Wow!! I thought this morning, for the first time, "our vacation is next week!"

How amazing!!!!
Howard and I finished up with Special Olympics Summer Games yesterday. I was at the university from 6:30 (to get breakfast and coffee for the Air National Guard, who provide operations support); Howard came down at about 8:30 with Jen and Andy, and we all worked our bottoms off until about 5:30. The event was a huge success--I think we had over 1000 athletes, and nearly that many coaches and volunteers. So my committee did about 2000 lunches and about 3000 servings hospitality tent refreshments. It was so much fun, but, boy, do I have a funky tan with raccoon eyes from my sunglasses (and squint lines between my eyebrows) and stripes from my shorts and socks and a chairperson golf shirt that was 2 sizes too big, leaving stripes on my lower arms.

I'll defer to Laura and Roberta to tell me how to remedy that at the tanning salon--tanning lotion on the lighter parts? or sunscreen on the darker parts? and what to do about my dark brown nose and all those new freckles? UGH!!
So, we still do not have the suitcases out

, but my niece is not arriving today, so I still have tonight to clear off the guest room bed.

I keep thinking of things I need to do and just took care of putting my in-laws names on our blockbuster rental account. also finally got a new tv/vcr for our bedroom so they'll have that. Also created a medical treatment authorization for my inlaws for the kids, and gathered emergency vet information in case anything comes up with Cali.
And, yes, I went to a hairdresser supply place and bought small shampoo & conditioner bottles that are a bit bigger than travel size but smaller than my quart size bottles

, so that Howard and I can take our own shampoos and conditioners. I love the ones in the cabin, but they leave my hair too soft and fuzzy. And everyone knows the caribbean sun and water just torment your hair.

The small packs of minnie lotion are great for my office staff--just a way to say thanks for anything you did to make it easiser for me to get out of here or so I'd have anything less to do when I get back. They love them
Well, back to work. I have to sort about 2600 pages of pre-trial documents into 59 contention categories, so I am stuck in my office on this gorgeous Sunday. UGH!!!!
Talk to you all later.
OOPS!!! One last thing-- received new info for the cruiser list in 8 emails today. will update and resend in the next couple of days.
