**June 2016 check in**

I haven't planned our day by day yet either I know the middle of the week is going to be our beach day and the pirate dinner day, we arrive early on Sat so I am trying to decide what to do that day I had considered getting a car and going to the beach for a little while that day but our plane is scheduled for 11:10AM we are taking Disneyland Express from SNA and unfortunately I don't think we will make the 11:30 bus so we will probably have to sit and wait til 12:30pm so Im kind of thinking maybe just DtD and eating dinner somewhere, I think Newport beach is like 20 mins away but by the time we get to the hotel and get the car I don't know if it would be worth it.

We fly in from Sea to SNA and will arrive at 10:30am on the 22nd. I'm thinking of booking Lansky for transportation so we can stop at the store. If not then I will have VONS deliver some food but mostly for water. We are going to hang out in DtD and have dinner at Goofy's. Since we will get up so early for our flight we will call it a early night to get up bright and early on Thurs.

Surprising my amazing DH and DS with a quick 2 night 1 day at DL on June 8. We will be there again in November to see the Christmas celebration.
I booked a Disneyland view for Thursday night at the Hilton, but what are the chances that there are fireworks on a Thursday night the first week of June?

I could be wrong but I think there are fireworks every night, and I am also pretty sure June will be at full schedule

I haven't planned much yet ...we have a VERY early flight, I think we land at SNA around 9:30. We are renting a car so we will head to our favorite breakfast place in Laguna Nigel after we leave the airport. We will probably drive down to Laguna Beach after breakfast. We will also need to do a little grocery shopping that day but otherwise we have no plans for the rest of the day. I am sure we will all be ready for bed pretty early though...

Sunday is Father's day and our first day in the park. I need to ask DH where he would like to eat that day and we will plan around that. Monday will be our beach day and we are considering starting in Huntington or Newport and driving down the coast to Laguna but I need to research this more.

BTW, we were at Target yesterday and they have the cutest Chip and Dale t-shirts in the mens graphic t-shirt section. I bought one for DS and DH!

We will be there the same time!!! Our first day is also gonna be fathers day!! I have been trying to decide where to eat that evening I had thought the House of Blues place had closed but its still on DLs site in DtD so im thinking we will go there

I am so excited...60 days from today we will be in Disneyland :cool1:. I was able to book our arrival night restaurant this morning. We will be dining at the PCH Bonfire Dinner Buffet since we will be staying there that night. The menu looks amazing, and I am really looking forward to the create your own S'mores they have at the dessert buffet.

Here's my question of the day... So what restaurants are you all planning on booking? What are you all looking forward to?

For me, I am excited for all of our dining reservations, but the one's I am most excited for is Cafe Orleans, Minnie's Breakfast, Tortilla Jo's, Napa Rose, and Blue Bayou (going to do the PTN dining package).

we are eating PCH buffett our first night also!!! Im really excited about Cafe Orleans our last trip I wanted to eat here and never got to so we def are this time!! Our non disney day we are doing pirate adventure im pretty excited about that too...we will also be eating at goofys for dinner carnation cafe is on the list EoS house of blues and lobster nachos is on must get list ill hv to eat these while others eat something else

We still haven't made up our minds completely on where we are going. We're still noobies, and the choices are quite overwhelming.

My son's girlfriend has never been to any Disney park and she loves Minnie, so we're probably going to do the Plaza Inn one morning.

I always wanted to meet the princesses, so we'll probably do Ariel's Grotto one day for lunch.

We figured if we loved Ariel's grotto that we may return for a WOC dinner a different evening but Wine Country Trattoria sounded appealing too.

I'd like to experience Blue Bayou, but may do Cafe Orleans instead. We're not huge eaters in general, and when it's warm out appetites get even smaller.

I do want to try a corn dog and a turkey leg though, just to finally get that curiosity quelled. Oh, and those lobster nachos that everyone keeps talking about.

It's really hard to plan the meals in advance since my mood for things changes from day to day.

Here is what I've planned so far for our quick little budget trip foodwise:
Arrive Wednesday June 8th- Eat at Earl of Sandwich for Lunch- DH's favorite, Rainforest Cafe for dinner, DS really wants to eat there
Thursday June 9th- only day at DL so eating at Plaza Inn for their Fried Chicken for lunch, my favorite :flower:and probably something from the food court at the Hilton for early dinner and then back to the parks for dessert at DL
Friday June 10th- driving home

To celebrate anniversary and birthday (okay, it's really for my bday, I'm humoring my husband), we'll be eating at Carthay Circle and doing the World of Color dinner! We are so so so excited! Looking forward to having some Earl of Sandwich for breakfast and dinner. We haven't gotten much further than that. Still reviewing choices at Carthay Circle -- cocktails and dinner!!

KCmike and family should be there from June 1st to the 5th. Fingers crossed. My son and I are driving cross country while the wife and youngest daughter are flying over. Then we are headed to the Grand Canyon on the way home!

Fairfield Inn again for us. Those prices for the resort hotels are just to ridiculously high. Even FFI has gotten out of control in my opinion.

I'm hoping for smaller crowds with the opening of Harry Potter at Universal and the refurbs at DL.

Hey everyone, I'm new here!

My husband and I are planning a trip to Disneyland in June- we went to WDW for the first time last year to celebrate our anniversary and had a blast! When we started planning our anniversary trip this year as a SoCal trip I suggested a couple days at DLR and here we are!

We'll be in CA from 6/4-6/10, and at the parks June 8 & 9. One question- I saw there's a Grad Night scheduled for 6/9- what sort of effect does that have on park hours?
You should be fine. They might close a little early but all the events are after park closing. Are you from Kansas City?

We booked Ariels Grotto for lunch our second day in the Parks. This is always one of our favorite meals so looking forward to it already! I'm thinking thats the only reservation we'll be making. Gonna relax and play this trip by ear a bit more.

My DH, DS and I are going in June as well! We are surprising our DS for his birthday, he'll be turning 9! He will be sooo excited! I'm so excited I'm having a hard time not telling him. :yay:

Has anyone celebrated a birthday there? Any tips or ideas we should consider?

I responded earlier but didn't realize you guys were going to the same restaurant we are planning for our arrival night too. We will be there the 10th, though.

I'll be back later to catch up on any new additions!!

Hope all is well with everyone!

Love,
a planning slacker.

Wow, how fun would it of been to run into you and your family. Have a great time, we will be dining there on the 8th :goodvibes.

I have Ariel's booked for lunch on June 7 at 12:30. My daughter is getting her hair done at Anna and Elsa's Boutique at 10:30.

I booked Blue Bayou for 5:00PM on June 9 and a Blue Bayou PTN package for 5:30. I will cancel one of these.

We will likely eat dinner at ESPN Zone on June 8th which is our "off" day. But I am not booking it ahead of time to keep it flexible that day.
