Sorry for the million posts today. Trying to post all my thoughts I had over the weekend, but wanted to keep them separate so they wouldn't get overlooked (and I'm trying to post between other tasks I must complete)....


So my last 2 thoughts that I wondered what everyone thinks. Just from scanning around the boards, I noticed some groups do this....

1. Would you like to plan a meet up the first day of the cruise to actually see everyone?

2. Would you guys like a facebook group page? Would that be easier to be active, visit, get to know each other?

I've only been on one cruise, but the meet thread for that one was much more active.

FB group is created......I've made it private so that it will only be us...My facebook profile is facebook.com/ksloane. If you friend me, I'll immediately join you to this group as well.....just let me know that you are from disboards so I know to accept you and put you in the group.

Speaking of Fish Extenders....Even though we had a really, really cute one from our first cruise, I was inspired by recent posts about duct tape fish extenders on the forum, and my daughter LOVES duct tape so.....we made a new one for this summer....We're going to add our names to the pockets on the top still, but I haven't had time to go pick up some cute alphabet stickers yet....But I had to share!!

Now we'll start on gifts over the next couple weeks...

I would have never thought of it if not for dis. I made our last one the traditional fabric way, and I really love it, but when I saw the duct tape one, I knew we'd have to do it as my daughter is currently obsessed with duct tape projects.

Hi I tried to friend you so I could join but there was no option to request you as a friend when I went right to your page. Then when I did a search you didn't even come up. Do you have your privacy set up where no one can request you or did I do something wrong?

That's odd. I can't get to FB at work, but will check tonight, but I received a friend request overnight so I would think I could be found...

You can try searching by name? Kimberly Sloane...

But I'll figure it out this afternoon....

Have not been on the dis for a while, but i see this is a much slower thread than on my other cruises. two cruises had face book pages and it was a good way to get to know everyone- so I think that's a great idea. my parents will be in the room next to us and my sister in law is going too. Will have to check with them about FE. The concierge when we were on the Dream recommended doing the VIP tour. If there are enough we might consider it. Had planned to do the keys to the Kingdom tour since brandon will finally be 16. We get to WDW often enough that I don't want to waste a day just waiting in a few lines.
we are driving to wilkes-barre to meet my parents and then getting a service to drive us to NYC.
Would love to be able to see the Fantasy christened in NYC but have no way to get invited--boohoo

Hopefully the thread will pick up. Is the cruise full? I have not checked.

I tried by name too and the ones that came up I don't think they are you because its not the same picture as when I put in the facebook.com/ksloane. The only thing it let me do was subscribe to your public updates. I'll try again and see what I can figure out!

Yes...this group is a lot quieter than my first group as well....

I posted the link to the FB group in my previous post....if that doesn't work, I'll spend some more time and actually figure out why no one can not friend me.

I think that might work, I asked to join the group. I liked the way you wrote "MAGICal" : )
