We are JFK to Barcelona on Tuesday with a stop in Paris. We depart around 6:00 pm.

The Magic is almost to Malta -- soon it will be coming to Barcelona for all of us!

At the Houston airport where our original flight to Newark was delayed 3 hrs which would have put us in to Newark after the plane to BCN took off.

We had a full flight. We wait listed for the next flight and didn't make that. We are now waiting for a flight that will put us into Newark 10 minutes before our BCN flight leaves. Crossing our fingers we ever see our luggage again!

But the lesson of the day---
As they were calling people for the wait list, a family with reservations came to the front from perhaps the food court as they had various drink cups in their hands and tried to board the plane 8 minutes before scheduled take off. Their seats had already been given away. They had been in the terminal and thought that since they checked in their seats were held forever so they were in no hurry.

They have an international connection in Europe as well. With all the flight thru out the day being wait listed the will have a tuff time making their flight.

My key learning: boarding times are not a suggestion!

A prime example of why never to fly in day of.. Flight in Atlanta delayed.. 1 hr sitting on the plane, now deplaned.. Waiting for new plane

Sat on the Tarmac in Newark 45 minutes waiting for a gate to open.

Rushed in only to find our flight to BCN has been delayed as well-at least an hour.

We are sitting here now waiting to board the rest of the passengers.

Saw a Castaway Club backpack in line in front of us.

But it looks as if we are finally headed to BCN!

Just an FYI if you haven't gotten to BCN yet. We took the Metro yesterday from Terminal 1. We got in at 4:30 and lugged our luggage from Terminal 1 on a bus to Terminal 2 to the train to Sant station, from Track 14 to Track 3 to our station. It took us until 7 PM to get to our hotel. Long story short, take a cab (if your not trying to save $.)

Great day on the HOHO, can´t wait to board tomorrow. Sitting at the Apple store at the West end of Las Ramblas charging our phones on their computers, lol. Didn´t want to bring an adapter (buy one) for a day and a half so we just were hoping to run in to somewhere that had a USB plug in to charge the 'ol iPhones. Hope everyone had a great day in Barcelona!

We have hired a guide for the day in Dubrovnik, but other than that, I haven't done a lot of reading. My friend says it's a great city to just hang out in and relax, especially after full days in Venice.

I saw on one of the cruise timetable sites that it looks like just the Magic will be in La Spezia.
