Have a great day everyone!

Can y'all believe it, June is past the halfway mark! And it looks as if a bunch of us is past that, too. Great work, everyone!!!!!

It was such a beautiful day today, I walked 10.2 miles to see if I could do it...I did. :faint: It kicked my butt, I think I neep a nap now. :goodvibes

170 for today, 735/1600 total.

You go, girl! :banana::banana:

This morning, I walked 8 miles, which is what I've done once a week for the past three weeks. It was really warm, even at 6:15 am! And this has been the first day that I've actually had enough energy to do anything besides take a nap - progress!

I'm out of town today, but got up at 4:45 this morning to go to my Werq class at 5:15. Hopefully I can stay awake during my drive home tonight. I'm not used to getting up quite that early!! :rotfl: My new total is 1080/1680.

Whoa - 4:45 - that is some serious commitment!

45 minutes of taekwondo last night
37 minutes of running this morning

794/1500 - past the half way point!

Ted

A purple CONGRATULATIONS to you, Ted!

woooohoooo I a purple :woohoo: ok have another 60 minutes of walking to add to my total, bringing me to 540/900

Woo hoo!

I tried Zumba but it hurt my knee. Maybe I was doing it wrong.:confused3 It looks so fun (even though it kicks your butt) so I was eager to try it. I ended up giving the DVD set to my daughter. Glad it works for you.:thumbsup2

I started working out at the gym only 3 days a week, giving myself a day of rest in between and I'm glad to say that I have been experiencing less pain and actually sleeping better. I still try to walk with my DH in the evenings when he gets home. Doesn't always happen.:rolleyes1

Today I did 35 min wt mach and 50 min cardio
710/1200

I started out walking 3 days/week and running 3 days/week. Due to the heat, I have changed to longer walks [5 miles/2 days per week; 8 miles/1 day per week] then weightlifting the rest of the days. That's been working out well for me -- my pace is improving and I'm not as sore. The heat doesn't bother me as much either. Those rest days are helping me, too.

There is a lot of twisting so I see how it could hurt your knee. Our instructor had duct tape to put on the bottom of our shoes to help slide on the carpet but I didn't think it helped. I just pick my feet up rather than try to slide. Funny thing is I have DVDs that I have had for years and looked at once or twice when I first got them but I signed up for the class just as a change of pace and love it. I am thinking of joining the gym where it is held so I can go more than once a week.

50 minutes for me today. C25K. After much debate I decided to do walking intervals with the longer runs and it is working much better for me. I am able to further with adding in the walking. Today I did 4 minute run/1 minute walk. Over time I will try to increase the run intervals. Right now I just need to worry about the 5K next week then I get to focus on the 8K in September!

795/1600

I had to do the same thing with the C25K - running for 5 minutes just wasn't going to happen! Intervals worked much better - although I couldn't decide if I was walking more quickly than I was running.

32 minutes of running this morning
30 minutes of taekwondo at my Black Belt test - I PASSED! Woo Hoo, I'm a Black Belt in Songahm Taekwondo!

884/1500 - past the half way point!

Ted

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! That is quite an accomplishment!!!!! :cool1::cool1:

great job, debbieandroo! Your 8 mile walks are awesome! I know how hard it is to not only carve out time for them but to actually do them!

I swam for 60 minutes and ran for 30 today.
New total: 930/1600

Adding another reluctant walk of 30 minutes bringing my total to 645/900 for the month. My body is fighting me on this, my right knee is aching and lower back tight. Doesn't it understand that this is supposed to be helping it???

I know June is over half-way over but I really need to get my walking in and need some accountability.

I'd like to get 600 minutes of walking in before the end of the month. :goodvibes

Good luck to everyone trying to get their activity in :cool1:

Ran and walked 45 minutes yesterday and did a steep hike! I got 135 minutes more but I forgot what my previous total was... Oops!

I walked 5 miles Saturday while DH ran a half marathon. I was going to sit in the park and read my Kindle, but it was such a pretty day, so I started walking up the race route and at 2.5 miles turned around and walked back. I ended up feeling pretty satisfied that I never sat down while he raced. With all the walking before and after the race and while he ran, it was 100 minutes.

Saturday afternoon, we went to a concert that was from 4:30 - 10:45 with some short breaks between performers. Between walking 1/2 mile to and from our car and dancing the entire time any of the performers was singing, I am calling it 200 minutes of dancing and walking.

This morning, I had my personal training session with Killer Kyle and was a drenched sweatball 5 minutes in. LOL! Very satisfying 45 minutes working out with him, and also 45 minutes elliptical.

Sat - 300 minutes
Mon - 90 minutes

New total: 1700/2000

Every planned trip to the gym gets thwarted by something. But on Friday, I did time with the Wii - Just Dance. And when I was done, it said "You just walked across Central Park and back"!"
So, adding 35 minutes to my total.

Now I am at 285/1000 for the month.

1147/1700

Got a run in Saturday morning before we left town. Then Sunday DH and I took the dog for a walk while the kiddos played with grandparents. Have gotten 4.25 miles walked this morning. Maybe I'll get a run in late tonight after DS2's baseball game!
