June 29, 2008 - Magic - West Coast!!!!

Rick is going to wear his tux again...just changed up a bit, and I am going to look Bee-utibul in a short black evening dress. I hope people don't mistake me for a BLACK ONYX PRINCESS:rotfl2: !!! M-I-C...I need your help again.:smokin:

WOW - didn't mean to get something going here. I really don't want to know what the rules are or get opinions of dress codes (that's like talking politics) - I just want to know what people REALLY DO!

I can tell you that I am taking my tuxedo and I don't really want to pack a suit or sport jacket & slacks for the "Semi" also. If the word was that most wear tuxes or suits, I'd pack another tux shirt. If the word is more casual, I'd wear a little nicer shirt than normal on that night - maybe one that is a little less colorful :)

Well, I am a little bit of the fashion police.

Strictly - Formal night for Men is Tuxedos. Period. Semi-Formal is a Tux or Suit and tie, with at least a jacket, slacks and tie. Casual is a collared shirt of some kind, and slacks, no tie.

I would be happy to rant about this further.

I don't mind someone having an opinion....it's those that feel the need to impose it on everyone and if they don't listen, they must be of a lesser class. I agree that formal night is not for t-shirts....I agree wholeheartedly. If you can't dress up, then maybe enjoy one of the other casual restaurants. But if someone really tries on formal night....suit, tie....then that would be fine in my opinion. :thumbsup2

Thanks Sophia37 - that's what I was looking for. I'll just pack another shirt and save my Bahamas for during the day and casual evenings. Lord knows we don't need no fashion cops!!

You absolutely did not get anything going....you asked about semi formal night, so I put my two cents in. Maybe Sophia will let you wear her Gold Aztec Princess gown that night since she'll have on her black one :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

James is having a bithday sleepover tonight with all his friends tonight. We made the mistake of calling it a slumber Party, and he quickly corrected us. BOYS do not have slumber partys. A house full of 14 year old boys. I am going to have a busy night.
