June Exercise Challenge - 54 Challengers and 40,537 minutes completed!!!

I think I forgot to check in the last few days. I am at 150/1000. Knee still hurts, so all I have been doing is dog walks, and I actually cut down on the length the last 2 days to see if that helps speed the recovery along. It has been so nice here I just want to be outside! :headache:

Something nasty hit me over the weekend and I spend the whole thing in bed. Awful chills and aching muscles. I'm feeling better today finally but have no energy haha. I eased myself back into working out with 30 minutes on the treadmill.

I'm not logging any minutes today but I did a college tour with DS in Cincinnati and the hills/steps were quite the workout! I honestly couldn't do one more step by the end of the day. :faint:

C25K failed run tonight. My dog gave out. But I still walked a lot and got 4.67 on my pedometer. 160/850.
 
My goal is to have a very tired pup, who sleeps through the night and doesn't wake up his mommy for play time at 3 am. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

All that walking is thanks to my goal of participating in the Princess Half Marathon next year. I'd like to test the waters by walking in a local half this October, which is why I'm working on these long distances now. I'll see how well I can survive our super hot and humid summers - this is quite a departure for me in the activity department. I usually hibernate between May and September.

i've been planning the Princess Half in 2013 for a while now (Completed the 5K in 2012), and as of two weeks ago its up in the air. :confused3 May still be able to work it out, but that was supposed to be our family trip (school vacation) & my son is going on a school trip instead. Need to decide if we move the trip or DD & I go without him.

Got in 8 mins abs & 8 mins (out of a 20 min video) tai chi yesterday. :sad2:

Got in 16 mins of core & sculpt today.

16/900 so far.

My math was totally off in my first post. :rotfl:

6/3 - 65 min walk along the coast (sidewalk & sand)
6/4 - 17 sculpt
6/5 - 25 + 8 min morning walk & stretch

60 minutes today. I signed up for a Strength and Sculpt class. It was very difficult for me in places. I was going to go do cardio in our fitness center but I could not find my pass card. I am sooooo glad I didn't!

Good morning! I did 30 minutes on the treadmill this morning at 4:45 am, showered and now lounging in bed until the last possible second I have to ge up to finish getting ready to go to work!!!

Forgot to post last night...I did an hour on the elliptical and an hour WERQ class bringing my total to 420/1680. Does anyone else have a WERQ class at their gym? It's like Zumba but it is all Top 20 songs (hip hop, pop). It's my favorite class right now!

While I have not done well the past two months - I am not giving up!!
Still going to aim for 1000 minutes this month.
I have not been to the gym in awhile, but did some major walking this past weekend.
Friday, June 1 - Walking around the Wildlife Sanctuary - 30 minutes
Saturday, June 2 - Walking the Dunes at Lake Michigan - 30 minutes
Monday, June 4 - Airport walking - why do they always put me at the last gate at the furthest terminal? - 30 minutes

So, I am at 90/1000 so far this month!

Finally have a day at home! China cabinet here I come. You can be sure I will count those minutes emptying it, moving it and scrubbing the wall--then later counting those minutes painting!

Have gotten some walks in since the last post and been to my stretching class at the Y.

120/1000 2 recent 20 minute sessions on the elliptical

Not sure when I will get in more this week as it's crazy. May try for some more elliptical tonight since not going to soccer practice. The rest of the week is kind of crazy with soccer, play and working. I'm a massage therapist and we have a groupon that started today so people are booking their massages so I will probably be working extra the next few weeks! We've sold over 30 so far. Not the best timing for the deal as my boss and I are both going away her for 6 days and me for 12. I'm the only massage therapist so hopefully most people will wait until I get back.

Yippy!! Made it to the 25% today!!! Last night had a 20 min jog, today had a 30 min power walk and 30 min Jillian DVD.
