June 30 2012 NYC Anyone?

Haven't decided about excursions yet for Nassau. I read about the pirate museum on the boards and think that sounds interesting so I want to look into that as an option. Not sure we want to spend the $$ for Atlantis.

I know I want to do stingray adventure on Castaway Cay. Not sure about the other things, maybe bike ride with my 2 older kids.

Anyone thinking about what they'll do on the WDW day?

I would love to do Magic Kingdom and Epcot but not sure if it's a realistic goal. Definately Magic Kingdom first, and then see if we have time to hop. I'm nervous because it will be July 5 when we are at WDW, I'm certain it will be busy, busy, busy. Wouldn't it be nice if they included some fast passes as part of the deal??

I'm anxious to read about the cruises that head out a few weeks before us on the same itinerary on how the WDW day works out with buses, etc. I would love to be off the ship asap and on a bus to be at MK opening. I'm sure a lot of others have the same idea so I'm hoping they have a lot of buses ready to leave first thing in the morning!

I toyed around with the idea of a princess lunch for my girls but decided against it. First of all we'll see lots of characters on the ship, and second of all it will just take away from our time in the park so we'll stick with quick service meals for the day. I would love to get to the Rapunzel experience at MK. And part of why I want to make it to Epcot is for Tink - my 3 year old (will be 4 on the cruise) LOVES Tink (has a whole Tink bedroom :)). I haven't read anything about Tinkerbell on the ships so I think Epcot would be our only chance to get a pic. I have a picture of her with Tink on our last visit but being only 17 months she was terrified of the characters so it's not the best pic :rotfl: Ahhhhh, so much to do and only 1 day!!!

We are definitely going to do the Aquaventure full day pass @ Atlantis. It's a lot of $, but we have a lot of Disney Dollars on our Disney Visa. So, we will use them for that excursion.

In WDW we have a plan. Not sure if it will work, but here it is:
Go to HS first to hit TOT, RNR, & TSM. Then take the ferry to the Beach Club to have lunch @ Beaches & Cream & walk from there to Epcot to work off some of the burgers & ice cream. We just want to walk through Epcot for some photo ops. Then we will jump on the monorail & head to MK. There we want to do the 3 mountains and walk around. That's our plan, now let's see if it's doable!

We're planning a beach day for nassau. We have some young kids in the group that really wouldn't be using atlantis, so we figured we'd do a beach since everyone enjoys that.

We were just at WDW this feb, so I think were going to do HS and see how much time we have left after we do everything there we want to. We may just do a short day there and then head back to the boat for the rest of the day. Haven't really decided yet. We still have so much time to plan everything.

Mark and Sarah did the pirate museum in 2008 on our first cruise and loved it! In fact Sarah wants to do it again!

Oh that's good to know! I think my ds would really enjoy it, not sure about the girls. Can we walk to the museum from the ship? Do you remember how long they spent there? And is there any little shopping markets or anything close to the ship?

I'm thinking for Nassau I'd like to just do a short walk, see the museum and then back to the ship. We have a backyard pool and a cottage at a nice beach, so I'd personally rather take advantage of the ship amenities than extra beach time (granted our cottage isn't in the caribbean but it's still pretty nice LOL).

Sorry I haven't been on.. Had to go to NYC for a conference and am getting ready for the school year to wind down.

I was trying to remember how long they were there.. Maybe an hour? All I know is Sarah can't wait to go back and our Pediatrician has to take her son there every time their cruise stops in Nassau. They have done it 3 times!!!

I am thinking we might try a beach day at a resort - I think there is one close to the ship so if we want to come back to the ship it will be easy...

1 year 1 month and 1 day to go!:goodvibes

There are are few of us on this cruise.. Anybody else? We are almost to the year mark and we are so excited! :goodvibes

I will also be on the June 30th cruise.. As we live in northern NJ, this seemed like a no-brainer... :thumbsup2

It will be a second cruise for me, my boyfriend (of 18 years), my BIL and his darling daughter (12.5). We will also have my DB's parents (referred to as MIL and FIL for less confusion), who are first time cruisers..

So far we haven't been able to entice any of my Darling Niece's (DN) cousins and their parents to go with us.. so I may be looking for friend for my DN... she is totally sweet and a great kid who will be heading into 7th grade that fall (loves soccer, ballet, playing guiter and is a girl scout)... I would like to fit in Palo's but I don't want to leave her all by herself... :confused3

I am really anxious to see a agenda/schedule for the shows and such... it is killing me that this is a new itinerary and I am not going to get any info until May!!! :sad2: However, my beloved hairdresser will be on one of the first May cruises and if she wants to keep getting tips she had best bring home those Navigators!!! :thumbsup2

Atlantis - we will probably do the waterpark... my BIL might do the dolphin excursion if my DN shows interest.. it is a little expensive for us..

WDW - this is will be treated as a kamakazi adventure.. .full speed ahead and do as much stuff as possible.. no slowing down, no long shows and I will be lucky to get a potty break... We will probably skip AK because of the time it takes to get there.. Probably start at HS and hit the big ones and then move on... Just a guess..

We have early seating.. I asked for it.. but now I am second guessing my self.. .last time we had the late seating and it seemed sooooo late... :confused3

Can't wait!!!! So excited!!!! :cool1::cool1:

Hey Becky!

We are so excited too! almost 1 year out. Can't wait! We are coming from Northern NY - near Lake Placid. Very excited we don't have to fly...

I am traveling with my DH, and 2 daughters 10 and 6, My parents, and my brother his wife and 2 kids 4 and 2. It should be interesting!

I'm wondering if they will be doing anything special for July 4th. I can't think of a better way to spend the 4th for sure!

We too have decided to bag AK.. It's our least favorite Park. I am thinking in all likelyhood it will be MK/ EP....

Looking forward to our Pre Trip journey!

Hey Everyone! We are under a year!! YIPPEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are going on this cruise too! Me, DH and two teenagers! Our first Disney cruise.....looking forward to it!

Welcome. I'm so happy to see you have 2 teens. My daughter will be 15. Are they boys? Girls? One of each? How old? Sorry I sound like I'm drilling you, but I am really thrilled about someone having older kids. :)

Oh, BTW, are you in the tri-state area?

We're also on this cruise and can't wait to try out this new itinerary! It will be me, DH and our DS who will be 14 -- so one more teenager. He's looking forward to moving up to the teen club. And if she can swing it, DD22 will be with us too.

I do not mind all the questions! I'm hoping more people with teens will come on the boards too! I have two daughters who will be 16 when we cruise.
