June 5, 2014 3-Day Bahamian DREAM Cruise Meet!l

My wife and DD (13) are going as well; this will be our 8th DCL vacation but 1st 3-day to Bahamas. Agree with couple of the posts; will definitely enjoy Castaway but may not get off the ship in Nassau.

Now that we have turned into 2014 we are already getting vacation fever! Perhaps it is the Arctic temps and significant temps we've had this week in Chicago? We booked our flights right before the holidays, and have officially started counting the days down.

Because we will be cruising first and then visiting Disney after, I am thinking of only buying 3 day WDW hoppers and then just spending a random, leisure day in Orlando w/ my DS who is 5. Does anyone have any pointers or suggestions in reference to where we should go? (NO Sea World... Just viewed Black Fish and it's more than I can bear, so no thanks...).

This will be my family's first Disney cruise. We are DVC members and will be staying at Boardwalk Villas before the cruise. I am soo looking forward to our first of summer vacation.

I was google-ing info on the Disney Dream andI found this form!
I decided I wanted to do something big for my birthday June 6, so I booked this cruise with the help of my girlfriend. I've been watching every tv special on Disney Cruise and reading anything I can about the ship and I am beyond excited! I booked Palo the night of my birthday but I haven't booked anything else such as spas or excursions. This will be my first time on any cruise ship and I am beyond excited!

We are very excited to be going on our first ever Disney cruise!! It has been a dream of our families to do this for a long time and its almost here!! We have two daughters...Alexis-14 and Abby-7 who do not know that we have even booked this yet. We are planning on telling them the day before we leave and they are going to lose their minds!! Driving down a few days before the cruise and going to one our favorite places in the world...Disney World!! This should be an unforgettable trip!!

I want to experience the fish extender fun but don't really understand it. My girls would both love the idea of giving and receiving cool little trinkets, but I'm just not sure where we go from there. Looks like tons of fun though!!

We did the same thing but didn't tell them until the morning of while standing in the Port Canaveral Disney check-in; it was pretty cool - got it on video; screams kinda scared the others in the check-in line. Have a great time; my daughter 13 is a veteran so if you need advice for Alexis - let me know; Taylor will be in the teen club a bunch.

I would love to let Alexis go to the teen a club a time or two so it be cool for her to get to know someone her age. My 14 year old just turned 14 a few weeks ago and she is an Alexis Taylor...lol!!

Taylor will be in the lounge the first night during family karaoke which I believe starts @ 10:30; she does it every time we're on the boat. If we don't see you before, please ask Alexis if she would like to come by. She will be there with me & my wife.
