June 8, 2010 WONDERful 5 Day Key West Cruise

I love the map idea-on the cruise where we had so many participants we spent a lot of time trying to find the cabins, til we realized to use the map we got of the ship.
it really worked! Last time I copied the maps on the DCL website and was able to add names by the cabin #'s in my photo program. I think I had to email the maps, but I can't remember.

Where is everyone staying before the cruise? We are on a wait list to stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge at WDW with some left over DVC points, but I need a back up. We did the Rad last time and I liked that they let us keep our car there, but it's around $200! Jeez! I just need 1 night LOL!

if u will all PM me your cabin #'s closer to the cruise date, I will make a list and PM it back w/a floor map of the wonder to help find the cabins easier. I did this for my last cruise thread and it really helped :thumbsup2

Sounds like a very good idea to us

we are staying at BCV using our points from sat until the cruise. We have stayed at the Country Inn at the port. It was nice and they had a free breakfast and free shuttle. we got there too late, but some nights they have a free bbq too

we are looking at this now, did u feel your car was safe being left there?

We are staying at All Star Music...
We have stayed at all the all-stars, we love them! Have u stayed there before? How long are u staying before you go on the cruise? Hubby thinks we can stay at AKL and NOT go to disney for a day...hahaha, I do not think that can be done...u can't put me that close to a park and not go:lmao:We did book Country inns and suites for the night before, but we have those extra points for DVC, I NEED to talk him into making a ressie for Sunday night and we could hit a park Mon before heading to the port...fingers crossed!!!:upsidedow

We've never stayed at any of the All Stars...We always stay at Pop. If I even suggest we stay anywhere else (in any category), my girls have a fit. The only way I was able to get in All Star Movies was to remind them it was ONE night...:rotfl:

I definitly vote for some Disney time before the cruise..

15 Weeks to Sail-Away. We are undecided between Port Orleans French Quarter and the Beach Club at this point

i soooo agree, I asked Clinton if we could go down Sunday instead and hit WDW now that he booked a hotel at port for Mon night instead of AKL (he didn't want to drive in the day we set sail)...fingers crossed!

we did not have a car-so I'm not sure what to tell you there
There was a thread on this on the boards and everyone seems to love the hotel and found it safe. We left our car at the raddison in '08 w/no problem and this hotel is right next door, so I feel OK about it

Well, now that we're past the 105 mark I finally feel like the cruise is almost here. Booked our Palo brunch and started looking at excursions. Just can't decide which ones to do. I really think my daughter would love the sea lion encounter in Nassau. Ah, decisions decisions!

We are staying at Pop Century before and after the cruises. Just a couple of nights surrounding the cruise. I need the extra time to get the vacation started and then to just keep it going a bit longer after :)

We are staying at Pop Century afterwards too. Are you taking Disney transportation back to Pop after the cruise? Maybe we'll be on the same bus.

Well, I was successful in getting my parents to go along-so now it is brandon (14), myself and my parents-Joe and Betty-from Wilkes-Barre. I have to check if they want to do the FE or not.

We are staying at the Port Orlean's riverside. Not sure if we are doing the FE. Never have and need to find out more, not sure if it will take up too much time and we do have to pay extra for luggage - yay frontier!

the FE is always a lot of fun and not bad if there are not an overwhelming number of cabins

I am getting excited. I wish we knew more about the 5 night and what to expect for the dinners and shows.

We are flying SW and don't have to pay for luggage thank goodness, but if you wanted to participate, maybe you could come up with an extra small set of gifts.

We are excited here too...my 10 year old has been going through our Disney Memories and supply boxes almost every day in anticipation.

if everyone could double check post #12 to make sure i have updated all info. Now that the cruise thread is picking up I would hate to miss something.....thx!!

Just wondering how you are able to start booking things like Palos and excursions we received a letter for DCL saying we can start on March 10th

Cat 1,2, or 3 can book at 105 days. I can't wait till March 10 to book Palo dinner. We did the brunch last time, so I may not go for that. I'm trying to decide what night to book Palo?? hmmmm
