Just saved a little over $700 on our June trip! I had to switch the first part of our trip from POR to CBR though But for that big of a discount I'm sure we'll get over it!

I'm seeing that Port Orleans French Quarter, All Star Movies and Bay Lake Tower are also excluded....in addition to the before mentioned Mermaid Rooms, Campsites and Grand Floridian Villas.

Can someone confirm? This information could benefit a few folks who may want to book those.

I wasn't able to apply the discount to POR. They only had Royal Theme rooms left and my family of five can't fit in that room. Bummer. The CM said, "I'll give you a big hint. Call back in two weeks." Not sure what that could mean.

Ok I have a question. If you book (room only) and a discount comes out can you cancel and re book the discounted rate without a penalty?

You sure can. Actually, you don't have to cancel anything. They'll just apply the discount to your current reservation.

I just applied the discount to my YC Club Level stay. Interestingly enough this is the first time YC has ever had a price diff than BC on same room/view etc. I had already book and prefer YC anyway so was able to get a nice june discount!

These are the exclusions from their internal website:

Disney's Art of Animation Resort - The Little Mermaid rooms, The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, Disney's All-Star Movies Resort, Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter, Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and 3 Bedroom Villas are not included

No. The increase was just a few dollars to each.

My understanding is that if you had old pricing in your reservation that you get to keep that (as dining and tickets have gone up). If you alter it and put a new discount on, then you will have to pay the new pricing for both. It still may be a better deal. Call and ask a CM to price it out with the new code for you and compare.

We have a LK suite at AoA 6/21-28 and got the discounted rate today, $2544.64 total for 7 nights.

From what I gather from the Visa Discount post on wdwinfo AoA only has a 10% discount. So if I use the 20% from orbitz that would be my best bet. I could change to YC and it will be cheaper by DD has her heart set on LK suite. Plus there is much more room. But the pool and location if YC can't be beat. AHHH what to do.... what to do

If I booked through a travel agency do you know if I can amend the reservation on my own? I have all of the confirmation details... I trust that I would be able to call in first thing in the am, not sure about their hours.

No you can't amend it on your own. Since the reservation was made through a TA they and they alone control the reservation. However if they were a Disney certified agency they will more than likely be all over this type of thing when discounts are released. I know mine is. But there is nothing stopping you from calling and making the reservation yourself. After that you can have the reservation transferred to your TA if you so desire and have them cancel your original reservation.
