June 9, 2014 ALASKA! Who's in?

I am working on the FE group(s). Right now we have 15 cabins in the first group. I will start a second group if needed. Welcome to our group!

My husband has been wanting to see Alaska, I wanted a Disney cruise... seems like the perfect pairing! We're going with my in laws and DD (4). We've never done any type of cruise, so I'm sure I'll have lots of questions! Getting excited!

Its 2014 which means that we sail to Alaska this year! How are everyone's plans going? So far I have Booked flights to Seattle arriving on Saturday Booked a one way rental from Seattle to Vancouver Booked hotels in Vancouver and Seattle (although neither is prepaid so both are subject to change based on rate changes over the next few months) Booked our Whale Watch out of Juneau. Our plans Saturday - Fly to Seattle get rental car, drive to Vancouver Sunday - Do a Hop on Hop Off Tour in Vancouver - with plans to spend time in Stanley park and the Aquarium Monday - Board the Wonder at Canada Place Thursday - Skagway - Take the White Pass Railroad/ Bus and Liarsville combo excursion. Get lunch and then do the Chilkoot Trail Hike and Float in the afternoon Friday - Juneau - Whale Watch - private excursion and visit to Mendenhall Glacier Saturday - Ketchikan - walking tour on our own with planned stops at the Southeast Alaska Discovery Center and the Totem Heritage Center. Monday - Disembark and make our way back to Seattle - Tuesday - early morning flight home. Anyone else getting excited? Do you have any plans made for your trip yet? (Yes I am a little OCD when it comes to travel planning/research)

We're also flying to Seattle (from Chicago). We're actually taking a train from Seattle to Vancouver on Sunday, though. I think that will be so fun. I'm sure my DD (4) will love it too

It is so odd being paid in full but still weeks off from being able to book anything.

Looks like this thread isn't very active. Frankly, I'm a bit disappointed.

Anyway - we are booked (paid in full) for June 9 to Alaska. DH, myself and DD (10). This is our second Disney cruise, both on the Wonder ship, both to Alaska. Missed too much last time - so much to see!

I'm really not interested in the FE's (sorry), but last time I got sooooooo much information from others through these forums I knew I should check it out again this time.

Oh! And how odd - but we are ALSO booked on deck 6!

Just made the decision to book at the last minute as a surprise for our daughters college graduation. Will be flying into Seattle on Friday night, couldn't believe the fares into Vancouver.

Welcome Larry!
At the time we booked airfare, the cost into Vancouver and Seattle was pretty similar (from Indianapolis). Love the airline industry that can changes pricing continuously - makes it a real gamble to make a decision. Glad you are coming anyway.
