June comes before August & the APs will still be valid! I think we're done here!

How fun to be packing!!!:woohoo::woohoo:

Do you ever consider not packing one person's clothes all in one bag but having some of everyone's in each bag? That way if you loose a bag you all still have clothes.

No, because we have the carry-ons. DS has 7 complete outfits just in his carry-on, I have maybe 6 in mine. Plus a swimsuit, sandals, socks, pajamas, etc. So if a bag disappeared it wouldn't be good, but we would be fine for a few days while they looked for it.

I need to go to Target one more time before we leave. In general we are in good shape. :thumbsup2

Silly me for not thinking of that.

I can't take that much with my crew.

In case anyone is curious, you can not get any sort of cash for cell phones that are 6 years old. :rolleyes1 In fact, the websites I looked at don't list our models at all! Not even for "free recycling"! :rotfl2:

I do have one phone that was worth $5, but that's the phone DS dropped on the concrete last summer and a big chunk broke off of it. I am not even going to attempt to get money for it. Looks like I will be donating my old cell phones. Which is fine. But it would have been cool if they were worth something.

Last week I got this BIG itchy red splotch on my shoulder. I think it is a spider bite. It isn't quite as bad as it was, but it isn't good. If I touch it, I make it itch 10 times worse. Hopefully it will go away.

DS is making me crazy with his hair. He wants that Disney Channel boy hair that is brushed forward, but his hair is totally the wrong texture for that. So his hair has been sticking straight out the sides of his head for the past 2 weeks. He looks like he is sprouting airplane wings. Or shelves. The drama teacher at school is calling him her "eaglet". He absolutely REFUSES to comb it down. It looks beyond ridiculous. I forced him to let me comb it Saturday - it looked FINE! He said it was plastered to his head and looked horrible. Um, NO, it looked completely NORMAL! Tomorrow he is going to the salon. His appointment was originally scheduled for next week, but this is an emergency. Hopefully they will cut it short enough that he won't be able to stick out the sides anymore.

I am kind of stressed out. Not because of the spider bite or the hair. I have a work issue I need to take care of and it kept me up all night. I have a feeling the next 11 days are not going to pass very quickly. :sad2:

HUGS...lots and lots of hugs.

In 11 days none if it will matter....you will be eating dinner at WDW and seeing gobs of DISers!!!! You will have a great time.

Sorry about the work issues. I hate issues when ti comes to work. I am too much of a 'good' person, so often I let issues fester then I explode...on the wrong people!

As for your spider bite.....PLEASE, PLEASE PLEASE call the dr to have it checked. I am talking as a nurse...please! The last thing you want to do is have to take antibiotics on vacation....let alone cancel or postpone a trip because it got out of hand. See the dr now, they can make sure it is just a spider bite and order antibiotics now so you will be done with them by vacation time.

Thanks, Star. I am REALLY looking forward to the trip.
The work thing is exactly like that. I was caught off guard and agreed to something without thinking it through, and now I regret it. Now I have to say something, diplomatically.

I will keep an eye on the bite. If it isn't improving by midweek I will call the Dr. I have an antibiotic prescription in my purse that I never filled, so I can always fill it. ;) I was on doxycycline for my eye the ENTIRE trip last year and it was not fun. That one causes sun sensitivity, I was covered in a rash, blah blah blah...:headache:

I nearly died laughing about your son's hair. My twelve year old son is obsessed with his hair. It has to be combed forward and the front needs to curl up a little. It is driving me crazy! This weekend we came to an agreement that he would get it cut as soon as school is out. The back is too full of his thick, wavy hair to look right but he can't see that! Who knew boys would care so much about their hair?!

Glad to hear the work issue is resolving. Hang in there!

The hair thing is maddening, isn't it? :headache: He spends HOURS in front of the mirror. He pines for hair like DH had back in his middle school pics. (It is worthy to note that DH is bald now!) I think some girl must have told him his hair looks cool like this, or he THINKS some girl likes his hair like this, or something. Who knows?

TEN DAYS until departure!
SEVEN school days until departure! :yay:
SEVEN working days until departure! :woohoo:

YAY FOR 10 DAYS!!! YOU'RE ALMOST SINGLE BABY!!! Digits, digits people!!! :rotfl:

I too am DYING over the sprouting shelves comment!!! You really have a way with words!!

