June 29, 2008 - Magic - West Coast!!!!

Sorry that it took me so long to reply. James came up to me just now and said that he needs 2 egg babies for school tomorrow. They have to carry these around for 2 weeks or so, and keep logs or something. Jake had to do it also in the 8th grade. I love when they hit me with this stuff at the last minute. A whole week alone with my husband sounds soooooo amazing!!!! Only 28 more days!!!

Where was the ranch??

Woodland CA...just north of Sacramento. It was so cool to be raised on a farm. I live in the East Bay now, so all my friends get so into my stories about driving tractors, and having to learn how to drive a truck at 8 years old so my dad could move equipment from field to field. Wouldn't change it for the world. I take my kids 'back home' as much as possible just so they can experience country life. They LOVE it :lovestruc

It sounds wonderful!!

So, I have a question for the experienced cruisers in our little group...We're in a Cat 4. Deck 8. As far as the verandah's concerned...I realize all 5 of us won't fit on it at once, but do they only put 2 chairs on it?? :confused3 Patrick and I will most likely be the only ones to really enjoy it, but I've only seen pictures with 2 chairs, and didn't know if a 3rd would fit just in case one of my kids felt the need to enjoy their parents' company :rotfl: Any info would be cool :cool2: TIA!!

Once we had the verandah and it only had two chairs. You maybe able to ask the room host for another chair.
I put dinner in the oven and now I must go back to my sewing. My husband is building a storage shed in our back yard. I hope he gets it finished before we leave on our trip. But, if he doesn't it will still be here when we get back.
I bet the Magic is off again on its next cruise. It should of left one hour ago. I am so sad. Wish I was on that ship. ok, I wish that every week.
I do not think I will have a tan. Well, unless I move my sewing machine outside. That would take a little too much time. So, I will be the really white person on the Magic. I will look like I have not seen the sun for a long time. I am sure you will not be able to miss me.

Trust me...any other time of year, I'd be right there with you! ;) I did a little too much 'sun' in my younger days, and am told now by my dr. that my habits need to change. But I can't help it...the sun calls me :rotfl2:

If we brought wine with us, is a corkscrew allowed in our luggage? I can't seem to find the answer....:scratchin We don't travel much (other than our own vehicle), so don't really know what the rules are.

If it is in the suitcase and in the luggage I would think it should be fine. I will try to remember to put one in my luggage. We are driving down to LA.

Corkscrew is allowed in checked baggage.

The wine would have a corkage fee/tips if you brought it into the dining room.

Thanks so much guys :worship: ...we're going to be visiting our favorite wineries in the next few weeks, and wanted to pre-purchase our bottles to bring with us. Also, thanks for the info on the dining rooms Infobahn.

We will get some ice wine and Lava Cap from Costco or Bev Mo. We will also get some Vodka for mixed drinks. I am also bringing my bullet so we can blend the drinks we want. I also will bring my coffee pot. I do not like Disney coffee. Crazy. I sound like I am moving in. I wish....

Do not carry on Wine on the airplane, though. They will confiscate it.

When in Napa or St. Helena - eat at Taylor's Automatic Refresher. The best damn burgers in the USA.
