June 27 2010 5 Night Bahamas - Double Dip

I have not given my stateroom to the Carlons. We are 7500 and 7502. Thanks for putting things together. The excitement is building. Just 17 days!

Since I do not have enough posts to post a link, go to the following thread:

5 night navigators?

I don't know. I have to be at the airport by 5am and I live over an hour away from the airport. I'm flying in cruise day. I may be wearing my Pajamas! LOL Or a "Thank goodness we made the cruise" look on my face!

But I'll look for you all!

^^^ Now we are only missing Stampinggoddes's stateroom number. Hope she checks in with us soon.

New to all of this. Sounds like you are all experts. Cruising 5 night on June 27. DD-13, DD-11, DS-18 months. Any helpful tips?

Going out of my skin crazy waiting. Looked over the 5 night navigators, and as always too much to see and do. Picked up the DIS colors(Mickey Heads) at the home depot to wear on our shirts, great idea. When r you flying out SUJO, out of BWI.

This board is really good if you want to have an idea how things work before you board. We went on two disney cruises prior to ever being on the board and they were great. Cruising with Disney is easy. Don't worry you wont miss a thing and you will have one of the best vacations of your life.

Couldn't agree more with HoosierDaddy. This is our third cruise as well. To get an idea of what is offered on the cruise entertainment wise look up the thread "5 Night Navigators". The navigators are placed in your room every night for the next day and list all the activities on the ship by hour and by age group as well as movie listings. Bring an appetite and lots of sunscreen.

We are heading out late on Saturday due to a swim meet in the morning. When are you all heading out?

Welcome - You are going to have a great time.

Here are tips that I can share - Does anyone else have any tips to share?

1. Pack light - store your suitcases under the bed
2. Bring a "over the door" shoe organizer to store all your toiletries and little items on the bathroom door - it really makes for a more organized room.
3. Read the Dis Boards - it is great to "know" people before you get on the ship and participate in the Fish Extender (FE) - it is fun.
4. Bring your own alcohol - it's much cheaper ( this is a tip from my DH) :cool1:
5. Bring binoculars - there are great views from the balconies or the deck.

I would like to do the FE, sounds like fun, but I'm a bit hesitant to post our cabin info. Is there any way to get the information to the organizer without posting on board?

Thanks for the room update. We will add it to the list and will post an updated list this weekend.

Thanks again!

If it's not too late, please add us to the fish extenders.

Thanks for putting this together. I've never done it before but it sounds like lots of fun. Super excited and counting down the days.

Here are a few things I have brought over the past few cruises that have really helped out:

1) Clothespins with a hanger hook (used to hang suits to dry on the line in the bathroom or other places in the room if the bathroom line is full)
2) Glow stick for bathroom at night (lights up the bathroom so it is not so dark and just throw it away in the morning)
3) Ziploc bags of various sizes (great for storing things or putting snacks in for excursions)
4) Envelope of $1 bills (easy for kids to use for tipping room service)
5) Collapsible laundry bag (keeps dirty clothes together in one place)
6) White board for door (used to leave notes to kids or family members when going somewhere on the ship)
7) Door decorations (magnets for the door make it easy to find your room and makes it festive)
8) Bonine (helps with any sea sickness and doesn't make you drowsy)

Thank you for all the tips. We are super excited. Ordered our FE and working on door magnets. Now I need to get my FE gifts organized and my bags packed. So much to do and so little time. :yay:

^^^ Welcome to the Disboards! You'll have a great time on the Wonder! We cruised with our infant son when he was only 3 months old. You'll have a lot of fun with the 18 mo. old on board. If you need diapering supplies, be sure to check the DCL 'babies travel light' program. See here half way down through the page: http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/planning-center/gifts-and-amenities/

Btw, I highly recommend Flounders Reef for him when you need a little R&R of your own (like going to the Vista Spa or a meal at Palo). :thumbsup2

We have eight in our party going - 4 kids - DD13, nephew 13 and twin nephews 10. The boys were just told yesterday of the trip. First time, they are so excited. Can't believe it's almost here!!!:yay:
