June 22 2008 Magical Mexican Riviera Cruise

Is this for the 4 day Wonder on June 22, 2008? If so, we are on board. Just got off the Magic Eastern. Will be us (4 DW, DD 13 then, DS,11 then), my brother-in-law (5 w/ twin boys and a girl) and DMIL (Disney Mother in law).

Looking forward to seeing the Wonder again.

If you want more posts, monitor the main threads and watch for those on this cruise and send them a link. Also change thread title to have "wonder" and June 22, 2008 and 6/22/2008 all in title so search can pick up thread.

We are Cat 6. First three Verandas on port side (did that as last cruise we were second veranada and first had smoker --- yuck... ruined the Veranda completely.).

How do you get the suites? I wasn't sure it was worth the extra. the Cat 6 are nice and we have connecting for DMIL and DBIL.

Opps. Thread confusion :confused3

With the California cruises departing on Sundays that does mean the date alone does not distinguish between the Magic and the Wonder. Dixieslanding I do believe all the other posts on this thread where for the 7 day Magic cruise in California.....at least mine where.

I do agree, we should put the Magic and/or California in the thread title, but only the thread originator can do that.

We are on the Magic too, usually the Magic has left on a Sunday, so I guess before you didn't need the date to distinguish--maybe someone can add to the title.

Sorry you aren't with us--we aren't hearing from many people on this thread.

Hello from Michigan,
My family just transfered our reservations to this cruise. I agree we should add Magic to the thread name. I think the ship is pretty full :) We booked adjoining category 7 cabins for me, DH, and DSs who will both be 17 when we cruise. We would have liked adjoining cat 8's but they were not available. Anyone else with teens?

Can't wait!!!

Teresa

My son will be 19 by the time of the cruise next year.

Glad to see someone joining us--this thread is pretty lonely!!

Is your son excited to be able to do the 'adult' things? Our sons want to go on a cruise for their senior spring break because they will be able to go to the quiet cove pool and attend 'adult' shows.

Can you tell where DH and I hang out?

We are booked in a cat 7 with the funky veranda because a category 8 connecting wasn't available. We are also waitlisted for early dining. My natives will be mighty restless by late seating. (DH especially!)

Cold day here in Michigan. Happy Sunday!

On other cruises on DCL he met a lot of teens his age. We went on a 4 night on Dec. He was one week shy of 18, and the friend with him was 19, so they went to the adult shows and spent some time in Diversions, but didn't really meet anyone. That might have been because it was a shorter cruise, or because of the time of the cruise.

They still had a good time though. His friend doesn't sit out--or Blake would have enjoyed the adult pool--the family pool is kind of scary. I wih they had more for that age.

You will find several places for adults depending on what you enjoy. A lot of people hang out in Cove Cafe amd Rockin Bar D.

Bumping us back up a bit. Is anyone else going to DL before the cruise? We figured if we are flying to CA from Michigan we might as well stay a few days at DL.

Beautiful weather this weekend here :)

TK

We probably will, but haven't even thought about when to fly in and where to stay yet--would like to hear from anyone who did it last time

Does anyone have experience on whether or not their is transportation from DL to the port?

Bumping us up to see if any other DIS families will be joining us. The thread for the 'live' Med cruise is already 13 pages long and then just embarked yesterday! Six days at sea would be sWeEt!:thumbsup2

I don't even want to know what page you found us on---wonder why there are so few dis people on this cruise.

Thanks for bringing the thread back.

Wow, I had to use the search function to find this thread... ;)

It's official - we're booked for the June 22nd sailing - Mexican Riviera cruise. This is our first cruise and we're so excited !!!:yay:

I agree with the other posters that MAGIC should be added to the title, maybe even something about Mexico or Mexican Riviera, too. What do you guys think !?

Welcome aboard! I think the original poster needs to rename the thread, but I'll send a PM to one of the moderators and see what we can do.

AHIBIRD, do you have any family sailing with you?
Teresa

I sent a PM to our thread starter to see if we can change the title of our thread to 'June 22 2008 Magical Mexican Riveara Cruise'. We'll see what they think.

Anyone know if there is transportation from DL to the port?

Take care,
TK

Thanks for the welcome, Teresa.

Our crew for the cruise consists of myself, DH, DS (9), and my mom.

I'm trying to talk my cousin and her family into joining us -- it's only a matter of time before they sign on :goodvibes.

Bird,
Your first cruise???? How exciting!! This will be our forth Disney Cruise with another one April of 2009 for our boy's senior spring break trip. If money was no object, we'd go more often.

We started with a 4 day NYE on the Wonder, then splurged on a fabulous 10-day cruise over Christmas in 2004, and last December took a week's cruise on the Magic over NYE.

We've done the Eastern and Western now and are really excited that our favorite ship is going to Mexico!

DH is already talking about getting on the maiden voyage of one of the new ships in 2010 or 2011. What a good man I have :hippie: :hippie:

Aren't we lucky to have great men who share (okay, in my case "tolerate" might be a better word ;)) our love of Disney ?! :thumbsup2

When doing our booking this week, I was surprised to see how full the ship is already. I guess that says a lot about how many people enjoy Disney cruises...

yes, the ship was so full that we HAD to get staterooms with navigator verandas :thumbsup2 to have adjoining cabins with the boys. We were spoiled on our last trip and had two cabins.

Teresa
