June comes before August & the APs will still be valid! I think we're done here!

My travel agent phoned today to tell me we can attend the Harry Potter preview from 8 AM - 9 AM during our onsite stay at Universal. She isn't sure if the Harry Potter area will remain open past 9 AM on those days or not. She said the memo was worded kind of funny.

Hmm. We WERE going to go to IOA on Wednesday, but getting to the park by 8 AM may be REALLY tight. We might have to save Harry for Thursday. Which means we will need to bump our breakfast to 7 AM instead of 7:30 AM. I suppose I could try to move the Town Car pick-up earlier on Wednesday AM, but most likely I will leave it alone. We can always rush out to Harry Potter land Thursday AM and come back to the room before check-out time if we have to.

MONTHS ago I signed up for this "All Access" rewards card thing through Hard Rock. I finally gave up on it ever actually arriving. It showed up in the mail today. The benefits are very murky. :rotfl2: There is a PAID membership, but I didn't think we needed to PAY for it, so we went with the free one. Which could be why I can't really sort out what GOOD this card will be at the hotel! I will bring it and show it to them at check-in. Perhaps they will give me some sort of a bauble or coupon or something. :rolleyes1

Hi, Elin! :)

Since there are just the 3 of us we fit comfortably in a studio. The biggest problem is what to with all of the throw pillows and sofa cushions once we have the sofa pulled out for DS.

We always book a value studio as well and what to do with the pillows and comforter is always my biggest problem!

I'm a little late getting here but I am IN!:goodvibes

Welcome! :)

So I went back and found the thread I started on the Universal Hotels forum about the All Access card thing. The thread is FOUR months old! It took them SIXTEEN WEEKS to mail this card to me! Backlog, anyone? It appears that my card has $5 credit that may be redeemed at the retail shop inside the hotel. OK. DS will take a $5 merchandise credit, I am sure! It doesn't sound like the card is good for anything beyond that. Eh, I will still present it at check in and act like I think it is worth something. :rotfl2:

9 days 'til departure! :cool1: SINGLE DIGITS!!!
6 school days 'til departure!
6 working days 'til departure! :yay:

DS's hair looks very nice. But he is still determined to make it stick out on the sides. :headache: I had been home maybe 10 minutes last night when I noticed there was a chunk of hair protruding from one side. I went over to him and smushed it back down. I am having my hair done Saturday, so if he keeps sticking the sides out I will threaten to take him back and have it cut even shorter. :rolleyes1

He started going to my stylist in January because the place he had been going doesn't take appointments. We would end up sitting there for 30 minutes (or longer) and it was luck of the draw for stylists.

I phoned our pet sitter to confirm but she hasn't called me back. I am not worried, because that is kind of how she rolls. If I haven't heard from her by NEXT Wednesday I will worry.

I got an e-mail yesterday that the new parade & fireworks are going to debut on Saturday 6/5 at MK. I guess that's fine, but I was thinking we would get to see the "old" stuff one more time. No big deal. And Passholders get FREE viewing glasses to enhance the experience! How can you beat THAT? ;)

:woohoo:YAY for single digits!!!:woohoo:

Those glasses sound fun!

How's the hair tonight? It this a good smilie? :scared1::laughing:

All the discussion of food on princessallegra's thread made me want to list the places we have ADRs. I probably already listed them somewhere, but here's a refresher:

Breakfast:
Crystal Palace, Boma

Lunch:
The Palace

Dinner:
Tokyo Dining, Wolfgang Puck Cafe, Yachtsman Steakhouse, Flying Fish (twice), Citrico's, Yak & Yeti, The Wave, bluezoo.

Tokyo Dining, The Wave, and bluezoo are new for us. The others are repeats.

We may have another dinner. I can't remember.

At US/IOA we'll be having lunch at Mythos (IOA) and breakfast at The Kitchen in the Hard Rock Hotel. :)

Ok YUMMM for Tokyo Dining!! That place looks AWESOME! I loved Podsnel's Dismom's report with Tokyo Dining so much that I actually made an ADR for our secret trip in November! (I have a surprise trip booked for DH's birthday in November!). SO cool that you're eating there! Can't wait to hear all about it. We love Japanese food, so I think it will be really cool. Ok also soooo jealous of your Flying Fish and Bluezoo ressies!!! I will await those reviews, salivating! :goodvibes:goodvibes

Again, just super cool that you guys are getting to do the Univeral/WWHP thing. DH is like, green with envy lol. I think he semi-hates me for not completely indulging his Universal love. I mean, we've BEEN there....lol. But we will get there for HP, I promise! Maybe on the secret trip I'll add a Universal day...Now you've got me thinking...DANGIT WOMAN!!! :rotfl:

Seriously, you have the most dry, amazing sense of humor. I just love it!!!! You crack me up!!!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

EIGHT days 'til departure!! :yay:
FIVE school days 'til departure! (But 4 of them are early dismissal!) :woohoo:
FIVE working days 'til departure! (I sincerely hope I survive.)

