Party = Myself, my wife, 9 yr. old Daughter, 4 yr. old Son
Lodging = Port Orleans French Qtr.
First attempt on Disney Dining Plan.
Arrived early Saturday afternoon, by 8pm Saturday evening, my son was running a 103 temp and complaining of a sore throat. Luckily our Doc from home called in a script of his normal antiboitic to the nearest 24 hr. Walgreens. They next day his fever went down some and he wanted to hit the parks. So we attempted Animal Kingdom and I could tell on the bus ride there that he was getting warmer and wasnt feeling well. He vomited right after we entered the gate to Animal Kingdom. So 5 minutes in and we were in first aid. They, along with Guest Services were fantastic... they gave us a map to an afterhours/weekend clinic and guest services transported us back to our hotel plus added another day to our park hoppers since this one was pretty much wasted.
The clinic on the other hand, was horrid. We waited forever, and after the "Doctor" finally checked him out, he said his throat was indeed red, but he was out of strep test kits. I asked him if their was any kind of injection to speed up the healing, he said Certainly, but he was out of that too. So I asked what should we do... he inquired as to what antiboitic he was on.... I gave him the script and he said that's exactly what he would give him. So a $135 "Doctor" visit later and we were exactly where we were before.
Thankfully the antibiotic started kicking in good that evening and the fever disappeared and my son was once again, jumping off the walls. So 2 days in and we finally started our vacation. It threw off the schedule and ADRs that I worked so hard for months to line up, But I surprised them by adding another night to our stay to make up for it.
Not going to go into too much details about what we did, I'll just use my photo album for that... it should be in chronological order.

I'll be happy to answer any questions about the pictures.
I will say the afternoons/evenings were plenty crowded. The food was great, but way too much. I'm glad we did the Dining Plan, but I'm not sure we'll do it again. We just normally don't eat like that and I found the table service meals very time consuming.
The resort was great except for one thing... the buses. We tried them twice and by the time we went through all the Riverside stops, it took what seems likes forever. So the rest of the time, we just took our car and got to our destination park much quicker.
Oh and and you can see from the last couple of pics, our trip ended the same way it started... in First Aid. This time at Magic Kingdom. My daughter was "stuffed" from her cheese pizza at Tony's, but just couldn't say no to that Mickey chocolate chip cookie covered in ice cream, chocolate syrup and sprinkles. I can't blame her there. Well seconds after leaving Tony's it all came right back up. She felt much better after a few minutes rest in First Aid.
Overall an excellent trip despite those setbacks.
