June 26, 2011 5 Nights on the Disney Dream!!!!

I am graduating from college this december I hope lol. I told my dh that my cruise is my present. LOL Good luck hope to see you there.:cool1::cool1:

Good luck to you too!! I think I'm graduating a quarter early, so I'll probably work to save money for souvenirs!!! (Or student loans haha) I hope to see you and a lot of other DISers on the ship - I think it will be so much fun!!!!

Soo excited I found this thread!!! We are joining yall for our 10th wedding anniversary (June 30th)!! This is our first cruise EVER!! Feels a little wierd since I know nothing about cruising!! It will be me, dh, ds (5 at cruise time), and dd (3 at cruise time). We have never booked anything so far in advance! We are in a 9B stateroom! I am trying to do everything myself since I have the time. Hopefully I won't regret that later!:lmao: Next on the list is to get passports. We live in south GA so we will be driving to the boat. It seems so wierd to be so excited about a boat that isn't even finished yet!! Looking forward to everyones tips and we are definitely participating with the Fish Extenders (Once I figure out what they are);)!!!

Welcome Aboard!!!

Congrats on booking your first cruise. I'm sure once you get a taste it won't be your last
What a great way to celebrate your 10TH!

Do we know how many people are going to do the fish extenders yet? :cool1::cool1:

And we set sail in 67 weeks from today :banana::banana::dance3:

So I count 142+ sailors! If i do not have your travel party info correct (who is traveling and kids ages at time of sailing), please let me know and I will update it. Also, the 'star' after your name and writing in pink means you have said you would like to participate in the FEs. If I haven't put a *after your name and and you are not in pink and you would like to participate, let me know this as well and I will add this.
Also, if everyone would like to start sending me PM's with email addresses, room number, cruisers names, etc, I will put this info into a spreadsheet to email to everyone! I am going to post all this info again in a new post in hopes everyone sees it!

Mr. Ostwalt, would you put a link to this post, #144, in your first post so everyone knows where the updated list is? Thanks :cutie:

I know we are going to have a fantastic time!:cloud9::cloud9:

:goodvibesHey there!

My DH asked me what I would like for my 40th birthday (turning 40 in June 2011) and I said, "A Disney Cruise, of course!" We recently booked this cruise and are so looking forward to it! This will be our third Disney Cruise. I haven't updated my profile in a while, but we cruised the 3 day Wonder in May 2008 and then the 4 day Wonder in May 2009 - in fact we were the FIRST FAMILY on board on Mother's Day 2009 - what an awesome day that was!!!

We will be cruising with our DD (just turning 13 at the time of the cruise) and our 2 DSs (who will be 11 and 9 at cruise time).

What is the fish thing about? Is it new?

I'm looking forward to looking forward to this awesome - 2 stops at castaway cay - dreamy cruise!!!!

WELCOME KFAMILYLOVES DISNEY! Glad you joined us!

The fish extenders is something that was started by DISboard members some time ago. They are holders that hang from the fish outside your stateroom door. Each day, members of our group give little presents to others in their fish extenders. My family participated last time and it was a ton of fun! A lot of people give stuff from their area ( we gave maple syrup). There are some great threads on here explaining it better and with gift ideas and instructions on how to make one.

I will add you to the list of cruisers! Let me know if you would like to do the fish extenders, too!

Every week Meyerwerft (the ones building Dream) puts a web cam shot of the indoor dry dock. The Dream has been the bottom picture for-some time now..

Not sure what will happen once it leaves.. I hope Disney does something like Royal Carribien did when Oasis crossed the Atlantic... (they had video of the Captain reporting from the bridge how the voyage was going then they showed an aspect of the ship)

So we just got back from our Spring Break trip to Disneyland - 4 days at the Happiest Place on Earth! :yay: It was wonderful even if the crowds were a little bigger than I was expecting. We still had a great time. Lots of rides every day, and my daughter (age 5) shamed me into trying Spash Mountain. And yes, I did end up liking it enough to go on it a second time.

I keep telling myself that this is one trip down and only a couple more until the cruise. If I looked at the actual number of days it would seriously depress me!:rotfl:

So I got a temporary Mickey fix which will last until the July trip. Then it's the long wait until June 2011!

Lots of trips to Disney - Now that sounds like a great way to make the time go by faster :thumbsup2. Welcome Home!

Any interest in creating a Facebook Group also for our sailing??

Yes, I would be interested.

I saw what the problem It was listed as "closed group" so you had to be invited... but what is strange is Chrystal and Rise got in no problem... .

I put it as a public group..
