June 8, 2010 WONDERful 5 Day Key West Cruise

Did I already say you can add us to the FE? If not, go for it. If I did, well, blame it on old age ;)

We had a great time with the FE on the Christmas cruise this year and can't wait to do it again.

We also finished re-arranging our vacation and are now doing this cruise and then the 5N Double-dip after it. We'll be in stateroom 6003 for both cruises unless we upgrade.

And our daughter (will be 8 for the cruise) has gotten very into email. So if anyone has a kid the same age who would like to exchange some emails before the cruise let me know :)

Jim

Our family and several of our friends will be on this cruise. We have a total of 4 rooms with 14 people. This is the fourth Disney Cruise for our family and first for other members of our group. We travel with three certified service dogs so we are easy to identify. Our countdown has started.

WELCOME!!!!:cheer2: I have added you to roll call on post #12 :)

well, it looks like my husband is unable to go, so unless I can convince my parents to come along it will be just my 14 yr old son and myself. we will participate in the FE. I guess I will have a lot of time to read because I know Brandon will be busy in the teen club-so far I don't see any other boys his age in the dis group, but I'm still hoping.

Sorry your husband is not going, but happy your joining the FE!

did you decide on a type of gift or price range? Or is everyone just doing what works for them?

you all just tell me , I'm just keeping roll call up to date ;) If you all want to add a gift type or money limit to the FE let me know and I'll add it to roll call. I have bought one thing for my FE gifts...and let's just say you'll need to be 21 to enjoy it :rotfl:

Hopefully someone will have a 14 yr old who would like to email my son Brandon before the cruise.

For anyone who has ever cruised with just 2 people, I guess they just seat you with another family-is that right? That could or could not work-we usually travel with more people so it has never come up before.

I haven't bought anything yet, but have been thinking of ideas...I have a couple, but thought I'd wait until closer to figure out exactly what we'd do.

I have been on cruises that set limits, buy only for kids, or one gift per room, but I think I prefer to do whatever works for each person-then no one feels uncomfortable or pressured or unsure whether to participate.

Our last cruie there were so many people doing FE we needed an extra suitcase-not sure I would do that again-it tokk forever just to hand out our gifts-although we did get a lot of great stuff, but with paying extra for luggage and luggage weight limits it makes it harder

I think that's a good idea to let everyone just do what they want/can if everyone is comfortable with it.

We always bring a practically empty suitcase to WDW to bring back souveniors so I figure we'll do one for FE for the cruise...thank goodness for SW and still free suitcases!

some people make great gifts, but I am not crafty at all

Yea...mine probably won't be crafty either...LOL...maybe creative in no one else thought to bring it MAYBE, but not crafty. :-)

I was thinking it might be neat to do something "texasy" for everyone since that's where we are from.

I also like the idea of bringing whatever u want to the FE. I plan on doing something small. Last cruise everyone did whatever and we really got some cool stuff! I love the surprise! :lovestruc I also bring an empty roll-on for gifts. Since our boys are not coming with us, it will be just the 2 of us and we'll be seated with strangers. I guess that will be part of the fun? I hope!:scared: Last cruise we had 16 people so we knew everyone we were eating with.

We have a couple 2 or 3 different ideas for the fe. How do you know all the different cabin numbers to hand them out. We enjoy dinning with other families we have done this when there was 4 of us this time there will be only 3 so we are hoping we may be seated with two different families

Maybe we could all post or PM our cabin numbers when it gets closer

if u will all PM me your cabin #'s closer to the cruise date, I will make a list and PM it back w/a floor map of the wonder to help find the cabins easier. I did this for my last cruise thread and it really helped :thumbsup2

I love the map idea-on the cruise where we had so many participants we spent a lot of time trying to find the cabins, til we realized to use the map we got of the ship.
