June 2017 Disneyland Check In!!!

It's interesting to me how much people plan for DL.
I went for the first time in June 2013 and had no plan and found I really didn't need one.
This year I've planned things a little because now I know what to expect from DL but really all I've done is make an ADR and I'm hoping for MAXPASS. Basically I'll just get to the parks at RD and do whatever I feel like.
It's not at all how I plan or execute my plan at WDW which I actually really enjoy the big planning process.

I haven't packed or even thought about it too much yet... but I did buy ears from Etsy for my daughter and me! There's a good chance that they'll be delivered today! This is our 3rd annual mother daughter Disneyland trip, so over the past couple of years I've begun to figure out what we really need for our trips and have most of it already. Just need to figure out what we want to use as an autograph book this year. The plainer the better since I use them in our scrapbooks.

We don't plan too much. I did make ADR for the two days we'll be there because I have no patience when it comes to dining. We can never decide where to go (the decision making process has potential to turn south) and I'm not a fan of the times we've had to wander aimlessly with our trays looking for an open table or stalking people who look like they might be leaving soon. This way, decisions have been made in advance and we know we'll have a place to sit. We usually go non-stop, so this is our time to rest. My daughter (15) is imploring me to not plan and to just let things happen... so I'm trying to just gather knowledge vs. schedule things out.

16 days left for me! So close yet so far! I will probably start packing the Weds before the 4th as I have long work days and won't be able to on the couple of days leading up to the day I leave.

We leave on the 4th also :mickeyjum

More planning this time.....general, not specific, since taking DGD and expecting it to be crowded.
Only made one dining reservation for her.
She is getting excited

One of the reasons we planned on late June was all the advertising was that the river, pirates lair, train, etc would be open in Summer. So really disappointed everything will still be down. I also would love to use Max pass. The thought of not having to run through tomorrowland bobbing, weaving and getting stuck behind strollers, hoards of people and often times getting literally trapped back there, just to get a fast pass for Space Mountain sounds too good to be true.

Most of the rides we go on don't have FP at all so hopefully if (annoying) FPMax is up and running, it doesn't bother us too much.

I am crossing my fingers that Tom Sawyer Island will open before my trip. It would be a nice place for my 3 year old to run around, I think.

No packing yet. But I am making a million different lists. We leave in just over a month. I am getting more excited but still really nervous.

We'll probably do MaxPass if it is up, only because it's a cheaper option than the one week PhotoPass we had planned on getting (two people, two days in the parks $40 vs. $78). Not sure I feel like figuring out the FP side of it though.

I'm sitting in a hotel in Buffalo NY because dd graduates tomorrow. She wanted a trip to cali with her bf instead of party for graduation.

I got jealous when they added DL for a days at the end so we will be there late 6/15-18. Yes we are flying ny-ca for a weekend. Do what ya got to do to have a dl trip with your girl while she still yours and not marrried with children.

Dd and I were there for our first last year for her 21st. This time I really can't wait, I KNOW I will love it. So many trips to WDW but DL is special.

Happy planning ! We all be there soon!

Hey there!
Where is DD graduating from?
You're in my area. (I live in Lockport)

3 weeks from today we'll be settling in for our start in the parks the next day. I can't wait for some sunshine and warm weather!!!

I did little bit of shopping, but both my husband and my son need to be taken to the shops. No other packing done yet but we have over a month

Any info on how is the free wifi in the parks test going? To be honest I will consider maxpass for sure if we can use free wifi

Same here! We arrive mid-day on the 10th... but given it's a grad night, we'll wait until the next day to go to the parks.

Hubby and I have APs and don't mind a busy Saturday night in the parks. But hubby's pass is blocked out so the parks will have to wait until Sunday. But that just means we can get to bed early and get checked into to our GCV room in time for EMH on Sunday morning.

i'm at the 2 week mark! I still haven't started packing, but I'll probably start later this week. I also have a 4 day weekend coming up because of Memorial Day, so I may do it then. Excited! I bit the bullet and reserved Blue Bayou. This will be my first time, mainly because of the expense, but I have $50 in Disney gift cards from work, so I'll use them. I also made a hair appointment for next week to get my hair colored Ariel red.

I ordered our US SIM cards so that hubby and I can have some data in the parks. Thinking I'm going to get the data and text only package as no one ever calls us and we don't call each other. On the off chance we're not together texting will be fine.
