I'm in!!
1000 minutes for the month please.

Our first challenger - congratulations!!!
I'm in again. I'll sign up for 1600 minutes.

Yay, great to see you again!
May I participate here as well? I am setting a goal of 900 minutes. That works out to 30 minutes minimum a day

I should be able to manage that. Work days will be a real challenge, will need lots of
This thread is open to all, newbies and veterans alike. Your goal sounds very doable - one thing I've enjoyed is learning all sorts of great ways to put exercise into my daily routine, like walking that 60+ pound boxer a couple of miles at night.
I'm in again but let's up it to 1400 this month. Good luck everone!
You go, girl!
We're doing a step challenge at work so I'm going to do that (I'm glad you do percentages as the gauge)
12,000 steps a day * 30 days = 360,000 steps for the month, so that's my goal!
I'm glad I have a fitbit to help track all these numbers - it'd be hard to track without it!
I'm impressed, that is a big goal. I've been wearing a pedometer and am continually surprised at my number of steps each day. It'll be fun to see your progress.
I have never done a challenge on here, but I am recovering from foot surgery and after a month of doing absolutely nothing, I am determined to shed some weight. I am going to shoot for 1000 minutes. Wish me luck!
Good luck! You've come to the right place - this is truly an inspiring group of challengers who combat so many setbacks to get to their goals. Even if your foot doesn't let you do the entire 1000, at least you've started and that's HUGE!
I'm definitely in again! I'm going to aim for 1400 again.

So glad you're back!
OK... I totally failed last month. But I just realized I really need to start training for this half marathon I'm aiming to do in Sept. So, put me down for 1000. Who knows... maybe I'll exceed it?
Ugh... I feel sluggish... can't wait to get back to working out and having energy again!
Now, in my book, failure does not mean 'sign up for a half marathon three months from now.' Good for you for doing that - I can't wait to hear about all of your training progress this June. I have a feeling that you'll blow past those 1000 minutes pretty quickly.
And isn't it cool to know that exercise is such a great remedy for that sluggishness? I used to just eat chocolate to get rid of that feeling - now, I go walking....then I eat the chocolate.
I have two days of Special Olympics events this month where I will be on my feet for hours and hours, carrying food, serving, running back and forth for supplies. I should be able to hit 2000 minutes this month if I do all my regular workouts too. So, please put me down for 2000.
Thank you, Debbie, for hosting!
That's so neat that you're a part of the Special Olympics. And I read on another thread that you're training for the
Disneyland half this September - how fun will that be! Hope your knee behaves itself this summer.
Yay! This was so helpful last month.
Okay, in May I started with 600 and had to up to 800. June will feature a lot of traveling - to Disney!! and a few other places, as well as school starting again. So I think I'm going to revert to 750 - challenge myself to keep up with the pace I have set, but realizing I may not make it.
Additionally, if anyone has any tips for staying on target while on vacation, I'd appreciate it. At WDW I'm planning on bringing some hand weights for every other day, but there's no good opportunity for cardio, unless I count the walking around in the park. I think I will.
I definitely think you should count walking in the parks - I sure did! Especially putting that heat and humidity into the mix - maybe that should count double!

I hope you have a wonderful time.
Thanks for hosting this month, debbieandroo!
Cam - super huge thanks for all of your work the last couple of months! You have been very inspiring.
Cam has left HUGE shoes to fill!
Hello!! Please put me down in June for 1000 minutes. I did so well in May until the last two weeks

But it worked so well pushing myself!! Now this month I'll be going thru a move at the end, but that just means I'll be doing lots of vigorous cleaning!! Good luck to all.
Thanks,
Lynda
That's another thing I like about these challenges is that they start over at the beginning of every month, kinda like starting a new journal. And I think vigorous cleaning definitely counts as exercise. Congratulations for wanting to get back to it.
