Hello All,

Well, I'm just out of my mind excited!!!

My mother in law is taking us all (5 children, 8 adults) to Disney World for a week in June. I'm just blown away by her generosity.

Anyway, my wife and I have only ever gone in the Spring (Feb.-March). So, as thrilled and greatfull as we all are, I'm feeling I just a little bit nervous for the heat and especially the crowds.

Anyone who has been in June care to comment? I'll do better if I know what I'm in for. :)

Thank you so much,
Cathryn~

You are in for a WONDERFUL time .

It will be a bit crowded as many other lovers of the world want to be there with just you.

It will be hot but don't worry about that because the daily rain shower will give you the chance to cool off.

I will be there the last week of June going into July and can't wait.

All kidding aside we do early morning in the parks get alot done .Then take a break at either the waterparks or Resort for a rest then hit the parks at night.

I've never not gotten all things done that I wanted to do.Use Fastpass to your advantage and find some nice spots for the Parades that you can get a rest and a bite to eat while waiting.

We were there last June 3-11, don't know when you are going...but the crowds weren't bad and it did rain every day we were there. Really seemed to cool things down. Just bring a rain poncho in your backpack or whatever you are planning on carrying. Also check accuweather.com. They seemed to have the best forcast up to 15 days out. If it said 40% rain, it rained. Here in Texas 40% means maybe but probably not! :rotfl:
I would also look into sites like tourguidemike or the unofficial guide advice on parks to avoid and times to attend events. I am a planning nut and this really helped us out with having minimal waits for rides and shows.

Hope this helps and HAVE FUN!! :sunny:

We always go the very last of May into the first of June. (we're actually leaving one week from today!!!!)

It is hot and last year we found it extremely crowded. If you are at the parks at opening, it's not too bad. You can manage to stay ahead of the crowds for a while. By midday into early afternoon, it gets pretty crowded.

The heat just makes it worse. We're usually down there for two weeks and we've had trips where we only had very light showers maybe every other day or so and we've had times where it didn't rain at all (only once or twice over a 2 week period). Last year it rained everyday. A couple of days we had a few hours of torrential downpours. It does help thin the crowds out a little bit, but it doesn't really cool off unless it rains pretty late in the afternoon/ evening.

If it rains and the sun pops back out...it's just like a sauna.

Fastpasses are a good idea as are ADR's. Last year it would have been near impossible for us to have a decent sit down dinner without them.

It will be fairly crowded, but hit the parks early as others have already said and you'll be fine. Mid day breaks and back at night is the best way to go in my book. No matter what you'll have fun, you'll be in Disney!:sunny:
