our docs came yesterday-oddly in my teenage son's name.
For dress up night we will be dressed up-suits and ties and nice dresses. There are usually a lot of people dressed up on the 4 night so i expect this to be the same.
welcome to the WV cruisers-my son and his girlfriend are about to graduate from WVU-they are not able to cruise with us this time and I;ll miss them a lot

is the final number set for FE? I need to get going with that-things have been so hectic and will continue to be right up to the time we leave for Orlando on the 5th.

I still have not figured out how to add our picture to the album-hopefully I will before cruise time.

We usually try to get to the port around 10:30. We have Florida Tours picking us up at the hotel the morning of the cruise-we are staying at the BCV.
I saw a commercial for Prince of Persia-maybe that will be on the cruise the night they show a movie in the theater.

So far there are 11 families taking part in the FE, and the closing date to join is the 7th. Thankfully I've already bought most of my gifts, I just need a few little bits and bobs to finish off

We leave on the 5th too, and we're having a couple of nights at The Poly (I can't wait)

Our cruise docs arrived this weekend. But we will need some new ones as our DD Lisa (21) will also be coming with us. She is a brand new graduate of the University of Florida, and will be chilling with us for a while before moving to Washington D.C. I am so glad she will be there with us!!
So now that I have a daughter with me, who can tell me about tea at Palo?

As for dressing up for Dinner DS and I will be wearing suits and ties one night and khakis and sports coats another part of the fun of a cruise is dressing up the rest of the evening will be cruise casual or tropical.

I've been doing a little looking around at other threads to see what tastings are offered. My DH and I can't decide on any one in particular. They all sound fun. He's most interested in the Whiskey tasting (our TA just went to it on her cruise), while I'm torn between the Wine and the Martini tastings (I love them both). And, how could I forget the Beer? So many spirits...so few days to imbibe (oops, I mean taste) them all.

How 'bout anyone else?


Also, so glad to hear others will be "dressing" for dinner.

That's great that your daughter is now sailing with you I didn't realise that High Tea was being offered on this cruise. There aren't any bookings available on-line, so I may have to dash onboard and try and make a booking. Does anyone know where I have to go to make a High Tea resevation (we've already got Brunch and Dinner booked). Who else has booked High Tea ?

We've never tried the tastings before, but if I was to choose one, I guess it would be the Martini tasting

I've got a fun weekend ahead of me. Tonight we're going to see Rihanna in concert and tomorrow night we're going to see the Black Eyed Peas. I'm really looking forward to both concerts

We are getting so excited, the cruise is coming up. We have gone thru all of our plans for the cruise, and actually have cancelled our excursions for Key West and Nassau (we thought we should enjoy the ship as much as possible since this is our first time cruising).

Has anyone else done this? And just hung out on board or only gotten off for an hour or two at each port?

We just want to make sure we don't get bored. We are still planning on walking to the Southernmost point in Key West (must have that photo op), but otherwise...

Well, I only have one excursion and is on Nassau... In the other islands I plan to walk a little with my daughters and then enjoy the cruise

I just wanted to give everyone a head's up on our Key West Day. I was looking on the city of Key West website for maps/tourist info and found out that Pridefest 2010 starts on June 9th in town and is the largest Festival they have in the city. The kickoff party is at 5 pm, so be forewarned that the streets are going to be jam packed with people. There is supposed to be a street party that night at one of the bars (I didn't look into which bars as we will be there with our kids so will not be hangin' in the Key West bars--we'll save that for the ship).

Anyway...just a head's up for everyone.
