Mouseaumob we are ok with whatever you decide to do. If you want to give one gift per stateroom that's ok...or if you want to do individual gifts that's ok too...we're pretty easy going!

On the transportation for the excursions what do you do with the little ones and a car seat! I'm quite nervous about this because most cabs I've taken the drivers drive VERY fast. I understand their motivation, since the faster they get you to your destination the faster they can move on to their next fare, but it really stresses me out.

I think that we should do gifts for each stateroom....we aren't a very big group...also when should we give the gifts?? should we bring them to the sail away party?? or plan another time to hand them out??

I'm hoping we can pick another meeting time, since I don't want to be carrying them to the sail away party. It's hard to dance with your hands full.

I agree! we have more important things to do at sail away then hold all our gifts!!!

As far as the transportation...I'm not sure what you should do i know that there was some posts about that in the Mazatlan Frank thread.

On the subject of car seats. I have never taken one. Most of the time it is a bus with no seatbelts anyway. I hate to say "You'll be okay" but you will.

I personally think since it is only the 5 groups that if you are going to consider my mom a seperate entity then certainly you both should be counted. There really is no difference since my mom is part of our group too.

If I counted correctly that is 8.

Thanks, I originally thought it was going to be buses or trams etc, but then I had read the discussion about cabs on Mazatlan Franks thread. So, I'll take deep breaths and try and maintain calm...

I agree, it looks like 8 to me. Should we try and pick a time and place to meet - or should we wait and play it by ear on the ship? Both Sunday and Monday are sea days, one of them might be a good time. What does everyone think?

Worst case scenario (if we never meet up) the dis fairy will be leaving something in front of your stateroom door! which could be fun also!

Yes, that's still the plan as far as I know. The additional meeting I was asking about was to exchange gifts. You know the more I think about it, the more I like the gift fairy idea and suprising people by leaving it at their door. I guess the only concern would be if someone else took it.

Yes I got the picture and it was great. You see I have this great advantage of knowing what you guys look like. Maybe if I get time soon I can make a page and email to everyone so we can all see who it is we are trying to spot.

Poohs4me---where've you been. We missed you. I thought we lost you as well. If you can email me a picture of you, your boyfriend and his DD I can make your door sign. Plus I can add you to the email.

I really like the door fairy thing and I am trying to find some sort of little pocket thing for our doors too.

Boo hoo we aren't leaving until Friday June 3 aftter myDHs office hours.
My sister lives in LA and we were hoping to have dinner with her but unfortunately the only available flight was arriving at 9pm or so. Then we had the whole do we go down near the port on Fri night or wait until early Sat. We decided after a full day and then a 6 hour flight with the kids we needed to go somewhere close and Sat is a brand new day. Besides have you ever noticed how when you are tired a few miles seems to take forever but when you are excited it seems so short? :

We're leaving June 1st and driving down. We're going to spend one night in Vegas and then two nights in Long Beach before we sail.

Judy, I've seen little wire magnetic baskets somewhere that might work for our doors - I'll poke around and let you know if I find them.

Great idea, to share the pictures, since mine is already up on photobucket, I'll just share. The guy with the yellow feet isn't part of the family.

First you have to upload your pictures to a site that will let you link to them. You can use http://photobucket.com its a free service that you sign up for and they will send you and email that you activate. Once you've done that, you upload the pictures you want. Then with in a message you're sending you can insert an image, which gives you a pop-up and from there paste in the URL that photobucket displays for the photo you uploaded.
