Finally got the last payment for the cruise made, it's DONE!!!

Had to cancel air ressies with DCL and go it alone since they couldn't get us to Barcelona a few days early. So excited, can't wait for excursions booking and etc.!!!!

I booked an apartment preceding the cruise for three days, hoping it's as good looking as the pictures!

I am booking 3 independent tours Naples (Vesuvius, Pompei, Ravello) Rome, & Pisa & Luca. These are still going to be expensive. By the time you add in admisions & tour guides it is around 700 Euro so I am averaging 150$ per person for 6.

RJAYL - How did your Palo/excursion booking go?

I booked for 7PM at Sardinia (we are leaving port at 5PM) and the Brunch for 11:30 on the last Sea Day, though now that I am thinking about it I might make that earlier!

I have pretty much booked flounders for my youngest at night (so we can see the entertainment), though I have not booked to leave her while we are on some shore excursions yet debating on leaving her while in Palermo,Marseilles & Villa France!

The good thing about being in the suites is that you have 15 days of exclusivity, then 15 days with the repeat cruisers before general booking.

I have not booked any excursions yet and may not untill the cruise most are always available and when you pre book they charge you as soon as you board!

Where did you find a private apartment to book?

I saw a few mentions of BCNInternet.com and looked over the website a few times. You can locate an apartment by a map. We got one overlooking the Arc D' Triomph. I also researched by google any mentions/recommendations of the business and another cruise site. All seemed good and my transaction booking the room went right thru without a hitch. The apartment appears to be blocked off the for days I requested and my payment went thru the bank ok. 155 Euro each for three nights, 20% down payment. Seemed very reasonable considering I would have had to book two hotel rooms for four people, expensive!

That is the only recommendation I can give as I don't know anyone personally who has stayed there or been there myself, YET!

But I'm really looking forward to it!

Made the final payment today! Kids don't know yet that we're going to DLP before the cruise. It's DD's HS graduation present! Not ever having been to Europe, we're sticking with DCL excursions. Seen lots of talk about private tours but am not comfortable doing it without experience. 103 days until the cruise! Can't wait.

Welcome we were a talkative bunch, but have gotten real quite as of late!

I am taking my family to DLP before the cruise as well.

There is a website that has not been updated in a long time check it out, I cannot guarantee who is still going but its a reference tool!

We could make them anytime according to the DLP Threads reservations can be had the day of!

However we could make them anywhere between May 1st & June 1st Once we have a head count!

We're on the same cruise as you and we are planning on getting to Barcelona early too!

Are children are DD -14 and DS-12; but they both will be having a birthday on board the ship!

I'm so excited as this is our very first cruise!

I've just read through a lot of the postings on this thread. You all seem to have a lot of fun! I was just wondering if anyone was planning on dressing up for the pirate party?
We're not sure when to try to plan on Palos since we don't know what's happening on which day. Does anyone know if there will be fireworks on the 4th of July? Thanks! Carol Lynn

(I do warn you, though, I'm schlepping them on all the tours with me, so they won't spend as much time in the clubs as in past cruises-for us, a big part of this trip is to show the kids Europe.)

We're still going straight to the ship in Barcelona using Disney Transportation.

My family & I are going to DLP before the cruise (Planning Cruise dinner at Walts with TDC Nala & whoever else is interested) & get into Barcelona 2 days early (so we can do a tour) I also will be schlepping(sic) my children around.

At this point I have booked 3 private tours Barcelona, Naples & Rome. I am having problems with the private tour companies for Florence (this may be because of the port or because I want to bring all of my kids ) so I will book Disney Pisa tour as back up at this time!

I will be doing some sort of beach thing in Sardinia & The Leaning tower in Pisa. I am still undecided for the French Ports (Sacre Blu)

Just guessing that the best time to meet at Walt's would be the night of the 23rd or anytime on the 24th. I will probably be conked out for much of the

I'm doing pretty much any excursion that has the words "food" or "wine" in the title.

We're planning to book full day tours in Naples, Rome, Pisa. We're going to try to book 1/2 day tours in Sicily and Marseilles - as these two days the kids have birthdays. In Sardina we want to book the LaCinta Beach. We have to wait since this is our first cruise.

Has anyone heard which night the formal or pirate night is going to be?

No already booked my tour of rome for 6 with private guide for less! Already have a 360 Modena Spyder, have F430 Spyder on order!
