June 29, 2011-10 "MAGICAL" nights in the Mediterranean

Hello all,

Has anyone seen the Navigators for our cruise itinerary?

See page #18, post #264 of this thread. Cam posted a link to 11-night Med cruise navigators from 2010. Hope this is helpful~

Any word if we got the group table for the Palo brunch? (fingers crossed)

I emailed the contact person on Tuesday, but have not heard back yet. I will send another email today. Hope we get confirmed! :)
Hello all,

Has anyone seen the Navigators for our cruise itinerary?

The ones Cam posted are the only ones I have seen and they are 2010. The first Med cruise is not back yet so too soon to have any newer ones up.
I also have the 10 night navigators from last year but don't know how to upload. But they are very similar. We just have one less sea day. Here's a link to our website from last year's 10 night cruise. The home page lists the dining rotation and show schedules. I imagine they'll stay the same (with the exception of new movies showing!) http://muchomagico.weebly.com/index.html

Totally cool! You had quite a group on your sailing last year! I didn't know that you and Rebecca were on the same cruise. I knew you both went last year but just not that you were on the same one. The fact that both of you rebooked for this year says a lot! I think we are in for a fabulous trip! :woohoo:

Hi Kim! I lived in Verona for a short time, then Oakmont and later moved to New Kensington (across from Springdale) when I was in high school. I graduated from Valley High School. Small world!

I am looking forward to meeting you and your DH later this month! The time is certainly speeding by while we are busy with proms, graduations, work, etc.

Happy June!

Howard
It certainly is a small world! I thought Cam said you had lived Oakmont and New Kensington which is why I mentioned Springdale. John and I both grew up in the city. We both went to Pitt which is where we met. Now we live in McCandless (North Hills).

Our Magical trip is going to be here before we know it! See you in Barcelona!

We will be there with bells on! ::yes::
Thank you for coordinating it!

Cam - can you send out the most updated FE list?

Question - my mom & dad are in their own room and don't have an official fish extender thingie... mom wanted to just use one of those reusable shopping bags - is that weird?

I will send out the most recent cruisers chart to everyone.

You will see that there is a column for Fish Extender. We decided that even though we have 2 cabins, there was no need to have a second FE made. Our whole family will enjoy whatever we receive in the FE that is at our cabin (we are across from each other). So, my notation says that we are doing FE and that the FE for the family will be located at cabin "#".

I am not sure how much easier it would be for someone to walk off with a reusable bag that is not so obviously a fish extender. I know if I saw someone walking down the hall with a FE, I'd wonder if they "lifted" it. If I saw someone with a reusable shopping bag, I wouldn't think twice.

Anyone who signed up for the Barcelona Dinner Meet who has not responded to my email from yesterday -- I really need to hear from you today, if possible, letting us know if you are still coming to dinner, whether the menu the majority chose is okay with you, and how many in your party need either of the two "kid/young people" menus.

Thanks!

That is great news Sinnika!!

Thank you very much for putting this together for all of us.

Add us to the wait list in case anyone cancels... We've been trying to book a Palo brunch ourselves and have been unsuccessful so far.

Thanks!

hi everyone!

just back from a short family getaway in vegas... on the drive back to LA, I suddenly got sad because, as I told my DH, "the cruise is almost over!" haha all this planning and anticipation, and i realized that it's so close, it's almost behind us! i just love having it to look forward to.

re: Colisseum tickets -- what's the website again?

our passports arrived yesterday... and my FE gifts are coming along!

So I was pulling down our luggage for our WDW trip (we leave Sunday! :cool1:) and started to pull out our traveling stuff and came across 7 extra silver castaway cay lanyards (4 still in the package). As we'll be getting 4 more this trip, I was wondering if any first time cruisers might want them. I'll be glad to pack them if you do. Just pm me and let me know how many you need. :)
Also, are we doing another Dismeet on embarkation day? I think it would be fun for an informal meet and greet. The Promenade lounge on Deck 3 is perfect for this, say around 3pm. What do you guys think? Also, does our cruise have a name? I was thinking I might get crafty and make a magnet! If I can remember how! :rotfl:

I'll add you to the list. You can also try checking with the Palo's group in Rockin Bar D between 12:30pm and 3pm on embarkation day for any openings. They usually hold about 1/2 for on board ressies.
Speaking of Rockin Bar D, for those that have never sailed the Magic, or have never made it to the clubs at night, there's lots of fun entertainment there. Some of my favorites are Magic Quest, Match your Mate, and Pub night. These usually begin around 10:30pm. Its fun to hang out with other Dis'ers there! Check your Navigators for dates. Magic Quest is usually the first night, and Pub night the last night.
My DS and DD will be hanging out in the Stack for as late as I let them. This will be DS's first time there. He turns 14 tomorrow! Today was also their last day of school so I now officially have a freshman and a junior! :thumbsup2

I am looking forward to trying some of the clubs!

Happy Birthday to your son! :bday: How exciting to be moving up to high school. My DS's last day of school is Monday; this afternoon is "move-up" day to middle school school. So he will meet the teachers and get the lay of the land. He was excited this morning. First time this school year that he woke up before I came in to wake him up.

thanks for the link --
can someone confirm, am i doing this right: for 2 adults and 1 six year old, we'd purchase TWO of the 13,5 tix and ONE of the 1,5 tix? then we can print at home and skip the ticket lines?

(we don't want the guided tour)

That is exactly how we did it.

Funny - I think my husband will be hanging with them! He loves to sit in the pubs and just gab with people! NOT ME - Althouugh, I am trying to keep in mind that this is a once in a lifetime trip for me! If you keep me active - I could see how it goes for Magic Quest (what is that?)...Match your mate...
I rise at the crack of dawn....Good to know he will have someone to hang with. I havent read thru all the new posts yet - but the FE group was going to meet up on the Promenade Dec 1/2 hours before the sailaway. Would you want to just meet up with us then? I was thinking of getting name tags for everyone - but geez. I dont know if I will remember. Will make a note to myslef now so I dont forget...

Magic Quest is a scavenger hunt and Match your Mate is like the newlywed game. Both involve audience participation! They are both hilarious to watch, and are only 45 min long so you can be in bed by 11:30pm. I'm usually asleep by 10:30pm at home but the clubs really are entertaining and wothe staying up for, even for a short while! Esp when you meet up with others!
Name tags are a great idea! :thumbsup2 Does anyone know how to make nametags with our Dis name that will fit in the lanyard clear pocket? There's got to be a template started by some creative Dis-er. I know most people by their Dis name! :rotfl:
Do you have a time for your FE meet? The lifeboat drill is usually around 4pm, then the sailaway party is after that. Actual sailaway did not happen till around 9pm on last year's med cruises.

Just booked our Vatican tickets and decided to use the official Vatican guide tour. There was only one time left to choose - 2pm. The earlier vatican tour is no longer showing. Here's the official Vatican ticket website: http://biglietteriamusei.vatican.va/musei/tickets/do?action=booking
You get a voucher that you need to bring with you. Of course if you just want admission tickets, all the times are open.
Our cruise looks like its filling up too. No more military rates left, and only inside and porthole rooms showing.
So I now have one officially booked thing we are doing on this cruise! :thumbsup2 I have tentative plans for most ports, but we also like to go with the flow and see where we wind up! :)
