June 4, 2010 Wonder 4 Night

I'm so excited to finally be able to say our cruise is THIS YEAR!! :cool1: It still makes me nervous since this is our first cruise, but I'm very excited!

Hi Everyone! This will be our first experience with DCL, and our kid's very first cruise ever. We're doing 6 nights at WDW before hand. The cruise is actually a surprise for the kiddos...they will think we are checking out of WDW to go home, but then we'll go to the port instead!

Last year my son watched the DCL special on the travel channel, and loved it so much he DVR'd it the next time it came on...and he watches it all the time! But I've led him to believe it will be a few years before we ever even consider going on a cruise:lmao:.
I can't wait to see his face when he realizes we are actually going on one instead of going to the airport!

Well, even though owensjro started this thread, he finally moved this cruise out to the 6/13 5-night instead, so we will officially not be on this trip! :( The up-side is now our back-to-back is 10 nights instead of 9! :cool1: Of course, it pushes our vacation out by a week as well :sad2:.

I hope everyone has a blast on this cruise!

Yea we are booked and ready to go on our first cruise  The kids and I can not wait. We have been looking forward to this for over a year now and the kids are in the final countdown. I was going to get the kids a Disney Gift Card so they could have their own 'money' but can we use them on Castaway Cay? :confused3 As a first time cruiser does anyone have pointers on things that we shouldn't miss? See you guys June 4th.

Hello June 4th cruisers!! Are y'all getting as excited as we are! :cool1:

Our DS (6) doesn't seem too excited about the cruise part of our trip yet...I think because he doesn't really know what to expect. DH and I, on the other hand, cannot wait!!

Haven't booked yet, but we're planning on this cruise also! It will be our first cruise EVER for me, Misty; DH, Rodney; and DD, Cailyn (8 when we go).

Here's the main reason I haven't booked yet - we're planning on doing 3 (maybe 4) days at WDW before the cruise.

Does anyone have thoughts on whether it's better to book land/sea together (will have to wait for 2010 pkg prices if so) or to book the cruise now (more room choice, can start paying immediately) and just add my own "land pkg" for the 3-4 days (will still have to wait for the resort prices to be released, but at least 1/2 of it will be taken care of)?

We will be on the June 4 Wonder trip, and will go to Disney World for the second leg of our trip. We priced it, and decided to book both trips separately. With the AP discount, this just seemed like the right move for us.

Using Budget were the shuttles pretty fast or did you have to wait? I'm looking at Budget & Avis.
Anyone stayed at Radisson At the Port? I have read mixed reviews but it looks great in the pictures. We're trying to find a place near the port night before the cruise.
I told my Grand daughter about your dd & she's looking forward to meeting her. She wasn't crazy about having to hang out with her 5 yr old brother on ship.
Anyone on this cruise have a 5 yr old going?

Check out the County Inn Suites. They also offer a special for park and cruise if you are interested. $97.00 with out taxes and fees.

Anyone else stressing out about what to wear for dinner? I am! I've been searching the DIS and I'm still not sure what we're "supposed" to wear for dinner! We're also doing Palo brunch and I'm not sure what to wear to that! Ugh!!

I'm thinking either a Sun dress or Capri pants. My husband will wear khaki slacks and a polo shirt.
We don't have a formal night do we?

I need to get my Passporter's Cruise Book out...

Hello all fellow Cruisers,
I am introduceing myself here,
My family and myself will be sailing with all you all,
there will be a big group of us so I dont think you will be able to miss us,
something like 20 in all, give or take.
I have sailed many times before but I have never been on a cruise this short before, and I have never sailed on Disney.
So if anyone has ANY suggestions at all please let me know, and if I may ask
what is the palo brunch? And like the previous person asked, do we have a formal night?

I love the picture of your Bostons! We have one Terror, and I cannot imagine our house with two! :scared1:

If you recognize us onboard, please say Hi!

LOL! Ours aren't too bad. They are litter mates so have been with each other since the beginning. They keep each other occupied. Although they do keep digging up my lilies in the backyard. They just turned one in February so I'm hoping they will out grow it!
