Somebody on the main cruise forum says they saw a new itinerary that replaces Corsica and Malta with another port in Italy and Marseilles.

I sure hope this isn't true. Italy's fine but I was hoping to see more than just Italy and a bit of France.

There's nothing on the Disney site so nobody's confirmed anything yet.

I read the threads you are referring to. I can't imagine it's true. There would be no reason to change. Corsica is day 9, sandwiched between La Spezia and Villefranche.

For those who have been on the med cruise before, have they sold well? It seems that Disney has had a difficult time with the 2011 med cruises. I certainly hope that they are not changing more ports but after reading all about the September 3rd cancellation, it does leave me wondering and hoping that there are no more changes!!!!

I've been reading about Corsica and apparently they are known for their honey. On our Caribbean cruise, I brought back little rum cakes for everybody at home. I'm thinking Corsican honey would be a nice little gift. Maybe they have tiny jars of them? LOL

I might be bringing some bubble wrap with me just in case they do!

Anyone looking for a private tour to Florence/Pisa?

My family has already reserved Fabrizio's team (allarounditaly.net) for LaSpezia port on June 14th. Our tour will make a quick stop in Pisa to see the tower and then head off to Florence for the rest of the day. We plan to hit the museums in Florence and enjoy a Tuscany lunch. The town is 90 minutes from the ship, so this is an all-day adventure ... leave at 8:00am and return between 5 and 6:00pm.

We are a family of 6 and our reserved van carries 8, so we have an opportunity to add 2 more and split the tour cost (per person). (Tour does not cover cost for museum entrances or meals.)

Our children will be ages 18 (girl), 16 (boy), 14 (girl), and 11 (boy). We're a fit and active family.

If anyone has a small party of 2 that is looking for an opportunity to visit Florence at an economical cost, please feel free to send me a PM.

The tour groups drop you at Sorrento and you take the ferry to Capri and then ferry or hydrofoil back to port; 2) Pisa and Florence on Tuesday. Would love to get with a larger group. If you are considering and would like to join forces please let me know and see if we can make it work. We would also like to see what options are available for Monte Carlo, Cannes or Nice. I haven't gotten that far!! Getting soooo excited now that the deed is done and money is spent!

I have spent a lot of time in the Nice area and it is pretty easy to do on your own. Let me know if you need specific information. It is a beautiful place and I get to go in April too.

Man, I gotta get on the ball with these excursions. Sometimes I feel like I'm overwhelmed with the number of tour choices and whether to trust one company over another.

I just printed out all of the Disney excursions so I can do price comparisons (and get ideas). I have some time off in a couple of weeks, maybe I'll dedicate it to looking for tours... And I still have to find a flight to get us acoss the pond. LOL