Bernadette, the hair was good yesterday. Today is the 8th grade awards assembly. If all goes well I am going to try to bring Princess and Pixie to see DS get his awards. The 8th graders get to be out of uniform today, so we'll see what sort of outfit he comes up with. The majority of his favorites are packed! :rotfl: (He was NOT pleased when I pointed that out.) They are having a party outside after lunch today so I told him he better not wear anything too hot. It has been in the low 90's this week.

Princessallegra, I don't know that we will get much done at WWoHP in an hour, even if we go both mornings. So tell your DH not to be jealous! ;) How fun to be planning another trip!! ADRs are almost my favorite part.

I really can't wait to hear what happens with you and your Harry Potter visit. Tomorrow is the first day of the package deals so maybe some more things will start leaking out. We have one day blocked out for Harry in August and I'm trying not to worry about spending an entire day waiting in line.

What are your plans for the long weekend? I have to take my oldest shoe shopping this weekend. Exciting stuff.

The travel agent said the memo she got promises clients that WWoHP will be 100% open and functional for onsite guests from 8 AM - 9 AM each day. After 9 AM, who knows? :confused3 We shall see!!

I have to get my hair colored Saturday, pedicure Monday, and the rest of the time I will be cleaning. Blech.

My pet sitter still hasn't called me back. I think she is of the mind that if she plans to be there, no need to call. :rotfl: I'll give her a couple more days, then I will call her again.

ONE WEEK 'til departure!!!

7 days 'til departure! :dance3:
4 more school days (ALL early dismissal)!!
4 more working days!! :yay:

DH is off today and tomorrow. He better pack!

When do you leave? Your ticker looks like about 5 weeks. That's not too bad! :thumbsup2

After this trip I don't know when I will have another ticker. We have no plans for 2011 yet.

6 days 'til departure! :dance3:
3 working days 'til departure! :yay:
3 school days 'til departure!

I left a second voice mail for the pet sitter. I hope she calls back soon or DH will have a fit. It does make me a little nervous that we haven't heard from her.

Today is salon day for me.

Then I have to buy more coffee because DH opened the bag I bought to bring with us.

And I have to clean. :headache: I hate cleaning.

Yea for six days! I always have to clean my house before I leave, too. I like to come home to a spotless house with everything picked up. You know, so we can come in the door from the airport and totally wreck it!:lmao:

Happy three day weekend too! My husband came home with badges for Colonial so he's wrecked my plans for today. I just don't get watching people golf.

The ONLY reason I clean is so the pet sitter won't be frightened. Of course if she never calls me back...:rolleyes1 Well, one way or another we will have to have a pet sitter, so I will still have to clean. I would hate to board the cats for 2 weeks.

DH would probably like to go to the Colonial. But he needs to stay home and pack. ;) He watches golf on TV. I find it to be soothing background noise for napping. Back when DH and I were dating I saw John Daly in the airport. Now whenever he is on TV I tell DH "There's my friend John Daly!" :rotfl:

I'm very pleased to have a 3 day weekend. The 3 days I have to work next week are going to be CRAZY busy.

Oh yes... not too bad;) ... we leave July 5 around 6 pm. We are doing deluxe plan for the first night (Kidani)so we can eat at the castle and Crystal Palace. Then change to Jambo Value Studio for 8 nights with QSDP and few ressies here and there!

I am very excited about returning to WDW for a girls only 3 night visit on July 26. 3 different resorts... all forthe sake of booking 1 night of the Premium plan right in the middle!!!

Then I return in October on a school trip... then Spring Break next April... and the Disney Dream with a short 2 day visit in August 2011. :lovestruc

Disney has become my hobby, obviously!

You have a lot of trips coming up! :thumbsup2 We love AKL/V. I would like to stay at Kidani, but so far I haven't been able to part with the points for a one bedroom. The single sink in the studio bathroom would be tricky for us. I love the configuration of the sinks in the Jambo studios!

Our Spring Break is in March. We've never tried to travel then, but with DS going to high school (which means we shouldn't take him out for trips anymore) and DH gaining another vacation week I guess we could consider it!

So, my hair is done. :)

I only have one load of towels left to launder. :laundy:

I spent about 2 hours in DS's room feeling like I was on the show "Hoarders". The boy is incapable of throwing things in the trash! :sad2: And instead of putting anything away, when he is finished with something he shoves it to one side. I pulled everything out into the center of the room and started sorting and tossing. That made him screech. But seriously, it was looking hazardous. I will need to help him more tomorrow. It was going to have to be done anyway at some point this summer. Since we started we might as well finish! I don't think I will ever manage to properly sort all the Legos, K'Nex, Magnetix, and Playmobil but at least it is all sort of contained now.

Out of curiosity I looked at the website for a specialty cat boarding facility. Their price is TRIPLE what it would cost for the pet sitter. :scared1: I REALLY hope she calls soon.

DH is sort of packed. He says he's not finished, but he is MUCH better off than he was this AM so I'll take that. This morning he hadn't packed ANYTHING.
