June Birthday Dining Report, DDE, pics, etc! updated 9/10 page 7

I've never been to the Tune In Lounge.:scared1: So, I'm adding it to my list, because I need a Picnic Punch! I've never done 50's Prime Time either. I think I need to go for two weeks to fit in everything! Can't wait to read more....popcorn::

That's too bad that your fiend wasn't able to make it. My last family trip my mother got hit with siatica right before we left. She ended up spending most of the trip getting pushed around the parks in a wheel chair.

I don't want to admit to how many drinks are making it onto my to-drink list thanks to you. They all look sooo good!

Thank you so much for focusing on the alcohol! In most reviews the alcohol is a side note so you don't really get an idea of how much variety there is. Dsis and I are certainly happy to read along with you to get ideas for our trip in August.

I really enjoy your reports - glad that there's a new one.

Hope your birthday at WDW was magical :wizard: and I can't wait to see the pics of the rest of your trip.

Just discovered and read your previous dining report earlier tonight...glad to see that it ended with a link to a new one! Yay! Except the last one had the instant gratification of getting to read it all at once, this one will take patience! :)

Looking forward to more.

Yay another dining, drinking, fun report from Marcia!!:yay: My mom's birthday was also on June 13th.

I'm excited another food review...I have read a couple of your dinning review and I was to say thank for sharing your food reviews. I can't wait to hear about Kimonos. We are planning to stay at the Swan in December.

Did you like staying at the Swan? I was looking at prices and with my AAA discount I think that is where I will be staying next, after my trip in Sept where I'm doing POP for the 1st time. The Swan is just so much cheaper than deluxes and in such a nice location.

That Picnic Punch looks great btw. I love the color!

So how many people from the DIS have stopped Dave while he was working, saying they know u??

Hey off topic but still: are you anywhere near Atlantic City? I am having a meet there end of July...would you be interested?

Picnic punch is totally on my list as is a refillable mug for incognito adult beverages (great tip!).

Sorry your friend wasn't able to make it. That stinks. Sounds like you had fun anyway.

Swan looks really nice!

I love WDW too!! :)

I just love your alcohol laden reviews!;)

ah and i am happy to olbige :)

Ah yes, picnic punch! The best drink in HS! Did Dave mention that just a few days earlier a stranger asked him about you! :lmao: And I ordered your house specialty!

actually yes, i totally forgot to mention that! when i got there, i asked him if a couple had been in recently knowing who he was cuz of me. and he was like, yeah, they were nice people. glad you had as much fun as i did!!!

absolutely loved the swan! the location could not be beat. oh man, those walks/boat rides to epcot and mgm were so so so amazingly convenient. not to mention the wonderful room and bed. would love to stay there again if the rate was so low again!

So how many people from the DIS have stopped Dave while he was working, saying they know u??

Hey off topic but still: are you anywhere near Atlantic City? I am having a meet there end of July...would you be interested?

haha, too funny. i have mentioned it to lots of people, even during my trip. telling them they should go there, when i meet them, at say, R&C pub in epcot! and i'm not really close to atlantic city, i'm actually all the way up north, very close to new york state. but let me know and i'll see what i can do!

Picnic punch is totally on my list as is a refillable mug for incognito adult beverages (great tip!).

lol, i feel like such a rebel and dave always pretends to avert his eyes, but well, hey, if i can have a bottle of water, i can have a different drink. i'm not messy, i promise! and yes, the swan was awesome, and i survived just fine w/o him! he'll come next time!

next review, coming up!

World Showcase, alcohol, 6.11.09

Right, so MGM was crowded and I wanted to hear some Off Kilter. So since there was a boat, I took it to the Swan/Dolphin where I got off and walked the rest of the way to Epcot. Much shorter trip, as long as you don't mind the walk, which of course, you know I don't!

