I don't know if this can be posted here, I posted the other day about picking a week in May or September. I'm having a really big problem with trying to pick a week this time arouund. My only problem now is I'm a little worried about pulling our oldest out of school for a week in september as he will be in 4th. He has struggled with reading but that's about it. DH and I started discussing June trips and I was just wondering if anyone had any crowd pictures or advice. We have gone mostly in August and once in May. So crowds have normally been about a 6 by easywdw calanders. Thanks in advance for all your help.

Myself, grade 4, I still wouldn't hesitate to pull him out of school for a week.
From the time school is out in mid-June, it'll be 7 & 8s. The week leading up to July 4th will be 8 & 9s. Then the rest of July and early August it'll be 7 & 8s.

We've gone in June in 2011 and 2014, planning on going again this June. I stopped taking the girls out of school in 5th grade. (Mainly because DD17 didn't want to miss in 7th & 8th. Now she's in HS and she would probably be happy to take a week off for WDW!)

It's fairly crowded, and hot, but I guess if you've been going in August, you've done the heat. We try to go as early in June as the school calendar will allow, hoping some kids will still be in school the first two weeks of June. Yes there are some crowds and lines but we managed them alright. I think we had more of an issue with the heat. We did rope drop every day, FP late morning to early afternoon, pool in the late afternoon if needed, return to park as desired in the evening.

I hear September is a great time to go as far as crowds, but it can be kind of hard to miss at the beginning of school, when you don't know ahead of time how the year is going to go.

We've been in June three times. The crowds and temps were a lot different between the first week of June and the second. It's hot and crowded the second week but if you schedule things and follow a touring plan and crowd calendar you can do it. We took lots of swim breaks during the afternoon and always made rope drop.

We can no longer go during the school year as I have a college student! We went the first week of June 2015 and are planning the first week of June 2017. Yes, it was a bit crowded but we managed it very easily with a touring plan. 2015 was the first time I ever used one I created with an app and I was hooked! It was so accurate! Plan, plan, plan....that is my advice for handling the crowds! It was hotter than I prefer, my favorite time to go is October. But we dealt with it ok and used cooling towels.

Thanks everyone, I bit the bullet and booked for the last week in September. I figure it will be the last trip to do this with both kids. But with our middle DS having autism I just want it to be as smooth of a trip as possible. My mom is a teacher and told me to not worry about it she teaches third grade but has also taught fifth grade. I also know the DS is a very quick learner and will pick it back up in no time. So obviously June 2017 or August 2017 will be our first Summer in Disney!!!

We did mid/late June last year and it wasn't too bad at all! We used FP+, rope drop and EMH strategically and I think the longest wait we had was about 20 minutes?
