June 28, 2014 ~ Fantasy ~ Eastern Caribbean

We can't book excursions until the end of the month. We did book a tour of St Martin through Bernard's. We are thinking about going to Megens Bay in St Thomas.

Thanks for posting... I have been wondering about this for months!

Hi, Did you get my PM to get your daughter acquainted with mine? I am sure Alexa would love to introduce herself. Just let me know if you'd like this.:thumbsup2

Hi everyone,
I haven't been here in a while, but we were booked for this cruise and had signed up for the FE group. Unfortunately due to money issues, we had to postpone our cruise and reschedule for 2015. It's too bad since we were really looking forward to this itinerary.

Please remove us from the FE exchange. I hope you all have a wonderful cruise!

Sorry to hear that. Good luck with the 2015 cruise.

As regards to the fireworks on the 4th,

We set sail ON the 4th in 2009, and we didn't get any fireworks that night or anything. They did do fireworks for there Pirates night, as usual. Was kinda disappointed, as others said, but we dealt with it. It was also our first Disney cruise, so we went with the flow.

Good luck to those Gold folks that will be booking online tonight/early morning. Hope you get what you want.

By the way, if you get a chance tonight checkout if any of the cabanas are available for Castaway Cay. They are showing all sold out, but its been rumored that DCL holds back a certain amount of inventory like cabanas, reservations at Palo, Remy, and the SPA although I have never been able to confirm that.

I am curious to see if any cabanas magically become available at midnight. :goodvibes We don't want one, but trying to confirm a long time rumor.

I will be up later checking things out, so will let you know how things look! I will snag it if I see it, but I'm not expecting one though. :-(

Two hours til booking time!!!!!!! pixiedust:pixiedust:

Any Platinum members know if there are still Remy reservations available?

My mom also was wondering if they still offered High Tea. When we were in Alaska, they said they were getting rid of it, but then there was talk of keeping it on the 7 night cruises.

Here's to being that much closer to boarding the ship!!

I checked Sunday, Monday, and Thursday nights (sea days) and each night was completely available from 6:00 - 8:00 except for Monday which didn't have a 6:00 PM. The reservations are every half hour so there would be a 6:00, 6:30, 7:00, 7:30, and 8:00 option.

I do not see a High Tea option for any day.

awesome! Thanks!

On a similar note, I looked up the Dining Schedules in my Passporter's Guide. It says it can change, but TYPICALLY:

Day 1 regular rotation, casual attire (Port Canaveral Day)
Day 2 regular rotation, FORMAL attire (Sea Day)
Day 3 regular rotation, casual attire (Sea Day)
Day 4 Pirate night, casual/pirate wear (St. Maarten)
Day 5 Prince and Princess menu, casual (St Thomas)
Day 6 Captain's Gala, SEMI-FORMAL attire (sea day)
Day 7 See Ya Real Soon, casual (Castaway Cay day)

So, I am sorry, I was a bit off. I thought formal night was the Captain's Gala, but its semi-formal for the Captain's Gala. Although honestly, they often look one and the same as far as everyone's attire!

From our experience, your schedule is correct. On the Eastern, Sunday is normally Formal night and Thursday is semi-formal.

Depending on how old your princesses are you may want to consider booking the Biddidi Bobbidi Boutique on Sunday so they can dress nice and have pictures taken for Formal night. BBB books up pretty fast.

Just a thought...

Ok, Got BBB for the girls on Sunday, in prep for formal night.
Got Palo Brunch for 11am on Monday :)
Finally, have Remy for Dinner on Semi-Formal night (Thursday)

I can't add my parents to my reservation for brunch and dinner, however, as it says they are not within their booking window. How hard will it be to add them when silver cruisers can start booking? Our last cruise with them I could add them at the same time...very frustrating!

:yay::woohoo::banana:So excited!!!!!!!!:banana::woohoo::yay:

Glad to hear you got almost everything you wanted.

Parents: I am guessing you were both silver at the time. The rule of tiers is you only need one person in the stateroom regardless of age for everyone in the stateroom to qualify for that tier.

For instance, let's say your husband and you are gold and your parents are silver. If you put your husband in one stateroom, you in the other, and link rooms then everybody is gold.

The are pluses and minuses to this arrangement. It allows you to book everybody at 105 days, but maybe the charging privileges and settling the stateroom bill becomes a little more complicated.

Your husband's luggage would be delivered to the room he is in, but not a big deal. Where you sleep is immaterial to DCL, they just care about the ship's manifest and life boat capacity. Which reminds me, his muster station would be according to his room.

The one possible scenario that can be a problem is if your parents cancel, you may have issues moving your husband back to your stateroom based on life boat capacity. Adding a 4th or 5th to a room late may not be an option.

Brunch & Dinner: it would be based on availability. If there is room you should be able to add them easily at the 90 day mark.

Argh!!! We were linked to my BFF's cabin and her bday wasn't updated. Because the data was incomplete, we couldn't book activities at opening. I had to work Saturday morning, so DH called DCL to figure out the problem. We got it all worked out, but no cabanas by the time I could get in and check things out. Did anyone get one?

Glad I saw the note later about BBB...I had forgot to look for an appointment for my DD.

Happy 100 days until we sail!

Doing the double-digit dance tomorrow!

Woohoo!
:cool1:
