I've had similar problems in the past. I seem to get tendonitis very easily. (I even got it in my wrists from playing too many video games -- that's Nintendonitis!) Like you, I can't take NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, such as aspirin) because they hurt my stomach.I am at 100/1000 but I don't think I am going to be able to complete the challenge.
I was diagnosis as having tendinist in my left ankle and a trip to DW in 10 weeks![]()
The swelling needs to come down and I can't take any very heavy duty anti-inflamatories because of my stomach....
In my case, the problems didn't go away until I identified and removed the cause of the injury to my tendons. Most recently, I realized I was getting tendonitis in my left leg from straining to reach the clutch pedal on my car (I drive a stick-shift.) A clutch-pedal extender helped, as did driving less. About two decades ago, I got severe tendonitis in my feet; the problem that time seemed to be walking in shoes without enough arch support. I also had some tendonitis in my hips from sitting in a chair that didn't let my feet reach the ground; a footstool helped. When my sister first had a baby, she developed tendonitis from lifting him; the only thing that made it go away was trading in her stick-shift car for an automatic, so she wasn't wrestling with the shift lever all the time.
A physical therapist might be able to help you figure out where the injury is coming from, so you can eliminate the cause. A physical therapist should also be able to design exercises that don't re-injure the damaged tendon. Do you have insurance that will cover physical therapy? If not, a doctor who does sports medicine might help.
Hope you're all better soon!
