another example of the Disney management taking for granted the public's good will towards Disney. Eventually, when you're given less and less for your dollar, the good will runs out.

I'm an AP holder, but frankly I'm tired of paying more and more for less service and more aggravation.

Sorry for the rant, but to paraphrase the ad for Universal , the pixie dust just isn't doing it for me today.

GLAD to find the Web site hours were OFF! I think they post the hours on the web site, as a GUIDE, nothing more. They know HOW many people are in the park each day, and whether to keep the park OPEN!:o Also, the weekends are VERY crowded anyway, due to the locals showing up. I have been there when they made announcements after 12 Noon that the park will be open Later, when the sign out front said a different time....they have NEVER changed the times to close Earlier than Normal.:o Now--Can we ALL have a DISNEY DAY!?? ;)

Hopefully they will change. The water park hours did. For a while there they were listed as each water park being closed 2-3 days a week, now they are both open every day.

>GLAD to find the Web site hours were OFF! I think they post the hours on the web site, as a GUIDE, nothing more. <

As a guide to what? I don't wish to be argumentative, but if I can't trust the information I'm given, how am I supposed to use that information as a guide to planning?

>They know HOW many people are in the park each day, and whether to keep the park OPEN!<

If they know, why do they seem to constantly change the hours on such short notice? As if to add insult to injury, on Friday 6/20 the park is scheduled to close at 7, but there is an E-night scheduled from 7-10 for an extra fee of course.

Last year, I was at WDW on 6/19 and the park was open until 10 with an E-night from 10-1.

Calll me suspicious, but it looks like Disney management has found another cash cow. Close early and then charge extra for more hours.

No, this is just plain bad, arrogant management.

>Now--Can we ALL have a DISNEY DAY!?? <

I'd love to have a Disney day, but unfortunately Disney management is either clueless as to how to provide one or arrogant enough to think they no longer have to.

And if anyone is interested in why I just don't cancel the June trip, I have a 9 year old who is really looking forward to it. 'Nuff said.

To bad your 9 year old has to go WITH you.;) 'Nuff said.

I, for one, am going to trust Poohbear123 and believe him and his info.

<< I'd love to have a Disney day, but unfortunately Disney management is either clueless as to how to provide one or arrogant enough to think they no longer have to. >>

I don't think that Disney management is as bad as some of you people are making it look like. The hours WILL change...at least they most likely will. E-Ride dates are likely to change as well.

<< Calll me suspicious, but it looks like Disney management has found another cash cow. Close early and then charge extra for more hours. >>

Another false accusation. Please cut it out.

By the way Poohbear123, how do you know this stuff? How do you know that the hours will change?

I am a WOMAN...and I KNOW ALL!!! Also, I was just trying to let people know not to PUT too much TRUST in the Website, but of course, there is always a Smart A** in the wood pile that likes to rile things UP! I Know. because I would GO BY the WEBSITE and found the Park hours NOT to be any near what I had frome the Web site!:o I visit WDW at least 4 times a year, at different times and thats how I know also!;)

>To bad your 9 year old has to go WITH you. 'Nuff said.<

This is uncalled for and Btw, have a Disney Day!

Well....are we having fun yet?

This was a great informational post. Not an invitation to debate the pros and cons of Disney's business decisions.

Arguing on this planning board is not allowed, nor is it tolerated. The information has been given. A simple "thank you" would have sufficed. I don't think I noticed anyone saying thank you, so allow me.

Thank you, Dagny, for this information. I'm sure a lot of people are feeling disappointed but it is good information to have.

I'm locking this thread, now. What began as a helpful trip planning tool, is no longer helpful for those planning a trip. It isn't even pleasant to read.

If you would like to continue this discussion please post something in correct debate format and post it HERE
