We go June 5 for a week. For those of you who have gone during the first 2 weeks in June can you give me an idea of the average time in line for rides/attractions. I recognize the hot ticket items will have longer lines.

We were at Universal/Disneyland last year in June and the lines were about 30-40 minutes average. Hot ticket rides were an hour or longer.

We did not know about fast passes in Disneyland so I am kind of looking forward to having that option anf trying to figure out how to use it to save waiting in lines.

We always go the first of June. There are always crowds that time of year. Sometimes, they are quite manageable. At other times, they have been an absolute nightmare.

Overall, we have been 7 times in June. We have seen everything from waits of no longer than 30 minutes for anything during the week to an entire week where Fastpass didn't even work (all of them were gone by noon) and waits at most attractions were at least an hour.

Even though we know that...we still planned our upcoming trip for June!! It's just the time that works out for us best. We'll just hope for the best and prepare for the worst!!!!

We have been to WDW three times in June. The earlier in the month you go the better it is. From around the 20th on the crowds get really large.
The best advice I can give is to get to every park before opening (EMH or not). You can get a lot done in a few hours before the big crowds arrive later in the morning. We have used this strategy successfully at all the parks. Last June we were able to see Mickey's Philharmagic in the MK with about six other people early in the morning.
It's also great to get FP right away for the popular attractions. We always do this in Epcot for Test Track. We get FP immediately and then get on the stand-by line, which moves pretty quickly when the ride first opens. As soon as we get off it is time (or close to it) for our FastPasses so we get right on again. We also used the single-rider line on TT last year at my DS suggestion. It was a great move as there were very few people on the single riders line and we ended up sitting in the same car the two times we did this.
Sometimes though they do not open up the single rider lines until later on.

I keep trying to convince myself it's not going to be that bad. How about the water parks? How crazy are they?

You are scaring me with "From around the 20th on the crowds get really large." We are going to be there from the 19th to the 26th!! :crazy2:

Tell me it is going to be alright!! Wouldn't the July 4th week be the time when crowds got crazy?

I can tell you that my DS and I were at WDW from June 15-23 last year. In the past we have gone earlier in June but I wasn't sure when he was getting out of school and didn't want to take a chance so we went a little later.
Up until around the 20th the parks were crowded, but not terribly so. With early arrivals and Fast Passes we had no problems riding everything we wanted, and more than a few times for our favorites. All of a sudden around the 20th or 21st every park was jammed. We tried park hopping but gained nothing as each park was really crowded. Fortunately for us we had already done everything, and then some. So we just sort of coasted the rest of the way. We were still able to do things early in the morning but the daytime and evening crowds were insane.
I hope you have a better experience during your trip.

ps.....from our experience last June you can forget about the evening EMH. More crowded that during the day. The morning EMH were great.

I said, "Tell me everything will be alright!!!!!!". I guess we will really have to focus on the mornings!

You should look into the UG's Touring Plans. They may not be something you want to do as I know many people don't like to be tied to something like that, but it's worth looking at.

I understand the "fear" about June. We went last April 2005 but my DS was in preschool. He is in PRE-K this year and I wanted to go the last week of May(end of school) but my DH can't get off work. So we are looking into 6/6-6/11. My DH is interested in SW weekends. Also from now on it will have to be in June because of school. :coffee: Need all the info about June I can absorbed in my mind

This year will be our 5th visit during early June. We have found that with a little planning the crowds can be very manageable. We usually don't get a FP for anything that has a wait time of 30 minutes or less. We ALWAYS have to use FP for the more popular attractions. We typically stake out a spot for Spectro and Wishes 1.5-2 hours in advance. Getting to the parks early is definitely a good plan. We have had an early breakfast at CP and then headed straight to Fantasyland and rode everything we wanted to with little to no wait. I have to agree about the evening EMH--we tried one at MK last year and it was nuts :scared: I have read on here that if you can make it past the first hour or two then the crowds thin out considerably.
Same advice on the waterparks --- get there early; they tend to get more crowded as the day goes on.
I promise, it really won't be that bad; if it was, we wouldn't keep coming back. We will be there 6/4-15 -- keep an eye out for us

Hi! We are going from June 23-30. Try tourguidemike, he gives some really good advice. I think we'll be okay.
