June 28, 2014 ~ Fantasy ~ Eastern Caribbean

Thank you, does anyone have FE info so we can sign up? We have 11 people to add.

We have been on 2 Disney Cruises and never participated in the fish extender exchange. We heard about it from a friend and would love to participate! It will be my husband and I - Sally and Mark and our two girls Madison (12) and Mia (9)

Thanks

Sally

20, wow, that's a super small list. Well, we have another few months The smallest list we've been a part of was still 75+. On that list we had 29 rooms, so I'm sure other lists will pop up soon. I wish we had time to start one, but life is just too busy.....when someone does, we will jump in.

I should have said 20 staterooms. We have 74 individuals participating.

I will keep the second FE list. I've added a tab to the spreadsheet for the other group. I've named them Red and Gold (DCL colors), but that can be changed because I realize that's not very creative of me.

Here's the link to the list. I'll try to get caught up by this evening.

Please take a look to see if the information is right. I made it so that anyone can put a comment on it. If you see something missing/wrong, right click on the cell and add a comment.

Thank you John for taking on the FE lists :littleangel: We look forward to the exchange each time!

BelenRN, Katiedara and lisany63 - I sent you guys a PM so that we could start our girls chatting.

We are at the 125 day mark as of today!!:cool1: So much to do before then it's making my head spin!

Just an FYI - ebates has a deal right now that gives you 20% cash back on activity purchases via Orbitz. Disney tickets count as an activity purchase so you can save 20% but you would need to purchase soon as I don't know how long the deal will last. There is a thread about it on the budget board.

We are officially PIFed (Paid In Full)!! :cool1:

Our online reservation booking window opens on Thursday @ midnight. Will grab a Palo brunch on July 3rd. Excursions will probably be the Seaworld Explorer (St. Maarten) and Trunk Bay (St. Thomas). Probably just chill on CC.

Jeff

Getting excited about this cruise... Guess it is time to pay for it!

Does anyone have any info about the 4th of july? I am wondering if they will do an additional night of fireworks, or do you think they will move the pirate night to the 4th? I want to avoid scheduling Palo on pirate night.

Thanks for the help!:grouphug:

The pirate party is a weather permitting event. It is typically on Wednesday, but can be moved up or back depending on weather. I don't think they would move it to Friday, but I could see them doing fireworks on the 4th too.

We were in the Caribbean over the 4th in 2012 and they did not move fireworks to that night nor did they do an extra set for that evening. I was kind of disappointed that they didn't, but they did have a special show in the atrium that evening if I'm remembering correctly.

The last time we were on DCL for July 4th was 2003. Interestingly enough the week fell exactly the same, we were on CC on the 4th as we will be this year.

This was prior to the pirate party so no fireworks then, I actually don't remember them shooting off fireworks at all, but I do remember the atrium celebration which was pretty cool. They released confetti and balloons, kind of like a New Years celebration.

Since I normally get up at 5:30 AM I won't be staying up till midnight to book Palo and excursions tonight. I will try to get up a little earlier than usually to get our Palo brunch. Will let know how it goes.

(Need to get a new countdown clock, apparently stuck at 125 days, should read 121). :)

Nevermind, countdown clock seems to be working now.

Woke up @ 5:00 AM, a little earlier than normal, to book Palo and two excursions. I didn't want to stay up until midnight, thought waking earlier made more sense.

The online registration option wasn't working, but the "add activities" worked fine which is all I cared about anyway so in about 5 minutes I had all 3 booked, then went back to bed for a little bit.

The website was much quicker and easier to use then in years past.

Midnight EDT. Good luck.

As a follow-up, the online registration start time is based on midnight in the eastern time zone. Several years ago it used to be western which meant the eastern folks had to stay up / get up at 3:00 AM if they wanted first crack at booking. Very happy they changed that. :thumbsup2

Since it now eastern that does mean those folks in the western time zone can book at 9 PM the day before. Here's the list for each tier:

Platinum: (more than 10 cruises) 120 days - Feb 28th
Gold (more than 5 cruises): 105 days - March 15th
Silver (1 - 5 cruises) 90 days - March 30th
First time cruisers: 75 days - April 14th

Jeff

P.S. I am not on FB or I would post the info there too.

112 days and counting :cool1: Getting a few things in place as far as reservations, etc and it's feeling more and more real each day:goodvibes. How is everyone else coming along?
