Dose anyone know what the June deals/incentives are for new members joining DVC? Any comments appreciated. Thanks

If you buy at Saratoga Springs, they will give you $8 per point (starting at 150), if you want your 2006 points. If you are willing to forgo your 2006 points, they will give you $13 per point. However, the starting price per point is now $101.

I was told that this offer would end on May 31'st. Does anyone know if it is still good during the month of June? Thanks

i also think they are going to start charging closing cost in July .So it's not a savings for June but an increase for July you could avoid

I quoted you directly from the paper that was sent to me - along with that nicely bound purple book with glossy pages - from DVC themselves. It arrived on May 31st and is good through the month of June, according to my customer service guy. I was going to buy into Saratoga Springs, due to the incentives, and several long conversations with my customer service guy, but have decided to buy into BWV instead.

So, I'm confident that the special is good for June, but you could always call them and ask directly...

My guide told me that they were going to sell until May 31, 2006, December use year, and starting June 1st was going to be February use year.

Yes. That is what I was told too.

How are you able to buy into BWV? Are you doing resale or are you able to buy through DVC directly somehow? Thanks

If you call Disney many and express your interest many times they will give you a 30 day extension on the current incentives. Just ask. :thumbsup2

If you tell your DVC customer service person that you'd rather buy into one of the sold-out resorts, like BWV, they will check to see if they have any current stock (in the way of buy-backs). If they have it, they will sell it to you right then, if not, you can go on a waitlist, and they will sell it to you when it becomes available.

Are the closing costs in July for all points, or just points added on after June? I am just wondering because I am on the waitlist for an add on at the BCV. Since I got on the wait list in April if I don't get my points until after July will I have to pay closing costs? About how much are these?

I don't really know it's just something that was on another thread and a friend of mine told me when he was talking to his guide that they were looking at it with the July 1 increase.

I would just call your guide they should be able to tell you and give you a heads up.

Good luck with that BCV I would love to do an add-on there someday.

We signed our papers in May and are still waiting to close. We have no closing costs and our CM never mentioned that they would start charging. Also, for those wanting to buy into a sold-out resort, keep in mind that it's for the 36 years. The SSR offers 48 years (plus they gave us the 240 pts from 2005) We couldn't give up those free points. We opted for the SSR route because we look at it as how much we would spend on 12 years of vacation (ALOT of $$$$) so that's how we made our decision on which way to go. I may not be around in 48 years but my kids and their kids and hopefully their kids can use it.

I was told by my guide closing costs were for new members only (and only for 1st 150 points).

Add-ons would not be subject to closing costs.

Just spoke to someone in Credit. I was told Disney will never charge closing costs to Members for add on's.

Our guide told us as long as you initiate the purchase before 07/10/2006, there are no closing costs. So even if you close after that, as long as you signed before that date, you are good to go, which is why they probably never even brought it up. :teeth:

My friend and her DH just bought this morning and I went with them. She paid $101 per point for 200 points and got a February use year. The only incentive she got was they "gave" her $1200 towards their down payment.

I am so thrilled I got in back in February under the Friends and Family discount!!! I got the same # of points but paid almost $4k less, plus we got 2005's points with no dues. ;)

It would be a much bigger pill to swallow knowing the incentives were so much better just a few months back.

They should have given her $1600 towards her down payment. The current incentive is $8 per point, so the incentive starts at $1200 since that is what $8 x 150 points (minimum buy-in) is. For 200 points she should be getting $1600. She should call her salesperson tomorrow and make sure that she is credited all the money she is due.

We just signed on through our Disney Cruise. I just fedex'd the papers this am. I wonder if I call them re: the annual passes if they would send them? Was this an incentive given just in the parks? Having those passes would be SWEET!!

LOVETHATMOUSE - The annual passes are an incentive to existing members who purchase add-on points. I don't believe that they are offering tickets to new buyers? :confused3
