june crowds

Help Help! We have always gone in off season. This year it is going to be second week of June. Yech. Will it be worth it or are the long lines going to keep us from a good time?

If you're used to going in off season, the 2nd week of June will probably seem very crowded(and probably hot) to you. Don't think that you won't have a good time though....we've been the second week in June many times(we'll be there the 5th-20th this june) and have always had a great time....disney world really, really starts getting crowded about the third week in June as by that time most everyone is out of school....If you are staying on site, take advantage of EMH...you can really get alot done in that hour believe it or not...also, not matter where you stay, take full advantage of Fasspasses...they will increase you're enjoyment level by decreasing your aggravation and wait times.....take advantage of EMH and FP and remember to take a break in the afternoons if time allows and I'm sure you'll have a great time....You'll be at Disney!!!!

Thanks, using both is in the plan. I plan to use the get up early, do some stuff, mid afternoon swim and nap, hit the parks until closing philosophy. I need a disney fix!

We have gone in early June for 12 years now. If you have a plan the crowds are certainly manageable. As the other person responed you start seeing an increase in the crowds the end the 2nd week and it really picks up during the third week.

Do you think the third week in June is as busy as July & August? How do the crowds compare to holiday periods? This will be our first summer trip and I'm a little nervous.