It really is not an attractive look. I can't grasp why he thinks it looks good like that! :rotfl2:

I am off to the mall shortly to shop for swimsuits with my charges. Luckily shopping for swimsuits for a 4 year old and an 8 month old isn't painful like shopping for adult swimsuits.

I wonder what else we will run across while we are there? :rolleyes1 You would think the fact that we are already packed would stop me from shopping for more stuff, wouldn't you?

Princessallegra, our trips will be here before you know it!!

9 days 'til departure! :cool1: SINGLE DIGITS!!!
6 school days 'til departure!
6 working days 'til departure! :yay:

DS's hair looks very nice. But he is still determined to make it stick out on the sides. :headache: I had been home maybe 10 minutes last night when I noticed there was a chunk of hair protruding from one side. I went over to him and smushed it back down. I am having my hair done Saturday, so if he keeps sticking the sides out I will threaten to take him back and have it cut even shorter. :rolleyes1

He started going to my stylist in January because the place he had been going doesn't take appointments. We would end up sitting there for 30 minutes (or longer) and it was luck of the draw for stylists.

I phoned our pet sitter to confirm but she hasn't called me back. I am not worried, because that is kind of how she rolls. If I haven't heard from her by NEXT Wednesday I will worry.

I got an e-mail yesterday that the new parade & fireworks are going to debut on Saturday 6/5 at MK. I guess that's fine, but I was thinking we would get to see the "old" stuff one more time. No big deal. And Passholders get FREE viewing glasses to enhance the experience! How can you beat THAT? ;)

9 DAYS FOR YOU!!! I just got a vision of you sneaking into your DS's room with scissors and taking the matter into your own hands as he sleeps. :rotfl:

I gotta be honest and say I'm just a leeetttle bit sad that we won't have Wishes for our 1 year anniversary dinner at Cali Grill. But that's about it!! I am so not one of those people that it will upset them and scar them for life lol. I actually think DH is more the type to be really upset by this!!!!:rotfl:

I'm very intrigued by the viewing glasses!! I may just be stupid but I've never seen viewing glasses for fireworks! I wonder what they do, or what kind of effects could be enhanced by that?

I'm not sure what the glasses are supposed to do. :confused3 We have these cardboard glasses for Christmas lights that make little designs around the lights. Snowflakes, bells, that sort of thing. They are pretty cool. So the firework glasses might be like that.

It is kind of sad that your anniversary fireworks won't be Wishes. :guilty:

Don't be sad it'll make me sad!! I'm trying to be the ever positive one :confused3 I mean, let's be real tho, for any card carrying Disneyphile, missing Wishes (for the summer) on your 1 year wedding anniversary, by a hair is pretty bad!!!!!! :rotfl:I read that it's rumored Wishes won't be back after August...I don't know how much substance there is to that. Wishes hasn't been around all THAT long, what was it 2004 it started?

According to a blog I read about a similar offer, they were the same kind of glasses but had Mickey heads!

We almost never bother to watch the fireworks "properly". So we catch bits and pieces as we walk through the park, or we stake out a spot and it turns out to have a HORRIBLE view. We did do the Dessert Party one day last year, and that was nice. We wouldn't do it again though, because it wasn't $25 per person good! We did sit and watch Spectro on Main St. one night, but we decided not to keep sitting there for Wishes. I guess we should make an effort to do parades and fireworks once per trip in case they change it!

All the discussion of food on princessallegra's thread made me want to list the places we have ADRs. I probably already listed them somewhere, but here's a refresher:

Breakfast:
Crystal Palace, Boma

Lunch:
The Palace

Dinner:
Tokyo Dining, Wolfgang Puck Cafe, Yachtsman Steakhouse, Flying Fish (twice), Citrico's, Yak & Yeti, The Wave, bluezoo.

Tokyo Dining, The Wave, and bluezoo are new for us. The others are repeats.

We may have another dinner. I can't remember.

At US/IOA we'll be having lunch at Mythos (IOA) and breakfast at The Kitchen in the Hard Rock Hotel. :)