Anyway, I had already missed the 2:30 show, so once I arrived to the Int'l Gateway, I stopped at the Rose & Crown Pub to grab a drink to bring with me to the 3:30 show. What did I order? Welsh Dragon, of course! And Nicki had posted about a special souvenir cup it now comes in, but well, for about 3 bucks cheaper, I could have it in a plain old cup. Fine with me! Here we are, after I took my seat in Canada

When I got there, Randy was still on stage, and he informed me that the whole crew was there, except for Jamie. I was bummed, as I like seeing them all together, but well, it actually ended up pretty awesome.... keep reading ;)

Here's Goofy/Aaron waiting for the show to start

And again with Randy and Mark
pic185.jpg

So at some point in the show, Mike does all these awesome fiddle moves, behind the head, behind the back, through the legs, etc. Then he comes down into the audience to get someone to "help" him fiddle. Well....guess who he chose!?!?!?! Me!!!!!!!!!! And since I was there by myself, Mark mentioned that someone should pick up my camera, and a very nice gentleman in the row behind me did. Thank you kind man! Because of you, I can share these!!!

Thrilled doesn't even begin to cover it! I will never be unhappy that the fiddle is in place of the bagpipes again!!

Anyway, Off Kilter doesn't play at 4:30, so I took that time to go get me a Disney Visa Meet n Greet, and to ride Spaceship Earth.

Stopped at the Colas of the world thingy, and got me some yummy watermelon soda from China. They're usually out of it when I go, so I was happy.
pic269.jpg

Then on my way back to Canada, I took the long way around the lake, stopping first at China, for a yummy "Peach Snap!". That's what they call the peach slushie w/peach schnapps. Seriously good stuff. Tea stand

Had me some more Off Kilter at 5:30
pic304.jpg

Another break til 6:30...so I decided I may as well get a Grey Goose Slush from the stand in France. Twist my arm, really

Some more Off Kilter at 6:30
pic326.jpg

Ugh, then my alcoholic mistake of the trip. I went over to Italy to get my beloved Italian Margarita. Well. I asked for it and noticed it was really watery. Like, not frozen at all. So I was like, um, can I taste that please? Because I am used to it being frozen. So the guy put some ice in it for me, but really? Major disappointment! And they raised the price too! Not happy!
pic342.jpg

At this point, I realized that my camera was broken! I had accidentally dropped it while in its case, and well, I left the screen viewing area next to batteries, and well, it cracked. Awesome. So at least I could still take pics, but I had no idea what I was getting, and had no way of checking. I had a minor breakdown, but then convinced myself I would be okay, I was in Disney after all! And if all my pictures didn't come out, well, I would be back, and I would survive. So yeah, after my minor freak out, it was time for my last Off Kilter of the day! 7:30 show. As you can see, I got lots of peoples heads, haha, had to adjust to not seeing what I was shooting!
pic376.jpg

After that, I walked back to MGM to use my FP for TSM and Star Tours, then went back to the Swan to grab some grub at Kimonos. Here are a couple pics of the gorgeous view on my walk to MGM

Pretty decent for having no clue what I was shooting!!!

next up: dinner @Kimonos

How exciting that you got picked! That's fantastic.

All the pics of the views from the Boardwalk area make me really want to stay at one of the resorts over there one of these days. I just love that area so much!

Ok so now I know you can save the $3 and get the Welsh Dragon in a regular cup...I had no idea, I was just way to excited to try it...but I think if they still have the special cups in Oct I will get them because they are great around the pool and Todd and I are constantly fighting over the one I have!

What I wouldnt do for a GG Slushie right now, or a Welsh Dragon, Picnic Punch, Peach Snap...whatever it is I want it!

You are so cute with the fiddle dude!

How great for you to get picked! And, what a nice guy to take pics for you. I think I'm drunk!:rotfl: I'm a lite weight when it comes to drinking, but I may need to do something about that.:drinking1 All those drinks look so good (sorry about the Italian Margarita!). Can't wait to read more....popcorn::

gotta jump on and say hi, always a fan of your reports! :goodvibes

Great report so far, as always. :goodvibes You looked so happy playing the fiddle. :)

Ahhh I love that Peach Snap!!!!! One of my favs!

So I am wondering where you put all this alcohol?! LOL. I would be stumbling all over epcot lol.

The date for the meet in Atlantic city is July 25th. let me know if you might be able to make it!
