I saw where The Lone Ranger with Johnny Depp comes out July 3rd. Sure hope they show it on the ship since it is a Disney film.

I would guess a premEAR at sea!! Awesome!!

We have sailed twice when Disney had premiered their movies on land and both times they were also premiered on board.

They PremEARed Cars 2 at 12:01 am when we were in Alaska. My cabin was directly over the theatre, and we might as well have gone even though we had an early excursion the next morning. Earplugs were useless, and the sound system literally shook the bed. Can't say I'm excited to repeat that experience, but I have a forward deck 5 cabin again.

We've been onboard before for a couple of premieres. Being that this is a Johnny Depp release I definitely won't miss it. I'm hoping to see Oz onboard as well.

I have a couple of questions. Actually I probably have a dozen but I'll start with these two. Since this is our first Disney cruise everything is new to us. Also it will be our first time to Europe.

1. Do you bring your own beach towels for the swimming pool? They will take so much room in the suitcases but I wasn't sure what Disney provides.

2. Does Disney provide a phone so people on board can get in contact with some of their travelers that get off at the port? My daughter thought she read somewhere that each stateroom is provided with 2 phones for this purpose.

DCL provides pool towels located in lockers next to the pools. The phones are intended to be used on board. I have never tried taking them ashore, but I suspect they don't work out of range of the ship.

My daughter thought she read somewhere that each stateroom is provided with 2 phones for this purpose.Yes, each room gets two wave phones. They only work on board or off the ship at castaway cay as they installed a tower there so the phone can work off the ship. Once someone gets off the phones will cease to work anywhere else.

Don't forget your U.S. phone will not work in Europe unless you upgrade your chip. There are phone companies that you can buy a phone for $30.00 and pay as you use much like a Tracfone in the U.S. We have a "Eurobuzz" (company's name) that we use when we travel to Europe and that has worked well for us.

It really depends on your US cellular carrier and phone you have. I have ATT and and iPhone, I can use it in Europe without a problem as it's a world phone. In the end check with your particular carrier to see if your phone is compatible with Europe's networks. I can tell you that most of ATT's phone are compatible.........

Yes and it depends on your phone and plan. Some get to Europe and say.." what do you mean my phone doen't work?...It's brand new..."

You can "rent" a phone from Verizon that will work. They send you everything you need with you. Then you can switch to a plan for Europe minimal charge. I think I spent $25 maybe $30 total for our trip in 2011

We have Verizon and that is what we do
Can't imagine going anywhere without a cell phone. We just use it to keep in touch with each other so I can shop or look at things that the rest of my family doesn't have patience for.

I plan on checking with them to see what our issues will be. I know I have read about people having an issue with roaming charges and to put the phone in airplane mode (I think that is what it was called). I have to look into it. It just all seems so overwhelming with all there is to check into.

My plan is to turn off ALL data as its extremely expensive. Their international data plans are VERY limiting in terms of amount of data allowed.

Thanks for your input. I'm sure that is probably what we will do also. I'm not as up on all the terminology as my kids are. I still have an old old razor phone but I believe I'll get the iphone5 in a month or two. Just one more thing to learn.

I take it that Disney doesn't offer free wifi on the ship. If not I was hoping it wouldn't be too expensive. Otherwise I guess we will also be looking for wifi hotspots.
