I wanted to give a quick update on our June trip. We were a party of 11 with 2 scooters and a stroller that only used the buses. I was worried but we had a great experience! Out of all of our bus rides over a 9 day trip we only had to wait for three "extra buses" because our 2 scooters wouldn't fit. One time there was another scooter in line in front of us at MK, same at AK; and the other was because a scooter had already loaded at Kidani. I was also worried that with such a large party we would not want to "cut" in front of people that had waited a along time. This was never an issue as the bus lines were already short, even at park closing. We were almost always the first people at a bus stop. At AKL there was always someone there in the morning manning the bus station; calling extra buses as needed. I thought this was great!

We rented from Buena Vista for the third time and had another great experience with no issues. We had more rain then on previous trips but used the provided scooter covers with no issues.

Having 2 scooters, a stroller and 11 total people definitely slows you down a bit but you go with it.

We stayed in a 3 BR villa at AKL. It was gorgeous and had plenty of room for the scooters! My aunt accidentally ran into a mirrored table in our entry way and broke it. We reported it to the front desk immediately and offered to pay for it but they refused and were embarrassed it had happened!

We were granted the DAS pass for one of the members of our party. They said that because we were 11 it may not always work depending on the ride and the wait times. We had already secured FP+ for all the big stuff with long waits so this wasn't an issue.

We are DL regulars, going two or three times a month. They "seem" much friendlier to people with disabilities at DL. The ride ops are much more accommodating. My mother fell and broke her arm getting off the Haunted Mansion so they told us to always request it to be stopped or slowed down for her to get off. When we asked for this on any of these type of rides at WDW they really made a big stink and said they couldn't or didn't want to but usually did. This just made her feel bad and potentially put her at risk for another injury. I thought about reporting it but have not.

Future rule for your aunt: stop just inside the door; let somebody else park!

That's just wrong. They (obviously) can. Not wanting to should be discussed immediately with the Attraction Lead, or as soon as possible with the Area Manager of Guest Services.

Otherwise, great report!

I'm so glad to hear your report about your experience with buses. Last year I allowed 1 1/2 hours to bet to AK, but it ended up taking 2 hours, because I had to wait through 3 buses with my ECV! I missed my Caring for Giants tour, but fortunately they rescheduled me. I was a little uneasy about my upcoming trip and waiting with my ECV, but your report makes me feel better. Thanks!

Not necessarily true. I worked Peter Pan at WDW in 2000 - if it is stopped repeatedly, it will break down, at least back then.

Yeah, it's pretty common knowledge that Peter Pan and the People Mover can't be stopped. But Haunted Mansion can be.

The one time I asked to speak to a supervisor, I ended up having to wait forty minutes before they arrived. If you do it a couple of times a day, it can really eat into your park time. And the fact that it's still going on tells me that they're not doing anything to address the problem in CM training.

I fell getting on Haunted in DL many years ago. I always ask for it to be stopped.
